A few things about this video: - it's actually 13 weeks since quitting my job, not 12 - the neighbours were doing some DIY, hence some background noise in this video - I just bought a windshield for my mic when filming outside to stop that wind noise - I'll likely make some videos about what equipment I use for filming, my workflow and my typical work week in the future as had questions about those - now go do something awesome 👊 💫 edit: I am making my way through all your lovely comments - THANK YOU SOOOOOOO MUCH!
Thanks Laura - this was inspiring for me. I also long to be a full-time UA-camr 😅. I have the technical skills, but have trouble with consistency and staying in a niche (which I've recently said to hell with and will just make what makes me happy). Video idea for you - how you protect yourself from the negative comments. Also, your experience living with your mother again. 🌱
Hey Laura, I have questions on starting youtube! would love tips for a total beginers editing level and what basic equipment to get :) I'm thinking of a Cannon m50, what do you use?
@@isabellelakinn Hey Isabelle, the Canon M50 is a great camera! I have it. I now use the Sony ZV1 because it's smaller for my adventures. I plan to make a video about the equipment I use soon x
I can tell you why your subs have taken off, and why people are engaging with you: You produce original, interesting, informative, good quality content. You have a nice balance of having a positive outlook, but without ignoring aspects of your flow that you’d like to improve on. You’re an achiever, but you’re not intimidating. You make us feel like we’re on the journey with you.
Hi Laura, I think your content is excellent, but not just that, I love your honesty and credibility. Do not listen to the negative, whenever someone puts themself out there, there will always be negative. You're doing just great.!!!
I second this comment + those who say negative things are not putting themselves in the same vulnerable position as you are. You have that thing you can’t really put your finger on, which is the ”IT Factor”, and that will help grow your channel too. I hope you enjoy where you are at now, and what’s to come with a bigger channel and new/more possibilities💕
One of the most destructive things on your journey is to be surrounded by and listen to negative people…..been there, remember that channel with 10M subscribers at some point had one subscriber.
When I lie awake at night with negative thoughts chasing themselves around my noggin, I start mentally writing a story of something much more positive. This generally helps me drift off.
Hi Laura, I'm one of those who watched your fasting video, it just popped up and I practice intermittent fasting so I thought I would give it a view. I think what is appealing about you is your authenticity, vulnerability and honesty. Keep doing what you love, enjoy the journey and let go of the results. Good Luck.
I only watch because I love the accent. ;) I can understand it!! (You'd never know they speak English in England.) I also like the honesty. We need more videos of your mom. Congrats on your making oodles of $$ on UA-cam.
I was one of your 889 subscribers, I am so happy that you are doing so well, now that you have made the commitment to go full-time and you are making money, bonus!! Ignore the haters, most people will always appreciate how genuine and likeable you are. Keep the videos coming.
Because you are natural and real, people like that, we do get sick of the over the top sensationalistic promotion just to get a simple message across. Nice work, enjoyable to watch.
I found your channel through the fasting video also you popped up when i was looking through barefoot running then you were doing a Push-ups video challenge. I loved your down to earth take on my interests. I'm glad its all working out for you.
Good call. Its been some time now I have been Bare foot running and I tell you something its not only helped me with my running form but also curing my very old plantar fasciitis slowly. Cheerz✌🏽
I think I found you on the fasting video. I'm not 100% sure because whatever video I did find I ended up watching like 5 or so that night. I just enjoy your honest presentation of what you do. I found it educational in parts and very relatable. Also motivational. If you can do some of these things, I maybe can too. As for whats next. Hey I watch almost anything if I like the presentation.
