She was very articulate and actually made it interesting. Interviewer questions are always so superficial and silly. Most actors stumble through them. She was wonderful. Very soothing voice. I could listen to her for hours. She should make relaxation tapes for calming the nerves. I would buy them.
Kim doesnt she have a lovely and charming personality off sceen as well as on ! I find it intersting to watch a celebraty on a talk show as theyre true self shows through, usually. Kim Novak was a special darling indeed!
Tyrone Power.....'let me see'......'you want the truth?' she is probably thinking. "Total douche bag." No, they did not get along but she played it off quite well. I guess that's where the real acting comes in, in the promos and interviews....but Kim had good breeding even if she did come from a family with not a lot of money. You can tell she was taught the proper things, and was very strong in her own quiet way. She was so young, with no experience and had so much thrown at her. She did an amazing job with it all.
I've watched a video in which Jayne Mansfield talked about making a film overseas for Runaway Productions and I noticed in listening to Kim Novak here that she and Jayne Mansfield had voices that were quite different from each other yet the rhythm or perhaps cadence of their voices are remarkably similar.

Are Kims thoughts on Tyrone true here? She seems a little edgy discussing him. The press reported they didnt hit it off and Power was quoted as saying about Kim,"Confusion between temperment and bad manners is unfortunate."
My guess is that in 1950s movie stars (especially women talking about men) were even less expected to show their real attitudes towards their co-stars than they are nowadays
