So this type of (muka mereng)Lion dance head do exist....during my childhood, I thought my late AhKong on purpose gave me the ugly, looks broken facial type of Lion face, compare to what he gave to my rival cousin,Ah Kong favourite grandchild, that he received the today's most common, good looking Lion Head......mine not last long(2years exist) in 2x CNY as I purposely bang the head onto the wall when we played among cousins and i made the lion face become more out of shape and the paper skin peel off too till become like skull with bamboo stick support....and today, I only love watching the ugliest green flat face Lion dance and perhaps this one too, it does look unique....
my late-akong bought it when he "tengsua" that time. We don't have this type here except the (boring) common type but the young love this type because more active, & we still have the rare, hard surviving Ugly Green Flat Head n only the oldies like me might enjoy simple type of dance with original ritual. But we have the longest dragon length throughout SEA and manage to be on public again in 2007(Chap Ngo Mei) after 3 decades ban by extremist in "their" city. I accidentally watched ur video with the word Unicorn(I thought it's a horse with "tanduk") and I think only Sabah have this type of "Unicorn" dance,even our neighbor nextdoor don't have it too..