I watch and listen as it is inspirational to see and hear a person have the courage to take on a new direction in life ( I was going to say later in life, but I won’t as I am 60 and don’t consider it to be too late for me yet either) and do so in such an open and honest way. We all get stuck in the “rut” of life and accept our lives as they are. You, taking the time to share your battles ( if anyone says “journey” again I will throw my toys out of my cot) with yourself is helping me ( and others I am sure) to muster up the courage to chase their own dreams. Thanks for this as you and your channel have come along at exactly the right time for me. Isn’t it great how this happens sometimes💪💥
Well, I'm gonna say "journey" one more time, so kiss your toys goodbye 👋😘). I'm 67 in October, and am a retired woman veteran. I began watching the many YT videos of ppl traveling all over the country in their cars, INCLUDING one woman who was close to my age, the Serene and Simple channel). I realized I was in a serious rut, and decided to make some changes. Last May I put my things in storage, and took off in my Toyota Camry. Everyone said I needed trade my car in on a van first, but I took my seats out and put in plastic file drawers. Then I went to Camping World and got a 4 inch gel/foam mattress and mattress pad. I switched from Medicare to Humana, so I could have free nationwide gym memberships, and take showers free. I LOVE my new life, and am snug as a bug in a rug in my Hotel Toyota Camry Mansionette!
Dear Laura. The human component of your videos is what sets all good creators from the rest. You always show your humanity, your struggles (physical, mental and emotional), and give it your best and your honesty. I really, really, like you, your “try” attitude, maybe is a new found attitude?, but it suits you, really!. Thanks for sharing. Love :)
Why do I come here? Interesting topics, fun challenges, well edited, and your sunny disposition. I feel cheered up on all the ones I've watched so far.
I watch because you're so easy to watch Laura! Such a pleasure to listen to you, a friendly face and accent. But probably most of all it's because you're so down to earth and honest. I love fitness and like daily motivation from social media to fuel that motivation so your channel is perfect! Love your challenges and we are the same age so it makes me think if she can do that, I'll have a go at it too! Totally understand the dwelling on negative comments and feeling exposed. I grew my IG account from 10k to over 40k followers in 2 yrs and rather than make me happy, I felt exposed and overwhelmed!! It was crazy because I'd worked so hard at building it but realised I was happier with a smaller following!! Anyway, really chuffed for you as it's obviously what you've been wanting to do for a long time and you are so good at it. Just enjoy it and don't think too much about it. Create content YOU want. You'll never satisfy everyone and negative comments sadly will come so you must just do what you want and enjoy it and that will attract the right subscribers. Thank you for doing all you do - I'm a big fan 🥳👊🙌❤
I started to follow you, because in your fasting video. You are so down to earth and you made it simple to understand. That I found very helpful. I am working up to doing a fast, because of what you did. Thanks.
I think you are such a beautiful human. Thanks for putting yourself out there. I hope that when you read a negative comment you remember that for the vast majority of your viewers you were the medicine that their humanity was craving. A salve for their aching soul and a brief glimpse into another simple life, that unlike much of the internets content left the consumer feeling better, more whole, and some how healthier just for experiencing it. Thrive-on Laura Try.
@@LauraTryUK Such a strange experience to evoke a response from across the world. May all your "Try's" be noteworthy, and please give your "mum" a hug. She has done this world a favor.
Just keep being YOU! That is why I tune in - you're honest, and that is amazing... you are happy to show how it's going even when it's not perfect... I love your challenges, and your sense of humor.... more of that!
I never really comment on videos tbh, but wanted to say I happened upon some of your vids and fell down a rabbit hole...You're a game bird and positively inspiring to boot. Two things I'd say are a winning combo for your vids: 1. Your work is well thought out and structured, offering insight and reflection on each experience and theme. 2. Your genuine curiosity to learn and share new ideas, alongside a very sweet personality make your videos authentic and very entertaining. Stay true to yourself kid, it's working !
Love to see you grow Laura! I have no doubt you're gonna grow stupidly big if you keep going on like this.. Oh and I 100% agree with Matt D'avella's course, really valuable stuff!
Laura, you are so inspiring. I love all your videos. Please enjoy the journey and thank you for being brave and taking the leap and decision to make this transition in your life. Thank you for sharing your experience. remember your experience makes sense to you and only you. others can talk and comment but you own the experience and achievements you have done. Thank you and please do share your journey at 6 months. looking forward to more videos from you.
