***WARNING***This video is made for educational purposes only, if you attempt to make this at home you do so at your own risk and we can not be held responsible for any injuries. Making peanut brittle is a dangerous process since such high temperature are used to make it. With that said, for those that are curious and want specifics this is how we make it.
We add 10 pounds of corn syrup in a copper kettle along with 14 pounds of sugar and 2 quarts of water. Bring it to a rapid boil before adding raw peanuts; already cooked peanuts would give it a burnt taste since they would then be cooked for a second time. Once the candy reaches 285°F we remove it from the stove and add an ounce and a half of salt and 8 ounces of baking soda. Then we pour it on the table and flatten it our and wait for it to cool down enough to cut it into thirds and flip it onto our metal counter where we'll stretch it thin. Then we box it up for sale!

Rebecca Thomas what-
@Rebecca Thomas nigga-
@Rebecca Thomas I call this *Diabetic Ptsd syndrome* . Occurs when one sees too much candy in one shot and therefore chemical reactions in the brain causes it to release massive amount of stupidity chemicals, which the result is shown upabove. No cure has been formulated nor will it be. [End dialog]
They work together in harmony
Shoutout to the box of peanuts which says "May contain peanuts/nuts" on it!

Craig, I realize you help your parents in a lot of ways. Getting them business with the videos, and probably a lot behind the scenes we don't see, but it was pretty awesome to see you get in there and help them with the stretching. Made me proud.. haha Thanks for another great video. 💗💗💗
Thanks Shari! It was kind of fun working with them!
I was like," Oh my God! He's making Candy!?!"
Craig may claim to be a hot-shot digital media producer, but he's an Andrianos....candy making is in his blood!
@@HerculesCandy Yeah, I'd imagine so. It does look like a fun place to work. Hard work, but fun. Not something that's easily found any more.

Hercules Candy awww!! Thankyou for replying! this made my entire week!!!
I already am. having a son with your wife is the best feeling in the world. And Amreen i know you can be a great parent as well. Im only 21 and was scared at first but its the best thing in the world.
I was thinking the same thing myself, i decided to be nicer to my parents.
Am I the only one that this channel puts me to sleep in peace?
Haha you're definitely not the only one
Raghad El-Behairy: Happy to say that I fall asleep half way through (don’t worry Hercules candy, it’s because it’s like 4am, you’re not boring). I always wake up for ‘lunch’ and watch the rest of the video😂
How cute are your mom and dad when they flirt with each other. It is priceless. I just love all of you so much. So proud of all of you and your work ethics. God Bless
They are the cutest.

How many people love the HERCULES CANDY FAMILY?
BLAQK ! My husband. I miss my mother in law and father in law everyday. They were super wonderful. Perhaps why I appreciate Steve and Terry so much.

