Athel was my starter, love her aesthetics and utility in-game and I love how she fits into the lore. The twist on her AOE was brilliant, very well done y'all.

@@RaidShadowLegends, I'm afraid Kael is not related to Galek & Athel. I can't see the connection. I play before the official start and I still remember when you enter the game, before you pick your first champion, they both act like it's their first time meeting Kael. It doesn't really matter, the old story is erased and a new lore begins.
Back then, Elhain was the most popular choice. For me, Kael is the best, even if I'm disappointed by his legendary variant. I can't wait to see his video.

Nice Athel's origin story, and the fact that they introduce Shamael as part of her origin story is fantastic, with the Pilgrim champion there as her obstacle.

The quality of this show is very high. Whoever is writing the lore, the story and the animators are all doing a great job.
Also I love the fact that Athel's childhood friend is Inquisitor Shamael. I wonder which character cameos we're going to see next.

Here is another Unnoticed Hidden Easter Egg. As The Arbiter is touching The Portal, Infant Athel Laughing while Galek is saving her, can be heard, even before The Arbiter calls for Athel.

Example God Seeker is loved in the game because she is so powerful and useful on any account. The series really gets that and knows the characters places relevent to the game..Loving this series :))

You seem to forget the days of the "webisodes" for various "web-series" on many sites. Short form is short form.
Glad that the lore is starting to unfold.
Not glad how it has WoW/MTG elements, even details (just with a bit of different twists and tweaks)
But in the end all of em are fantasy genre and in that spirit, J.R.R. Tolkien is unavoidable, so can't blame anyone for not being able to avoid some stereotypical characteristics, scenarios etc.

I always thought Raid is very Warhammer inspired, but as you said, it's all Talkien themed fantasy.

I saw a lot of Pathfinder lore inspiration in the Galek story.
@@kmcd6140 to be honest, in Galeks video, the first thing that popped is Thrall (orc)-human relationship from Warcraft. But it was just a pop.