Hi Laura 👋🏼. Thanks for this video. I’m also Matt’s Student in his UA-cam course, however I haven’t finish yet the course, so many things happening in my life sometimes it is hard to find the time, but I’m loving it. Your story is giving me hope, my channel is in Spanish and everything about living abroad in Australia, I put a lot of time in my videos but I can’t see any major grow 😞so it’s sometimes sad and disappointing, but I will keep going because it’s my dream and I have the hope inside me one day it will grow like yours. Thanks again for your review, story and inspiration. 💜💜
Hello there! Greetings from Covington, GA 🇺🇸 I really enjoy your videos🙂 I tried the 7 day fast after watching your video but had only gotten to the 4th day😔 Had keto flu and it was just too much. I will do the 100 push-ups 💪 starting today. Thanks for sharing❤💛🧡
Thank for your honesty Laura. You are doing great! Try to not think about the troll's comments. Sometimes people are goIng through a rough time and becone angry, hateful and jealous of others. Think how lucky you are for your creativity, your health and being a beautiful person inside and out. Now that you can, make wonderful memories with your mum and enjoy your life. Time is so precious!
New sub, love your work! :-) watched your 7 day fasting video, cool stuff! I turn 39 in September, just converted my parents house / garage space into a bedroom, cant wait! Also, 8 days into eliminating all sugar / processed foods from my diet, feel great now, but for 4-5 days was brutal, massive withdrawals, Who knows whats being put in our food!!!
Welcome to the 'Moving in with parents' Club 😆 And awesome work on the elimination of sugar! We are an unprocessed sugar house now. Several months after the 7 day fast it all just fitted into place. We are both feeling GREAT!
Thanks for being so transparent. You're very courageous for taking this leap especially with a low number of subscribers. But looks like it's paying off. Well done 👍🏽
What a great and inspirational video! I just found your channel through Matt's insta story! I'm also trying to make youtube my fulltime job while working part-time. It is so incredibly helpful to see other people with the same mission succeed! It gives me a lot of hope and inspiration and that is priceless! Thank you for sharing you earnings! Now I now it is possible to be earning enough without having hundreds of thousands of subscribers. Thank you!
I found your Channel through the fasting video. You popped up and I like your content how honest you are. Good luck and I will keep watching your videos 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Keep up the good work Laura. I found you through the 7 day fasting and the push up challenge. What I love about your videos is firstly your genuine honesty doing them and your bubbly personality - it's so engaging, you are a natural. But also I really like the science part of it too and the way you break the science down. Ignore the haters they add nothing to your world.
I found your channel maybe three days ago and have been watching all your videos!! Very addictive! I enjoy your willingness to do pretty much anything that comes into your head. Also you’re the first UA-camr I’ve personally ever noticed be honest about their income, which I think is commendable
I am sat here considering quitting my job and you had the guts to do it with under 1k subs. Well done! Super inspiring Also you are not alone, the levels of anxiety I feel around my channel growing and the pressure that brings really surprised me.
Hey Damien, thanks for your comment. I just checked out your channel - your numbers are GREAT! Make sure it's the right decision for you for right now, that you have enough money and a plan. I wish you all the best 💫
Hi Laura. Firstly, let me say how much I love your energy, enthusiasm and positivity in your videos - You're a real inspiration to anyone who cares about their health and their free time. The first video I watched of yours was the one called 7 Day Fast/Cell Repair. I'd been spending about 6 months watching UA-cam videos about improving health and fasting, and I think UA-cam just popped up your channel as a suggestion. I had already tried a 48 hour fast before, but after watching your 7 Day Fast/Cell Repair video, it inspired and encouraged me to do a 5 day water-only fast, which I just started this morning. Secondly, I feel the need to apologise to you, for allowing myself to get involved in silly and petty disagreements in the comments section a few weeks ago, which was prompted by your recent UA-cam FULL-TIME 3 Month Update video, from 9.45 to 10.45 on the timeline of that video, where you mentioned that you'd been affected by some negative comments about the 7 Day Fasting/Cell Repair video. I'm sorry. I'll make sure that I don't do that again. I just hadn't thought before I replied, that you'd read those comments, and might not like it. Anyway, Congratulations on your continued success on UA-cam, and I look forward to keeping up to date with your internet video adventures. P.S. - Who would have thought that changing a thumbnail on a video would have such a big effect on the UA-cam ad revenue ? P.P.S. - I have a request - If you have time to do it, would you consider making a video on the pros and cons of becoming a Vegetarian please ? - Thanks, Laura. I think you're amazing !
