Since I am not a native French speaker, feel free to point out any translation hiccups in the English subs or any transcription hiccups in the French subs
Well, more accurately, "Je vais aux chiottes" literally translates to "I'm going to the [informal word for toilet]", and the informal english term for toilet that I decided to use for the subs was "the john"
1:06 I love how SC's after images line up to perform the same consecutive attacks. I know faithfulness to the source material is important but using the animated medium to this extent is a reason why I enjoy the OVAs
For you to know, the voice actor is called Jérôme Pauwels ! Can you make a similar french dub showcase for DIO vs Jotaro in the final eps? The scene where Star Plat voice crack. Or at least show me where can I watch the FR dub OVA?
You can find some episodes on youtube and some compilations (although without subs). I might make another compilation but I'm not sure if I will, since someday I wanna make a subbed version of the entire french dub. Although I can tell you that the voice crack scene is super underwhelming, he doesnt even say ORA, he just grunts in the scene

From what I can find, "les majorettes" isn't some sort of common expression, he just calls them that. Majorette is also an english word and means the same thing, but I've literally never heard the word used in my entire life, so I felt like "parade girl" would be a more understandable way to translate it.
@@bortus-kun1684 Huh, well fair enough. Maybe it's the French equivalent of calling your male friend group 'ladies' or something? Either way I salute your effort! o7

It’s very good don’t worry. I’m french and I haven’t noticed any mistakes at all

@@Kadagoro He says "bonjour chez vous". There are also french subs if you wanna see what any other parts say btw

I can't believe this is how Polnareff would've been speaking like his whole life 😭
OVA French Polnareff is one of the best dub in all of anime.
Merci 😇

Avant vu que j'avais pas l'image je croyais qu'il insultait un mec en disant " ho tu est pauvre même dans les pays pauvres " 🤣
I love how this makes it seem like part 3 ended with Polnareff killing Dio and everyone immediately living happily ever after
well except for iggy lol
If only Polanreff was given a French accent reminiscent of Jean-Claude Van Damme in the English dub. It would have been so much fun.
Well, Jean-Claude Van Damne is Belgian so having a Frenchman with a Brussels accent would be a bit weird
@@frijuhtomucko Still, he is from a Francophone part of Belgium and his personality as well as his name fits Jean-Pierre Polnareff.
