Analog or digital?
both, but with a bit more of a digital bias.
I use both, but I prefer analogue when possible. I shoot films and develop them at home. I write in my notebooks with fountain pens. I read physical books. I keep an analogue Zettelkasten. But I also read digital books and read PDF articles instead of printing everything. Well, I didn't get this UA-cam video from a VHS (but that would be funny).
I prefer to write by hand. The brain processes and retains information more concretely this way. Same is true for reading a physical book vs. digital. I am also an educator for little ones though so this is why I am biased toward old fashioned handwriting and reading. I love the book “When you Wonder, You’re Learning!”

Hi Robert!!! I love how analog you’ve become!! Your typewriter is beautiful. I could only imagine the type of typewriters they have out there in Colo mbia! If you look at my desk now, I have 2 cell phones 2 ink readers, 6 travelers notebooks , a cassette player and pens all over and you know what I’m happy with it. I used it all for productivity. One way or another. You’re an incredibly handsome man. 🎉 !! Come on everyone we can all agree to this.!! 🎉😊

I am enjoying the analog experience so far, the typewriter is awesome, I got mine for 40 bucks. A steal. I need to up my typing game though,it is way harder.

Thank you Thomas!! been spending more time in the edits to make them look and sound better. Glad you noticed. I am doing a morning pages exercise, basically journaling first thing in the morning but with the typewriter, it’s awesome!

I always get a little Bo Burnham Inside feeling when you give us the third person perpsective of you recording.
The one analog thing I picked up recently was my own record player. Getting into vinyl has been a greatjourney so far, listening to music intentionally more than ever now!
I do have my own typewriter from the later 1900 but sadly it´s just for display.

Ive been using moleskine for years, great notebooks. This moft notepad is more of a portable / invisible notepad you can carry with your cellphone. It’s pretty cool. I think it’s gonna be released in August.

What's your opinion on devices like the Light Phone 3? I'd be interested to hear your take on the minimalist 'dumb smart' phones that are gaining a little traction 🙂
I've personally preordered a LP3, bought an Android powered Sony Walkman for music (I have a large CD library to pull from and it supports Spotify downloads) & use a small tablet for entertainment and reading, anything else distracting like social media, doomscrolling & online shopping etc can wait till I'm home on a laptop where the choice to use it is a lot more intentional. It's a workflow that takes a bit of adjustment considering how "always connected" we're expected to be these days, but it works brilliantly for me for minimising distraction and keeping me focused on living in the moment!

I don't mean any disrespect, but your videos use to pertain to a subject or a theme, usually minimalism, and now, it seems every single one of them is an advertisement for something some brand wants you to sell. Is this what we can expect from your channel going forward?
As I said, no disrespect, it's only a question, and I ask because it's beginning to come off as inauthentic. I get it. You have bills to pay, but conversely, you only seem to make videos if there's a product to sell.

I used to talk a lot about minimalism, but I've evolved as a human and creator. I appreciate your feedback, and I am sorry to hear you don't find value in my videos. I invest a lot of time making them, and it is because of brand deals that I can continue to make the content.
