Cheffing Up With Mark, you should try to make Torauto Don which is basically like Unagi Don but instead you use trout instead of eel. Place the seared brown trout on top of sushi rice then drizzle on some cheap sushi style eel sauce on it. Hell, you can even knock yourself out and drizzle a lot of spicy mayo sauce or kewpie on it. A Tirapia (Tilapia) Don is also okay. It’s basically some good recipe ideas I came up with.
You need to add the "Dropper Rig" to your arsenal. Its great for Pier/Dock fishing. It keeps your bait close to the Bottom, but not completely ob bottom. You can add a 2nd hook (where legal)...

I've been there! It's by my uncle's place. Those fish n chips are spectacular! There's also a bar in the building that has great West African music sometimes. You can see the windows are by the water -- makes for a dramatic cocktail experience. I guess those windows get washed out sometimes in storms and they have to replace them and redecorate... lol. But they keep going!

Another good way to catch mackerel is to chum them up with chopped pilchard and then try to catch them

They are White mussels local to the area.

Mussels lives in aggregated groups and attach themselves to hard structures with their beard.
Clams live in the sand but can be found under or on top of sand.
