Fast Fix 8: The Success Story

With traditional construction methods, it would have taken three years to replace the eight deteriorating bridges in desperate need of replacement in downtown Nashville. In 2015, with the Accelerated Bridge Construction method TDOT and its contractor, Kiewit, completely closed the downtown stretch of I-40 for ten weekends and got the job done.... and finished seven months ahead of schedule.
