No plans for any sort of alternative travel? A passenger train service would help reduce congestion too, and also not putting private companies in our public infrastructure.
As always, you have three lanes of congestion, you add a lane, you have four lanes of congestion. And even worse, they're talking about adding Lexus lanes, because what does it matter if the rest of us are stuck in traffic as long as rich people can get there quickly, right?
24 should be widened to four lanes in each direction in Chattanooga instead of three as you mentioned. The same for 75 between Ooltewah and Exit 20. If you're going to go these great lengths for improvement, adding just one more lane to each side is lazy and not exciting at all. Giving us four lanes on each side is an achievement worth celebrating. Starting these projects in the next year should be the goal.

Of course not. No point in doing anything that would actually solve transportation problems, just add more lanes!
One more lane should fix everything… right????

24 shouldn't have any more lanes. The space should be used for a high speed rail corridor.
This is all great news.
No mention of completing I-69.
Good. We don't need more interstates.
@@jonc4403 Not new cross-country building. It would upgrade existing US 51 to interstate standards from Dyersburg to Millington.
@@musicman451 How is that better? Look what I-40 did to US 66, absolute devastation to the small towns it went through out west.
