- An Ultimate Road Trip to Zanskar with New Route
This road trip has been one of the best experiences I have had so far. I am the type of person who usually likes to plan out every detail of a trip, from routes to accommodations to sightseeing spots. However, this time I decided to go with the flow and not plan anything in advance. It turned out to be one of the most memorable trips I have ever taken. We started our journey from Leh to Zanskar Valley, taking a new route that is still under construction and has never been traveled before. The road was quite thrilling, with some parts where the route was not clear. We encountered the Border Roads Organization (BRO) working on the road, doing blasting and construction work. It took a lot of energy and time to cover the distance from Chile to Nerak, and the road beyond Nerak was equally challenging. Eventually, we reached near Padum village and decided to set up camp by the river. We cooked our own meals, brewed some tea, and enjoyed a magical night under the starlit sky, with the stars reflecting on the river. Overall, it was an amazing experience.