@@LauraTryUK Hi Laura. Well, I ended my fast last night, after only 57 hours, but I think that was because I hadn't prepared myself properly beforehand. As my previous successful fast lasted for 48 hours, I still regard it as an improvement. My next fast will be for 3 days, as I believe that small steps are more easily achievable than larger ones. I feel much healthier for it, and a health issue I've had for more than 6 months cleared up during my fast, and I also lost about 4lbs of belly fat, so I now know from personal experience that fasting works.
Hi Laura. Found you through your fasting video, which I really enjoyed, and went on to watch some of your other videos from there. I am now subscribed. Personally I love the challenges more than the product reviews, however I am only one person. I thought you made a brave decision to do this full time and I watched this video feeling so pleased for you that your channel was growing. I have no idea why people feel the need to leave nasty comments - always remember these comments say more about them as a person than they ever will you. You have achieved so much. Be proud. I, for one, am looking forward to see some future challenges. Good Luck.
17.8k now Laura, and this has only been up a couple of hours. Right behind you and the channel. You're extremely engaging and authentic. Keep the awesome content coming.
You are so cute and I love your accent. I am in the US. I first saw your fasting for 7 days and I subscribed. You have given me inspiration to think more seriously about doing UA-cam videos also. Getting ready to retire 😳 need something to look forward to. Thank you for all your honesty and inspiration. Keep up the great work 👍
As a mid-30s introvert guy who's predisposed to anything melancholic and the fear of life approaching 40, I'm inspired by your videos (particularly the birthday video) and (I'm baffled by) how you've managed to maintained such vibrant and addictive positive energy. As for the negative comments, I believe the positive ones will drown them out. Keep it up!
Out of all the UA-cam suggestions I get, why did I choose yours this morning. First reason - You make me smile. 😁 Second - Your video quality is always first rate. Third - your honesty. Fourth - interesting trials/experiments. I could go on, but you get the picture. Keep striving, your doing great.
Hi Laura, This is going to be long but there’s so much I want to say to you. I found you about a week ago. Your ‘No Food for 7 Days’ video popped up in my feed. I was intrigued and wanted to see more. These are the videos I’ve watched in the following order. 1. No Food 7 Days 2. Quit Job, Full Time UA-cam 3. UA-cam Full Time, 3 Month Update 4. The Artist’s Way - My 12 Week Experience Let’s start with the first one, No Food 7 Days. I’m guessing this had popped up in my feed with your old thumbnail and I ignored it. Even if I’d seen that thumbnail, I doubt that I would have clicked on it. But something about your new thumbnail, the side-by-side pictures of your pretty face, made me think you would be someone I could relate to. And I was right. You are charming and genuine and doing something I love to do - trying things to see if they work. I like starting each month trying some product - vitamins or supplements, the half-face thing with skin care products. But unlike you, I usually quit before the month is up. So I thought, maybe this girl has tried some of the things I’ve wondered about. I scrolled through your other videos to find out. That’s when I found the ‘Quit Job’ video. This one made me cry. Everything you said about making UA-cam videos is exactly how I feel about writing. In your words - I think about it every single day. I’m struggling to find the time to do it. I have so many ideas. I feel like my brain is going to burst with them. I don’t want to be old and look back on my life and know that I haven’t given it my best try. In my words - The thought of dying with all these stories in my head and not out in the world is crushing my soul. I couldn’t wait to see your ‘3 Month Update’. Again, I feel what you talked about. I work full time from home and by the time I’m done working, my creative energy is low and I’m just too sad to write in that state. Then I moved on to your ‘Artist’s Way’ video. Tears here too. I have this book and have started the course a couple times. But, typical me, never finished. And I realized in your week-by-week reviews that I didn’t know that most of that stuff was even in the book. I’m thinking now I must have only made it to the fourth week. Which makes some sense based on how emotional it was for you. I could see myself stopping there. Here’s the thing. You’re 37. I’m 67. So I’ve been feeling what you’ve been feeling for thirty years longer than you have. It took me 20 years to finish writing my first novel. I’ve been working on my second one for at least ten. And published? I can’t even imagine finding the time or energy to figure out how to do that. As for the Artist’s Way. I’ve had that book since the 90’s when it came out. I have done the morning pages off and on over the decades. Especially when I feel myself falling into a funk (sad and depressed). Journaling and going outside for a walk always pull me out. I can relate what you said about being sick and tired of that feeling of wanting. But still I’m not sure I’m up to taking the course. But I want to try. Because here’s the worst part. It used to be I’d come up with new story ideas several times a week, inspired by something I saw, heard, read. I’d write them down on a scrap of paper or even type up some of the dialogue so I wouldn’t forget. Now? Well, I can’t remember the last time I had a new idea. Or the last time I did any writing. Anyway, like I said, this is long. In summary, I just want to tell you: Never. Question. Your. Decision. To. Do. This.
