This is a really good video, I’m learning a lot I’m from Brazil, you could make videos about home items like table, bed and chair, congratulations on the videos.
There are so many words that differ from what I remember from when I used to talk to my grandmother as a child in the 1980s. She lived outside Nova Gorica.
Sandra, are you still in the U.K. or back in Slovenia? Which parts of Slovenia do you prefer? Is Carniola still a word used to describe areas of the country? I still believe the most beautiful women in the world are Slovenian....as you are.
No, we don't really use the word Carniola here and every region has something else going for it! My favourite is Gorenjska (the mountain region). It has the most beautiful nature!
@@SandraPotisek ...the Oberkrain (German word) region of Slovenia is where the famous Slovenian Polka Madels come from. Awesome group. I love Slovene polka, very traditional.
Interesting. In German (at least in Austria) Mama is informal (formal would be "Mutter") and Mami is mostly used by small children. If a grown up would call his mother "Mami" people would probably make fun of him :)
Hvala iz Trsta!
I love how Sounds Sloven! Thanks for the Video.

Awesome. I recommend you to make a video abou how to say the weather is and how to say the hours. Thanksssss
I already have a video on how to tell the time! You can watch it here: ua-cam.com/video/fDtcLqWnnFk/v-deo.html
Thank you Sandra, will you make more «how to conjugate » videos ?
Yes, will do! :)
How common is "babi" or "dedi"? I hear that a lot...
Is common to say babi (grandmother) and dedi (grandfather).
Yes, common! It's a short version of 'babica' and 'dedek', pretty much.

I used mama, tata, stara mama and stari tata
@@andreaspersic3262 Yeah, people from that region use so many different words! The Italian influence is very strong there.
Love it😚

Do you have a italkie practice ?) i would like you to be my Slovenian teacher
I don't, unfortunately. I've never trained to be a teacher or studied Slovene, so I don't think I'm equipped. 🙈

😆 Here mami is the most common. If I called my mom 'mama', she would probably be offended - this is how I call my grandma. 😄
I have to say... Otrok/otroci Is in czech slave/slaves
I've heard that before for Polish as well... 🙈
zaročencev_zaročenk pa res nimamo....