I realized how stoned I was when I couldn’t stop watching melted brittle spread across marble.
Your parents are so quick witted and funny, and also are living their best life. I love it lol
That exchange between your mom and dad was the cutest thing ever! I love them! They are such an amazing couple! RELATIONSHIP GOALS❤️
Oh my god! I could listen to them spread the brittle all day! WHY IS THAT SUCH A SATISFYING SOUND?!?! 😂
Yes I know it sounds like asmr
7:46
Autonomous sensory meridian response??
There is so much more going on here than just making candy. This is 'family' and it's maybe the most important ingredient to the success of this business. I find these videos so fascinating. It's been a Christmas treat to have discovered them!
Your mom and Dad are complete relationship goals and I love the reaction of the brittle I could watch that all the time
When the brittle is getting spread on the marble table, its pure ASMR 😍
What is ASMR?
@@hailla97 ASMR signifies the subjective experience of "low-grade euphoria" characterized by "a combination of positive feelings and a distinct static-like tingling sensation on the skin". It is most commonly triggered by specific auditory or visual stimuli, and less commonly by intentional attention control.[1][8] A genre of videos which intend to stimulate ASMR has emerged, of which over 13 million are published on UA-cam.[9]
@@maryjaneniles443 so an example that would be an ASMR for me would be Beethoven. I always get the chills listening to certain songs of his.
Sounds like pure chunky diarrhea splattering into the toilet water.
I just love the sound of the spatula running across the top of the foaming brittle and underneath.
ASMR
You guys are amazing. I really love how you guys run the operation. Nothing but sweets and smiles. And i love that copper pot you guys have.
So awesome to see a family together at work, hard at work, and interact with the love and passion of your candies and each other. Sadly I forgot how that went since my parents are gone and now my brother. Thanks for letting me share alongside-it felt like old times once again. 👍🏻
Your dads voice is great. So subtle but yet stern if needed
Your parents work so well together.
Blessings on your family business. I love how you guys are cute with each other. It keeps the love alive.
The "she's so cute" face was adorable 😭. A sweet family and sweet candy, hehe.
4:40 the box with peanuts says may contain peanuts 😂😂😂😂
It better contain peanuts!
In the netherlands you're not allowed to keep if off the packaging. It's illegal
Isabella Lopez 😂😂
@@tnvg6526 yep same in the usa any common allergen has to be declared on the packaging in a readable size and font.
I used to work in an old school German Bakery. We made all of our cakes, pies, cookies, breads, danishes, and many other pastries from scratch all by hand. We also made Jewish Challah bread as well. We used steam kettles to make our various candies, glazes, etc. I love watching this because this is exactly what I did for years.
Saqua2289 wait a sec... why would a German bake shop make Jewish bread 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
@@zoinks3599 why wouldn't they be allowed...
@@zoinks3599 we don't live in 1940 anymore, you know.
Noiz she didn't say they weren't allowed she was asking a question.
Its so awsome
When they are spreading out the candy it sounds so nice!
I think watching them make brittle is my favorite. I love all the different sounds it makes and how much it rises after the baking soda
okay.....we need a "You're so cute" t-shirt.... cutest little husband smile, ever....
With a picture of the dad on the shirt
Be careful with that stuff; it's brittle.
😁
😂 puns I love it
*clap *clap very punny
Wowwwwwwwww
😂
OMG ! I am so addicted! I started making candy! ASMR overload when spreading it, I almost passed out.
I’m not even there and I can imagine the peanut aroma killing me 😂♥️
The asmr for brittle is by far the most satisfying in your channel. The part where they flatten it out on the marble ❤
That sound it makes when you pour the mixture onto the table I could listen to all day. I’m not sure why that is but you just know it’s going to taste good. It’s not an ASMR thing but it is very satisfying!
*sigh* this video was satisfying from start to finish. Love this channel! Y'all are couple goals!!
Adore this family. Hard-working, dedicated and humorous. Great skills! Thanks for letting us into your world!
My favorite part is when Steve scrapes out the bowl.... It's satisfying.
I love this video so much, it just warms my heart to see Terry and Steve acting like such a cute married couple and then Craig working with them. It’s just so sweet, especially when Steve told Craig that he’d done a good job and was getting better. It’s this sort of family love that just makes my heart warm
Commentary is so genuine i love it. I didnt at first but y'all are growin on me. Ik im super late and this might not get seen by them but love the videos! Thanks for the content
"I don't want to spend money unless I have to." Reminds me, my grandma used to say, "use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without."
I know I’m not the only one that loves this part 6:33 ❤️❤️❤️
and 11:05 :)
Adding the baking soda is cool
I love dad jokes 😂🤣
Yes definitely best part of the video. Made me think of my dad. Long gone, but not forgotten.
Steve finds it more labor intensive, because he's the one who picks things up and puts them down!!!!
Love the family dynamic! You guys have alot of love!
I love your family! Your parents are soo sweet. Such a blessed family!
Watching the reaction after the baking soda is so cool!
That Scale looks like a Fairbanks Platform model 11 & 1/2. You will see the model number on the front of the platform.
If it has a wood inlay on the platform, you are looking at at least 1897 to 1886.
And if it is all metal, 1900 to 1926.
But that scale is one of the best scales ever made, they last forever and are easy to make accurate if they go out of balance.
Tim Keating epic
Wow impressive👍
it's like asmr when they scoop out the bowl
Boy, I love the various sounds of peanut brittle being made, combined with all your banters!
OMG Terry & Quick Steve are sweeter than the brittle. They are more than "14 pounds of sugar" sweet!!
I could watch them make candy all day. You guys have a merry christmas.
My first full time job was at MarySue Candies in Baltimore MD, started there around Easter time, mostly worked peacon table and removing candies (creams) from the ersober. One day a gal and I got to playing around and the candy got away from us, it was like I love Lucy all over. We both got sent home for the day, Mr Spector was super mad because the floor lady had to shut down the line. 50 yrs later and that candy factory is one of my fav memorizes. Thank you.
Rumah BenAvari That is so funny, because the I Love Lucy episode was filmed at the (Mary) See’s factory in Los Angeles , California.💝 I live in California and their candy is really good!

They are the most cutest couple working together with love laughter n fun. So happy to find this channel and subscribed x
I love the sound of the brittle mixing after the baking soda has been added.
I enjoyed seeing you helping your parents pull the brittle, Craig. You did a great job.
Their relationship is so beautiful. Bless em

I just love how seamlessly Terry and Steve work together. I realize they've been doing this for many years, but it's still just so calming to watch them. They make such the perfect team.
I think ive watched all your brittle videos... many times, and no matter what, when I see a new brittle video I get excited.. And watch the entire video ive seen a hundred times. Love it :)
I like how y'all seem so chill and down to earth.