Well done! Go for it hen! I think we all want to do the same but don't have the bottle for it? Go with what draws you, follow your path, it's right for you! 👍
I just love your content! You are so authentic en lovely to watch. And idea for a next video: I would like to know more about you: who are you, your childhood maybe and past relationships? What do you eat? Past sports maybe? Let all the negative slide from your back, you are wonderful! Kind regards from the Netherlands!
I’ve been watching them all LT, genuinely find it interesting. As for the sticking to topics etc, i wouldn’t be too rigid, keep exploring your creativity until you settle into a niche - but I enjoy your challenge videos (and learning about the health stuff like the whole cell rejuvenation thing)
Yes! Great advice! After making myself crazy trying to "figure out my niche," I've taken a break from videos and realized I just need to make the videos that I enjoy.
Subscribed because I’ve watched a few now, and you’ve already inspired me to start running again after a 3 yr break. I think your success is because of your honesty, mostly: with how you’re feeling, that the challenges are hard, that a lot of the time (particularly the running every day video that I watched first) you don’t want to do the thing, but you do it anyway. You’re doing all the things I’ve either tried, or thought of doing, but maybe not stuck with or even started. Seeing you do it gives me the confidence to try too. I also like that you’re not super silly lean or tanned or ripped - you’re completely normal, and honest, and yet still doing these things: that’s the most inspiring. Thank you!
I discovered your channel just yesterday and binge watched a load of your videos and I can't tell you how much the content resonates with me and my interests! Keep going!
Hey Gee, this is great news! Hopefully my future videos will also be the topics you are interested in. Teaser... the splits, pullups, health product reviews 😀
Hi Laura, I found your video through a random UA-cam recommend and just love your natural style. You just speak how we speak everyday. Your ice bath video made me try taking my showers with cold water. I have to say that it's very invigorating. Keep up the good work 👍👍👍
Well done Laura. You are doing amazing. I started my channel back at the start of first Lockdown. I had to close my fitness studio, I had already resigned from my teaching career of 25 years a few years back due to my bad ulcerative colitis. My channel is very niche in cycling but it's slowly growing but not quite at your rate but I have similar sort of goals as you did at the start. What I have found though is that YT promotes my business (cycle coaching and bike fitting) much better than other platform. Also I love doing live videos and feel like I am still teaching. Well done and keep it up.
I so appreciated your other video of your daily fasting journey. It was just what I NEEDED to inspire me to take the plunge. I was reminded that it IS a journey; my flesh is going to protest. It's going to want caffeine so I'm going to get a headache. I'm going to be irritable. I'm going to want to quit. But look at the end result of your fast! Your tongue became white (which meant you are detoxing), your face cleared up, your eyes got brighter, and of course you lost weight. I love the gaunt look my face gets too when I fast. One thing you didn't mention is, when I fast, I have dreams that I ate, and I get so mad at myself. Then I wake up and realize it was only a dream!! 😆🤣. So my own fasting journey is beginning today thanks to your inspiration!!!
