I know in these videos we show you a lot and it goes by so fast that sometimes it's hard to keep track of everything. That's why we wrote a full blog post on the Flamingo Camground in the Everglades with all the info you'll need. Please check it at rvlifestyle.com/flamingo-campground-in-the-everglades/

Hallo. Thank you for letting us see your journey. I am in a wheelchair and my biggest dream is to see alligators in the wild. And you just tell me it can be done. Love it, thanks. Hugs from Stockholm Sweden

The boardwalk at the Ahinga Trail is perfect for wheelchairs and the gators will be right below you. You wont be able to count all the gators you'll see!

My husband and I just stayed at the EcoTent site in Everglades National Park. But never again! The only reason to stay in these tents is so you can have a lovely view of the water and the sunset as you retreat for the night and wake up in the morning. To get these beautiful views you need to have your tent flaps up. But our tent was located with our viewing windows on 2 sides about 8 feet from the boardwalk. Yes, we could see the water, but also everyone walking past. And they could see us. And they looked, and they waved, and they even shined lights on us in the middle of the night. It was ridiculous. The fishbowl effect plus the long walk to the not very clean restrooms, the battalions of mosquitoes, the closeness of the tents and total lack of sound privacy, and the inability to have any food at or inside our tent meant that this was not the trip we wanted. We brought great food with us but ended up eating it in the Marina parking lot with mosquitoes all around. We had planned to stay 3 nights as we have loved the Everglades for decades, but the discomfort and disappointment in the EcoTent site meant we left after 1 night. And of course EcoTents of Flamingo Adventures does not give refunds. Never again! Save your money and bring your own tent.

Thanks for the neat video on the Everglades. My wife and I live in Venice in south west Florida and have been to the Everglades several times. We recently purchased a 24ft class c and look forward to staying at Flamingo camp ground. Don't know if you were able to visit Shark Valley while you were in the area. It's part of the Everglades and very interesting. Located on rt 41 west of Everglades N. P. It is also part of the N. P. System. We would highly recommend it if you weren't able to see it on your visit. Thanks for your videos and keep up the good work. 👍🙏🌴

Loved this video. My husband and I drove thru the Everglades in the early 70's. Have always wanted to go back with the motorhome we now have. Really eager now that I know about Flamingo Campground. We have heard there are many more snakes in the Everglades now, did you see many?

We were there in February and it was blistering hot and humid. No electric hookups available and the rude camp hosts would not allow us to park our 19.5' camper van even just a few feet on the lawn to get some tree shade. Our senior dog did not do well. The bathroom was disgusting. The shower floor drain was not working and anyone going into the bathroom had to stand in 2" of dirty shower water. Camp hosts said there was nothing they could do. No see-ims were out in full force. Saw very little wildlife. Probably would never go back there. We did however, enjoy the Tamiami Highway as we headed to Collier Seminole State Park. Saw more wild life and birds there.

Allstays only gave it 3 out of 5 stars and it seems like the mosquitoes are the main predators at that campground.
