Thanksgiving is big on the Drummond ranch. After all, it's one of the only holidays that cowboys actually take off. ""Thanksgiving is one of the very few days a year when there is no ranch work. Except, of course, this meal I'm making,"" says Ree Drummond, a.k.a. the Pioneer Woman of Web and Food Network fame. It's a meal steeped in tradition. Her grandmother's green beans and her mother-in-law's mashed potatoes make an appearance, as do a bronzed turkey and all the fixings.

She allows FREE tours of her lodge if you visit her Mercantile, which has the best food. You turn off on a gravel road which seems like forever surrounded by plains, cows and wild horses. The ranch is absolutely beautiful and I loved that it looked lived in!

We own 20,000 in Texas County originally lived on our ranch west of Norman which was 10,000 acres that's been in my family since the land rush we still own it but our Cattle was moved out too our Texhoma Ranch/Farm