First time I was recommended your channel was with your fasting video because I fast 40h each Monday. Then I saw your barefoot, Raynolds and ice-cold bath. What was the value I got which made me subscribe is the fact that they are not commercial, where courses and products are pushed to buy, but more personal relatable insights, real, human and the fact that the emotions and feelings are so honest is what resonates. Like you said you are creating videos because you have something to share, not for the ads etc. The journey you are making in your healing, to be more resilient, even sharing your earnings and being so transparent resonated with me and the lessons from each experience and how to overcome these life growth obstacles, challenges and keep going.
What has really stood out for me, is that you come across as very honest, humble and genuine person. You are not afraid to show your vulnerability and eager to have a laugh at the most simple things in life. You look confident and know your subject matter well, you present things clearly and well thought through. I really like the challenges as they motivate me to try them myself. I really like how you film around the house, it’s not staged or fake. Thank you and all the very best! You are a true inspiration! 💕👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
It is lovely to see that only in these few weeks your channel has grown a lot. I found your channel a while ago and finally subscribed too. I have spent most of my teen years with an eating disorder and after recovering, I've had an uneasy feeling about having any kind of a fitness goal. You have helped me a lot with relearning how to enjoy exercising and keeping track of my progress in a healthy way. Thank you!
Truly subscribed because I found you very inspiring as I too quit my job and am putting my all into my dreams. Thank you for the inspiration and honesty ❤️
Love your videos…but more importantly I love your honesty and your authenticity! Found you as I was researching barefoot shoes and running. Love your challenges! Keep it up and don’t give the trolls any of your energy…there’s only so much and it shouldn’t be wasted on them!
Just discovered your channel the other day & watched your fasting challenge, push-ups, & running challenges thus far. Enjoyed the content & in particular, your motivation in the first place, but the discipline to keep going. Good luck with the channel, & ignore the negative comments.
You'll do fine. Who wouldn't love you? Just so real and trustworthy. Found it interesting to know a little about how things work on you tube. Put them out. More! More!
I clicked on your pushup challenge vid and on this one i have been thinking of doing my own channell for over a year and am still affraid to do it you cant get your privacy back once your show the world and like you i would get pissed of with peoples comments i can understand that you couldnt get it out of your head it would be hard sounds promising what you have going on good luck with it all 😊😊😊
You are an amazing lady - so open so honest its truly a joy to watch. You are a real inspiration and your total commitment will successfully guide your content moving forward. Thank you for all your hard work.
You and who you are as a person makes these videos really great. I had no idea that when I started watching, you had less than 1k followers because they were so well put together.
laura , i am so PROUD of you ! i commented on your video where you said you’re going to do this full-time and seeing this video is truly remarkable . best wishes for the future 🌎✨
Hey Laura I am an Ex Pom from Surrey,UK living in Australia now and love your enthusiasm and down to earth attitude and really enjoy your videos brink on 100k subscribers! 👍
Thanks for sharing this Laura, it’s the side of UA-camrs rarely shared. Looking forward to the next update. On videos, definitely more challenges, you do them really well. Maybe some adventure trips? Multi day run / ride sort of thing, something on being cheerful of positive, mind sets. But mostly do what feels right for you, your honest approach is interesting and entertaining. Keep going, 👍
Hey Rob, I've got some challenge vids coming up which is great. And I'm pleased you said adventure and multi-day trips as I'm fit to burst to do more of those now I can.
Thanks for being so inspiring! I think you are doing a superb job! You inspired me to start running. Also, the fact that you are going for it and doing what you love is awesome! I think the fact you are at your Moms place is also very good because she gets to share in your success. Your decision to go back home was actually a wise decision! I really think you have made all the correct decisions. As far as the negative comments: ignore them… they are usually born from toxic individuals that are fueled by jealousy. Keep up the great work! Thanks for taking the leap of faith…
The 7 day fast video was recommended to me by UA-cam, great video. Just keep doing challenging things like that that relate to a lot of people and you’ll have a million subscribers before you know it!!!
I really enjoyed your fasting video, which came up for me because I've been researching fasting. I then watched a slew of your other videos because you're so normal and real and honest and funny and just very pleasant to watch and listen to. I know young youtubers like to act like Young UA-cam is the only way to UA-cam but like, who cares? Everyone uses youtube. More to the point, creativity and being yourself whoever that is is a universal Good. You are just as appealing as the flashy teenagers because what you're doing is what we all hope to do: exactly what we're called to. Love it!
