Tyler is a true instructor. He gives credit to the people who taught him and never pretends like he made it up himself. Very different from what you see on UA-cam nowadays! This is pretty awesome!

Garbage. You won't catch anything in that. You need a real snare.
Amazing how people will carry brass wire but will absolutely refuse to carry a real aircraft cable snare

You do realize that they do that to prevent from catching large game that they didn’t intend to catch don’t you? In some places that’s legally required. So it will break when something big gets caught in it.

Yea you just made that up. They use "deer stops" to prevent catching large game, not weak picture wire. Also location and size of loop prevents catching large game.
The snare in this video won't catch large game or small game. That's why I said its garbage... not because it's too weak lol... but because it doesn't close 9 times out of 10. It's a good way to starve though.
People deserve the truth when it comes to survival. This snare is garbage. Get yourselves acouple 110's and throw away the picture wire. Idk what it is with survivalists and picture wire/550 cord but when it comes to trapping, they have it all wrong

Life hack here. Guitar strings have a convenient Bead on the end of them. If you looped the string through the center of that bead, you can save yourself a lot of time. Just now guitar strings are harder to bend and shape than plain wire.

First time trying to make a snare. I wish there were more close up shots. Had to look at another video and come back to get a better idea on what I was doing. I think I got it though.

You don't bend a tree over and set wire between tree and catch stake? Everything hears the rabbit in the trap too, that's a predator call. I have never been able to catch rabbit except with tree, speaker wire, and stake or wooden live trap.

  • @crazynok5511

Everyone needs to learn this . You'd be surprised to know how many people don't know to trap and would starve sitting on a piece of wire.

I find this to be redundant. You do not have to twist two small wires together, simply used 22 gauge wire brass or steel. And that little dent in the wire and hoping the wire wants to recover is not dependable. The loop that you pass the free end of the wire through should be fashioned into a small figure eight. Then put the free end of the wire thru the bottom hole first and then the top hole. It will hold it anywhere you put it without a dent or any misformation of your wire. It will make a circle 2 in diameter or 8 in or 6 in or 5-in or anyting you want then rigged up your trip wire or any kind of snare that you want and use this way to make your loop. It will pull freely back through the little figure 8.
