Generally speaking I prefer a smooth finish because I’m a birdseye nut. My Mouton Bulldog is an exception…combination of smooth and rustication with the smooth surfaces showing off birdseye.
A good hand feel works for me ... with a naked finish, simply 👍👍 ... ;-)
The collector in me loves the smooth finish but the klutz in me makes me buy the rusticated.
