Thank you for saying the part about doing not just reading. It has taken me many years to realize this and the second I did a weight lifted and I found a passion and joy I never knew I had.
Hi Raecine! Couldn't leave without taking a moment to thank you for the beautiful content you have created for this channel over the years. It's been a good 8 or 9 years since I first stumble across your videos and although tarot for me became now only a personal (and at this time distant) practice, I have learned sooooooo much from you and always considered you as my teacher.
It is a priviledge to have found you. Thank you so much ❤️
Will you do a review of your favorite fiction books of all time? Our taste is similar and I have found some of my favorites with past reads you’ve shared. Thank you ❤
Just got the Psychic Tarot e-book. Thank you for these recs 🙌
I also have in my library Christopher's book, I was very drawn to it. Solitary and very independent witch here :) Your whole outlook on the why and where of being a solitary witch is mine as well. Kindred spirits. Whatever channels you decide to start, I'll be there LOL!! I hope you are settled soon and find peace there.
Love this video!! Years ago, you had one on books for baby witches that I remember watching MANY a time. I really appreciate that you aren't endlessly changing your recommendations to follow the trends.
Tarot 101, Psychic Tarot, and the entire Inner Temple series were hugely influential to my own journey, thanks to your recommendations all those years ago. ❤
There are a couple of books in this video that are new-to-me, and I'm excited to explore those in the future!
Beautiful energy
Beautiful message
Beautiful soul
I deeply appreciate the book references, Raecine, as well as the deep wisdom beneath that emerges through the crack in the sidewalk, so to speak. (1) You demonstrate an awareness of the broader field of high and low occultism, collective and solitary practice, (2) You take nothing verbatim but translate all to your own path and experience, (3) You reveal the process of building a strong foundation, making your own paradigm, and living beyond the basics. P.S. I love you!
As a Virgo stellium I definitely have that issue where I feel like I need to read and study every word ever written before starting any project lest it not be perfect (GASP). Recently I've been taking your advice and trying to ditch the books and just get in there and get my hands dirty and learn that way and I'm enjoying that journey.
Wow, thank you for suggesting Conjuring Dirt because I have been interested in spirit of the land recently.
you are one of the most comforting souls i've ever come across. you are a gentle whispering leaf in the chaotic storm of this world..♡
I would love a video about the court cards and a video on energy practice (I think I have mentioned this in a previous comment). Thanks for this. I have no one to talk to about any of the things you mentioned so I am learning so much through UA-cam.
I’m so glad you did this video! I was wondering if you could do one about healing from sexual trauma and abuse through tarot and through witchcraft path t❤❤❤❤
Thank you! I bought 3 of your recommendations for tarot !
I am so with you on these book recommendations! Tarot 101, Psychic Tarot, and Holistic Tarot are fantastic for beginners. I wish they had been my first books. But one of my first ones is also really good if i remember correctly: Greer's Tarot For Yourself. :) I read modern and new tarot books occasionally but I must say I'm rarely impressed. Many of them seem more political than spiritual to me, and others just regurgitate what's been said 100 times already...
Great list! I really identify with what you said about Rachel perspective because I found myself having a hard time with her way of describing court cards.
Thank you, Raecine. I enjoyed your recommendations. 😊
"Tarot 101" by Kim Huggens is a fantastic rlbook. She writes beautifully about Tarot and the exercises, I agree, are very valuable. I still revisit that book and I have been reading Tarot for over 30 years.
More recently, "Finding the Fool" by Meg Jones Wall is excellent for beginners.
"Tarot Priestess" by Leeza Robertson is also lovely for exploring the divine feminine for people seeking a structured experience that doesn't box you in either. It has spreads and guided journeys / meditations.
I also like Theresa Reed's "Tarot for Troubled Times" which focuses on shadow work.
I love reading and learning but experimentation & experience are certainly the best way to build your practice.
Thank you again, Raecine. ❤
Don’t know if it was intentional or not but you are giving major Vivien Leigh as Scarlett O’Hara in the final scene of Gone With the Wind vibes. Gorgeous!
Yes!
OMG! That’s exactly who my brain was trying to prompt me to put together as her looking like!
Please yes!!! Another channel on ANY subject please 😂 would be so great!!!!
Yessss to Inner Temple of Witchcraft! I was about three years into my practice when I discovered that book and it was a game changer. I wish I had found it sooner!
Great video.
The best recent book on tarot I’ve read is “Queering the Tarot” because so many of the older books aren’t very inclusive, and the court section in particular was great IMO. Focusing on tarot as an aspect of spiritual resistance against injustice is also such a great concept and I loved it.
There’s a few of these books that I haven’t read, but the Temple of Worchcrft series I read on your recommendation as a reader and witch of 30 years and I found it a great book to recommend to newbies, and when I want to strip my practice back to bare bones in times where everything is overwhelming, dysregulating, and activating to do.
Interested in what the second channel is going to be? Music/art? Book reviews?
I think you would like the books, Ecstatic Witchcraft: Magic, Philosophy, & Trance in the Shamanic Craft by Fio Gede Parma and Magic at the Crossroads: The Devil in Modern Witchcraft by Kate Freuler. 🖤🖤🖤
Yes, yes, yes about the rant! 🖤🖤🖤
Great recommendations, I own many of these!
Such a good video, thank you
Yet another gem 💎 of a video 🇳🇿🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘
Thank you Racine 🥰Lots of Great recommendations! ❤❤🖤🖤
A second channel qould help things stay organized and a good idea
Great video. Were there crickets singing during your video?
"armchair tarot/witch."
i feel so called out as i lean on
the arm rest of my couch..lmfao.
Totally agree, experience is everything in my mind. Armchair witchcraft is lame 😂 Start practicing, then learn. Great video❤
Wow! Is that where that feeling is coming from? Is that the religious trauma?? I don't have the words right now. 🤯
Yes! Love all the things! I recently just got Tarot 101 from your recommendation on a video that you made quite a while ago. Looking to dive into it as my Samhain new year resolution
I feel like tarot is like science as it is ever evolving and there are always new things to learn and add to one’s knowledge base
@@teslagoth9401 I think that is true of oracle cards, because there really are not any rules. Tarot however, is based on a set of rules that are never changing. If you change the meaning of the cards then you no longer have the tarot.
@TheScreamingElf I think the point of the comment was that tarot is so rich you can keep learning for decades. It's not about changing the cards' foundation, but rather see all the layers and dimensions. Every single symbol on a card can be deeply studied. You can view cards from different perspectives, like Jungian, Christian or Hindu, and learn how their slightly altered views offer new insight and knowledge not only about the cards, but about life itself. Tarot is DEEP. Thinking there is only "one meaning" to each card is a mistake in my humble opinion.
Also no pressure 😂 but a book!!!! Oh my Gosh I’m already there girl! Would you consider it?!
No Phantasmagoria? :O
would love a reading with you one day
💙💙💙
For tarot 101 did you do the work in a separate notebook or did you write out your answers in the physical book.
Here is a new book that might be worth a read. The Psychic Art of Tarot: Opening Your Inner Eye for More Insightful Readings by Mat Auryn. If it is anything like Psychic Witch, it should be a winner.
i need a second channel.
