I purchased 78 degrees of Wisdom and passed it on without even looking at it much because I figured it was just a regurgitation of the “same old” information. THEN, I was gifted a copy of it about a year ago and I realized what a treasure it really is.
I totally get what you mean about the general Tarot books. Often times they can feel pretty repetitive or same. That's also why I take a lot of time and research to decide if I get one or not. Often I found that I have to read 3 pages on one of the Tarot cards to get 1 or two sentences that really are new or a fresh perspective and the rest of these 3 pages are pretty much the same that I've read in every other book and I already know. And I love that I've gotten these two sentences/breadcrumps added to my existing knowledge but it's just not worth it having to take the time to dig through pages of reading to find them. So I really got a lot more picky when it comes to that. But you really got me excited and feeling confident now about getting the 78 degrees of wisdom.
Shaheen Miro cowrote Tarot for Troubled Times which I found really comforting and it had some stuff in that was new to me, esp around the knights and Justice. I just got the Liberation Tarot and I am loving it.
Oh, you may have already done s videos on this but I would be interested in how you feel about lemormand reading as someone with a strong playing card reading tradition. Are they similar to you, is Lenormand a different approach, do you use the playing card insert associations?
I love glossy cardstock im not really into matt cardstock even after using the matte cardstock cards they still dont shuffle properly and stick as well not a big fan

Seventy Eight Degrees of wisdom was the first tarot book I ever bought and still my favorite. Use it just about daily.
The Uncommon Tarot is a stunning collage deck. I’m with you, I love the colors. Might have added the Sirens Song to my list. 🥰