Ok you asked….I believe in encouraging and being supportive. I like your honesty and can empathize with your struggles. I think that’s your strength. Product reviews are difficult because you have a completely different product availability than many. I’m a 61+ Construction Manager with 4 kids and a wife and I gravitated to your stuff in a search for legitimacy of fasting. I followed to push up challenge. I like the Tim Ferris type short duration empirical study and think that is your strength. Keep up the good work.
You are so delightful to watch, Laura! Congratulations on making a big jump to full time YT. Just be sure it doesn't consume you, find a good balance with personal time that doesn't include YT and your viewers. Since you asked what content I would like to see, would like to know more about your culture particularly in food, sports, entertainment, music and styles of clothing. Also would like to know more about the social etiquette...the dos and don'ts of your culture in case I ever visit!
Hello Laura, I am watching from Malaysia. I get to know you from the 7-days fasting video. You are doing a really good job and I hope to watch more of your inspiring video to live healthier and happier. I love your interaction with mom :) Is a blessing you can be around with her at home, making videos and earning too! Enjoy!
A few things about this video:
- it's actually 13 weeks since quitting my job, not 12
- the neighbours were doing some DIY, hence some background noise in this video
- I just bought a windshield for my mic when filming outside to stop that wind noise
- I'll likely make some videos about what equipment I use for filming, my workflow and my typical work week in the future as had questions about those
- now go do something awesome 👊 💫
edit: I am making my way through all your lovely comments - THANK YOU SOOOOOOO MUCH!
Thats when I subscribed to your channel ! I am doing the 7 day water fast !I'm on my 2nd day !🤗
Hey Laura, I have questions on starting youtube! would love tips for a total beginers editing level and what basic equipment to get :) I'm thinking of a Cannon m50, what do you use?
All the best🙂✌🏽
@@isabellelakinn Hey Isabelle, the Canon M50 is a great camera! I have it. I now use the Sony ZV1 because it's smaller for my adventures.
I plan to make a video about the equipment I use soon x
I can tell you why your subs have taken off, and why people are engaging with you:
You produce original, interesting, informative, good quality content.
Yes me too, fasting video
Good call. Its been some time now I have been Bare foot running and I tell you something its not only helped me with my running form but also curing my very old plantar fasciitis slowly. Cheerz✌🏽
Open and honest. Forget the negative, keep up the good work.
* note to self, will not say the word journey in future videos 😉
I'm pleased my videos are helping you with finding and going after your thing.
@@exposingfalseteacherreneer6821 AWESOME! yeh I'm feeling the need to change my life from fixed to mobile too.
@@exposingfalseteacherreneer6821 Have you had any mice yet? I think it was serene and simple who had mice nesting in her car. Ugh.
@@Ponkelina A travelling cat (preferably Siamese) will DESTROY any mice or rats instantly and with great relish, never to dare nesting again.
You go girl !!! Good for you. Enjoy your success.
Thanks for the amazing content i come here for the personality just love it.
Thank you so much 🙏🏼
I love the energy and the demonstrated willingness to push through the hard moments! Stay true and follow your vision!
Love :)
Maybe you don’t think you are, but you are kind of cute, as someone pointed in other comment:)
Im a true believer that good things happen to good people. You're doing awesome Laura! Keep it up!
Thanks for the reminder! 😊
Good luck girl keep it up
I started to follow you, because in your fasting video.
Thank you so much Sandy! 🙏🏼
@@LauraTryUK Such a strange experience to evoke a response from across the world. May all your "Try's" be noteworthy, and please give your "mum" a hug. She has done this world a favor.
I think being healthy and cheerful is a good channel motto. The content will fall into place.
You are a joy to watch. You remind me that my health and happiness are all that all that really matters. Thank you.
Just keep being YOU! That is why I tune in - you're honest, and that is amazing... you are happy to show how it's going even when it's not perfect... I love your challenges, and your sense of humor.... more of that!
Thank you Leana 🙏🏼
Good for you!!