Justin Madsen so satisfying, even after seeing it for years
You sound like this is a porn video
I love watching your videos! And wish i could taste your candies. Lots of love from Singapore ❤️🥰
I love to see this kind of crafting being done by hand. So much is done by machine. What a wonderful family tradition and business.
So, I'm totally diggin the extra camera angle. Adds a nice touch when Craig can't get everything.
The production floor is so quiet. I'm hearing a whole new set of sounds. And watching the stretching, I keep hearing Quick Steve say "the shredder " about Terry😂
I LOVE watching your videos - thanks for sharing - also love the family dynamics!!
theres something absolutely wholesome and endearing about this i cant stop watching, think i subbed a while ago but didnt fully realise or appreciate that this is family run and all, also the views are amazing your parents can surely retire sometime very soon if they wanted that lol i only say that because this seems like such hard work but im sure they love it!
I love how open your new shop is it's wide open and lots of personal space
SOOOOOOO satisfying watching you scrape that yum off the copper pot. Love it.
The way he looked at her 🥰. True love.

Thanks Starr, you too!
Love how you all work together...such awesome family memories you are creating... And documenting by filming.
You all seem like fun to be around... Great personalities.
Love the shopping vids..
Take care up there!
I'm secretly addicted to peanut brittle this is my vice oh lord
zero67439 why secretly?
It’s so satisfying watching them put in baking soda and then smoothing down the foam.
zero67439 , I like when Terry cuts the brittle. It makes a crunchy noise.
+Vincenza8907 i know they smooth down the foam to create a thinner brittle, but if your at home DO NOT touch it once poured! That foam creates air pockets and is the key to make the most delicate "brittle" thats not hard even your grandma can eat it! Ive never tried hercules brittle, but i could assume its pretty hard which some may or may not like.
You guys are always so happy to make candy it makes the videos more entertaining
I love the color, air bubbles and I can only imagine the sweet aroma. My favorite candy!
I'll be visiting right after Christmas from Florida!!!! I can't wait!
Thanks for sharing your recipe. I have a little (emphasis on little) nut business here in Australia (20 years- mostly Caramel Macadamias) and have been looking for a good peanut brittle recipe. Obviously, skill and technique are the most important factors, but at least I have a start. Love watching you work.
you should start making youtubes!
+Mark Mc i know they smooth down the foam to create a thinner brittle, but if your at home DO NOT touch it once poured! That foam creates air pockets and is the key to make the most delicate "brittle" thats not hard even your grandma can eat it! The more you "thin" it out the harder it gets because you stop that air bubbles that create that delicate britle we all love. Also, add a little bit of vanilla extract when you add the baking soda, trust me! You can even add a tad bit of butter when you add the raw peanuts if you don't mind the extra fat. Only gives more flavor. The recipe i use is 2 cups sugar, 1 cup corn syrup, and 1/2 cup of warm water to be the best base to start off when at home. When the temp is about 250-270 add 2 cups of raw nuts (whatever you prefer can be cashew , pistachio, etc) and plus 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter. Add as much salt as you like for flavor (southerns even add some Cayenne pepper for a little kick!). Once at 310 remove from heat, add 2 teaspoons of baking soda plus 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and stir till mixed. Pour onto a cookie sheet thats buttered or sprayed and DONT TOUCH IT!
Thanks so much for your advice. I am having trouble sourcing Corn Syrup here in Australia, though have mnaged to find some on EBay from an Australian supplier. Hope to do a test batch in a week or more. Again, thanks so much to everyone..
I have seen reciepes that use just sugar and water, but ive found the added corn syrup makes it easier to get the consistency we want.
@@yandenuts I think y'all have glucose liquid if I remember from the english recipes but is almost the same
just love the interactions, not only do you show how to, do's and don'ts, but you share the recipe, best of all tho, there luv, passion and hard work being hi-lighted in everything you do,
I love the way it changes and foams up after the baking soda is added.
Fiddlesticks would be a good name for a candy.
I love them. So nice people and the son is so cute 😍😍😍😍
The candies are as sweet as their love. I wanna meet them, I am serious!!!
I absolutely love your mom and dad. looking for the route to buying some of their candy...thanks so much for show casing their beautiful work.
I love the way the brittle sounds when they pour it.
Is it me or you spreading the brittles it is soo good for asmr👍👍❤️!!
It’s so satisfying when they pour it out
I just found you guys and am absolutely enthralled with your candy making..such hard work, but such an awesome family...
The amount of love they put into these candy’s 🍭🍬 amazing job you guys 😁
I love watching you make brittle, it looks delicious!! And I think it's awesome seeing Craig help out like that with the stretching of it. I can't wait for January (or maybe December) to come. By then it will be cool enough for me (I live in Southern California) to feel safe enough to order some chocolate goodies!!
You can always order the candy along with the cooler packs
@@Tater_Lord that's what I plan on doing 😄
Wouldn't it be easier on your back if the corn syrup was put on top of something so you didn't have to reach down so much?
Kate RH ya but then you need to lifted it up and down and that is so so heavy
their convos are really cute i love it
You guys are wonderful! I so enjoy the banter and the family closeness. Your skill at the art of candy making makes it look so easy...And I know it's not...Your love of what you do shows. More videos PLEASE!
