Hey brother glad you like it, if you prefer the fibers over the revision KEEP IT, we are going for a 1-1.5mm reduction in the built-in irons(we cannot do fibers at this height) to be compatible and more accurate with most sights.... That is in ADDITION to the Cyclee CAT Pro we have coming in the next few months, don't baby the thing, we tried to build it TOUGH! We might go back to fibers for future releases but for revision + upcoming we want the best height for MOST optics which means no fibers! Watch out for the CAT Pro!
Awesome. Some folks prefer the rear to be without color or markings so as not to confuse the front and rear in a panic situation. All preference really. I enjoy them. Im assuming you are associated with Cyelee. Thanks for the opportunity to show this one. let me know if you need anything else. Im quite impressed with this one and wouldnt mind trying more product.
@@ZRUSOutdoorsChannel Yeah to get straight to the heart I help with product development as one of my duties. We are familiar with some customers preferring without no matter how good the on-optic irons are.... The end goal to provide both and we have some lofty plans that are footnotes to the whole debate, but our Pro version takes a subtle approach to that not unlike what you may have seen before, other parts/design choices are completely new and we think basically all other companies are wrong and we want to do our own thing but we are making unselectable irons for people who aren't sure with the pro products similar to the 4/507k and non-intrusive. In the future for the more obvious "there are irons" optics, we intend to add with/without choices in the future similar to how many brands do green dots.
@@cyeleeunofficial That's great to hear! I've been looking for RMR CUT optic with the built in sights, & a top or side load battery! I have the CT2 & WOLF 0 and love 'em so far!
@@KindaShyBro Sorry brother just got to wait, we have to go thru a decent period of quality testing before we stuff, coat, box, and ship what we have, but we are on the way there.
Due to iron sights not being Bifocal Friendly, a few years ago, I started putting Red dots on my most-used rifles. Recently, I bought a G3c. Decided to install a low-cost Red dot with a dovetail plate. Wow! I can shoot accurately again! My main home defense M&P9 1.0 needed a dovetail plate for the CAT. So far, it's been great! Learning curve is longer than for RD on rifles, but the accuracy gained is well worth the time.
It’s definitely a game changer for aging eyes once you can get the dot to present itself naturally. Practice makes perfect, and there’s only one way to get better. Red dot on a pistol was my weakness at one point, but now I can draw and the dot is there and ready
@@ZRUSOutdoorsChannel I've been using a laser training bullet for close up practice. At 15 feet or less, just draw & point-n-click is a good way to get the 'feel' of how the pistol 'feel's in your hand, when it's pointed accurately at the target. After doing that for a while, I move back to about 30 feet and it's easier & faster to see the dot when bringing up the pistol. Grip is very important for me. I was surprised that practice with the G3c helped me a lot when I started RD on the M&P9. Fun stuff!
This dot has just come onto my radar. I ordered one to check it out. I've been a 507k fan, but if this does what it seems to do, this will be a great way to throw a dot onto a bunch more of my pistols. Thanks for a great review.
After watching about 20 hours of reviews of “budget” red dots for the RMSc platform I decided to go with the Cyelee cat G pro for its durability, glass clarity, red dot quality and direct mount feature. Unlike the holosun 407k and 507k which requires the purchase of a plate for mounting, and the countless reviews of the Swampfox and crimson trace RAD pro lack of durability. Sig Romeo zero reviews were also underwhelming.
That was a seriously Great review! Got my attention and will be checking this company out. By reading the comments, I can tell they really care about their products and customers!
Great review. I have a Taurus G3C and looking at three red dots all in the same price range of $160-$200 and they are the Cyelee Classic Pro, Primary Arms 10 and ADE 029. All are well made. The thing that I’m looking for in a a red dot is the battery replacement without removing the site. 3-4 moa and shake awake. I’ll be looking for more reviews from you. Keep up the thorough reviews.
Picked it up a week ago. Banged it around as you did, No issues. Put it on a Canik METE MC9, it was very close to zero, 1 or 2 clicks & its dead on. Shot a match 2 days later & won my division. I also replaced my Romeo Zero & no regrets. I just ordered a 2nd
@Orlando Pena I put the CT on my Buckmark Black Label 22LR. That dot was awesome. The green is easy to track & get on target. No issues, and I qon 3 stages, overall win in my division & 3rd out of 60 shooters. 2 PCC guys beat me. 😕. I'm looking at replacing another of my dots.
I recently mounted this sight on my Glock 48 MOS. I have Ameriglo I dot Pros on my gun, and with those irons, this sight was mounted directly to the slide with the included plastic "plate". It cowitnesses perfectly. Torqued to about 16in pds, the sight has worked flawlessly for the 400 or so rds fired with it on. G43x/48 guys might find this useful. I was worried the green fiber optic tubes on the CAT would sit above the Ameriglo RS. It does not. Its about level and looks very clean.
THEIR WEBSITE states that this red dot will co-witness with 5 - 6mm high front sights. BOTH sights on my XL are only 4mm high, and this is why co-witnessing is not perfect. I don't know if SIG makes a 5 or 6mm high front sight. I am considering this red dot for my EDC.
Wow , I can't believe what you just did to that sight. I just retuned my Cylee to amazon because I noticed a crack in the glass, and I didn't even drop it. only ran about 100 rounds through it , two range sessions and it was done. Ordered another, maybe I just got a lemon. Hope so because I liked it . Mine was direct on a Glock 19 without a plate. Nice review
Please consider giving us another try, I have taken a chisel and hammer to our glass and it's tough as nails... it sounds like your glass was making contact with the frame which is a manufacturing defect, the adhesive is supposed to fully insulate the glass from the metal. Basically, everyone does it this way, and attaching the glass is the most time-consuming part of making an optic, it has to be done perfectly to tight specs by hand, I am so sorry you did get a lemon!
@@cyeleeunofficial wow, that’s why I was surprised. After seeing the video, mine must have had a problem. I am 61 and it is my first red dot for a pistol, and I baby my firearms. I returned it and ordered another. It was directly mounted to the slide, is that a problem?? Thanks for the response.
@@lens7859 Mounting on the slide is absolutely the way we intended it! When you get your replacement, just like in the video there should be no babying required for it to function properly, the ones we send out for reviews are picked by our storage warehouses from batches of hundreds of units, we couldn't send a ringer if we tried! We also test the optics in batches on a recoil simulation rig, it's a pretty expensive and huge piece, so getting a more powerful one is just on the list, seems like there was just enough tolerance for it to make it past literally thousands of cycles(it operates about as fast as full auto) but was clearly at the failure point unfortunately when it was cleared. Both me and the owner are interested in getting these and all our other optics simulated with 10mm(REAL 10mm full loads) power and getting them onto gun owners' 10mm guns to shoot.