Congratulations well deserved 👏👏👏
Great job 👏 I also liked the Jazz piano music in the background.
Keep it up kiddo you're doing great. Ignore the hate, they don't deserve your time.
The more hate means the more popular she’s getting.
I love who you are ❤️. Keep going
Hey Rosemary, it's great to see you again.
Thank you for your question in my post, I hope I answered it.
And thank you for your support.
Welcome to the 'Moving in with parents' Club 😆
And awesome work on the elimination of sugar!
We are an unprocessed sugar house now. Several months after the 7 day fast it all just fitted into place. We are both feeling GREAT!
Great work and be well!
This is the first time i see your channel so i will support you , i wanna see your journey 🙃
Thanks for being so transparent. You're very courageous for taking this leap especially with a low number of subscribers. But looks like it's paying off. Well done 👍🏽
Well done. Keep it up
What a great and inspirational video! Thank you!
Really enjoyed your fasting and push-up videos 👍🏼 keep up the great content and you’ll go far!
I found your Channel through the fasting video. You popped up and I like your content how honest you are. Good luck and I will keep watching your videos 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I love your voice and accent. So glad you are making the dream come true. Thanks for sharing!
Very honest & sincere post, thank you!!
You have a lovely fresh and honest persona and I think you’re going to do even better. I’ve been enjoying your videos tremendously.
Good on you!! Woo hoo!!💃🏻
I discovered you through the fasting video. Thanks
I am sat here considering quitting my job and you had the guts to do it with under 1k subs. Well done! Super inspiring
Also you are not alone, the levels of anxiety I feel around my channel growing and the pressure that brings really surprised me.
Hey Damien, thanks for your comment. I just checked out your channel - your numbers are GREAT!
Make sure it's the right decision for you for right now, that you have enough money and a plan.
I wish you all the best 💫
@@LauraTryUK thank you for this reply!
Happy at your success. Keep on doing the good work you are doing
@@TimTheComputerDoctor Congrats on your achievement. It sounds like you have a great plan ahead.
Laura you ate just great! Thanks 😊
Subbed because I think you have a cool vibe. Good luck on the videos 🏆
Good Luck.
Thanks for being so real, no pretending, wishing you the best.
Keep it up!
40 is the beginning of life. It goes by way too fast.
Hey Zach, I'm 64 and still ride bmx bikes and skateboards, you're never too old to have fun, just do what you love and love what you do. 😀
Ignore the negativity and keep going Laura. Your videos are very entertaining. Thank you.
Your honesty, sincerity and personality are what encourages me to watch your videos. Obviously also interested in the content. Congratulations
Hi Laura,
This is going to be long but there’s so much I want to say to you.
I found you about a week ago. Your ‘No Food for 7 Days’ video popped up in my feed. I was intrigued and wanted to see more. These are the videos I’ve watched in the following order.
1. No Food 7 Days
2. Quit Job, Full Time UA-cam
3. UA-cam Full Time, 3 Month Update
4. The Artist’s Way - My 12 Week Experience
Let’s start with the first one, No Food 7 Days.
In summary, I just want to tell you:
Never. Question. Your. Decision. To. Do. This.
Congratulations 👏
@@LauraTryUK amazing!! Can't wait 🤩
Drink water with a pinch of Himalayan or Celtic salt to reduce headaches and irritability.
@@taoist32 Thanks. Yes, I have a bag of pink Himalayan sea salt. I read on another channel to chew ginger tablets for heartburn and nausea.
@@exposingfalseteacherreneer6821 Never heard of the ginger tablets, so I learn something too. Thank you!
More! More!

You are genuinely amazing. Best wishes for your channel!!!
Amazing work, you give me hope. Really great quality and spirit in what you are doing. Keep it up 🙂
Thanks for being so inspiring!
I find your authenticity and honesty refreshing plus you are relatable. Keep on keeping on.
Brilliant update video Laura. It’s inspired me to keep going 😊
Enjoy!
Way to go Laura!! As a fellow UA-camr who just started, your progress and optimism is an inspiration. Keep up the great work 🙌
I love this! Thank you for showing your earnings. It’s so encouraging to see how it IS possible. Thank YOU!
