Hi, this is Stephen Key and Andrew Krauss. We are here to help you make money from your ideas. We started our company inventRight over two decades ago to teach people how to license (aka rent) their ideas to companies in exchange for royalties.
This process is called “product licensing.”
On our channel, we show you exactly how you to take an idea and license it to companies in exchange for passive income.
Today, you do not have to start a business to make money from an idea.
With product licensing, you don’t have to write a business plan, raise money, manufacture, market, sell, or distribute any longer.
Visit our website inventRight.com for more information.

    Depends on the country.
Provisional patents applications are accepted a many countries.
Typically, most products get licensed in United States.
But that’s not the case and every situation. Yes we have students that have licensed outside United States.

Ive been itching to get my Door Hardware in other counties (since it fits in almost ever door) BUT, I am worried since I do not have Patent Protection in those counties, I don't want the product stolen and reproduced. You mentioned PTC while I was righting. I will mention that to my Patent Attorney. Thanks Stephen.

Is our provisional patent accepted in other countries, or is it a different one per country?
Do you know of any student, who has patented a product here in the US,
and got a deal with a foreign company? Do we even need a patent for international deals?

These are great questions. Some countries other than the US offer the option to file a provisional patent application. A factor when considering where to patent is where the product will be manufactured and sold. The question of "do I need a patent" is about the company you're licensing it to and the industry. Some companies will require it; others you may negotiate to have one filed in your name; for others it's not so important. Keep asking great questions! If you haven't read Stephen's books, they offer a wealth of info to consider.
