The Buffalo River is awesome! Crazy Horse will take you up river 16 miles and you can do an over night trip back down. It’s amazing! And awesome fishing!!
You just never know John how things will turn out. In this case it was a blessing to go to this creek. It was absolutely tremendous. Thanks for sharing my friend.
Great turn of events and God smiled down at you brother. Gorgeous river and creeks loaded with smallies. Thanks so much for taking us along John. Many blessings
Wow, John, sorry about the logistics being so hard. IT's hard to include mother nature into your schedule. She's all over the place. The cost of motels, even inexpensive ones is significant as it food and gas. That tent is a good idea, that a singlel burner and a cooler will save you some money but I can tell you like eating at restaurants. I do too. Glad to see there are a couple more in this series. On to the next one.
Well I'm pretty sure I know exactly where your camping at. Its only about 45 mins from my house here in NW AL . That creek you was fishing looked awesome. Really nice bass and I was also thinking it would be a good spot for the choppo. Thanks for putting in effort for this series. I'm enjoying it buddy. 👊👍
Wow, that was an amazing catch! I haven't caught a smallmouth over three pounds since October of last year. Over here in North Middle Tennessee, the creeks I normally go to just haven't had as many big ones in them. There are lots of smallies in the 8-14" range, but I ain't even seen one over two pounds in a while. Great video, such a cool place to fish!
Congratulations on the BIG smallmouth. I AGREE WITH EVERYTHING YOU SAID ABOUT BIG SMALLIES!! Ten pd. Line and sharp big hooks. They have tough mouths, at least the large ones and are SKILLED at throwing a bait. Kudos 👏
Thanks, John! I appreciate watching your adventures! When you can't get out and do it yourself, watching someone else do it is the next best thing....FishOn....jimi
Much better day! Heading down Sunday-Tues to camp on the Hiwassee to hit outflow down and then to calmer smallmouth water below 411, hopefully they will be hitting and the rain stays away! I hate packing up wet tarps and tents! Look forward to see how things pan out on the next one, keep em coming!
I’ve been to Crazy Horse several years back and on our float down the river we got hit by a tornado! Now that was an interesting float to say the least!!!!
WOW just WOW, now that is how you make the best of a bad situation. John that would be an incredible day on any scale sir. Thanks for the walk along . God Bless and GO KATS!!!!!
Ever tried to Texas rig those soft plastics with a 1/32 or 1/16 bullet weight and a bobber stop ? Found it to be more forgiving in river and creek bed rocks . Love the videos
Noticed you stopped at Collins River but it was muddy I live just up the road from it they're absolutely Giant smallmouth in that River is there just hard to catch would recommend trying it again
We've done 5 or 6 canoe trips on the 10 mile at crazy horse. It's crazy busy in peak summer. Can't wait to see what you pull out of there! Will have to fish next time we go.
Cool video! I go to school over at LMU so I fish around in the Powell and clinch when I can. I do a lot of reservoir fishing on Cherokee in my bass boat but I’m big into the river, kayak, and creek fishing. We need to get together sometime and fish/film. It’d be nice to meet some more Christian fisherman.
You should come fish south chickamauga creek tournament this weekend! Super fun las weekend winner won with 9.9lb. I got some monsters from the little mike stretch that we fish.
You think you got to this creek by accident? Nope!God had it all planned, that is amazing creek I could lay down in it, it looks so good, dude you will have to come back to this one, great wading creek & it probably be great kayaking! But man what a small mouth that was great! Enjoying the series!👍🎣
Dude based on you describing the water I bet you were on the Buffalo with crazy horse about the same time I was. Everything else was super flooded but they were unaffected.
A little jealous. Nice, healthy creek. Fish are fat and sassy, have a nice shiny slime on them. Protect your waterways. Healthy creeks and rivers are rare here in N-central Ohio. Thanks for sharing, Mr. D.
Hey! We were at the Duck River in Columbia near the dam yesterday, right where you are in this video. I was taking pictures with my new camera and happened to walk down the boat ramp and saw someone on a kayak fishing around 6-7 pm. Was that you? We live in Columbia.
Just for reference spread your hand out and measure from tip of thumb to tip of little finger, for me that’s 9 inches, so you have a quick reference on the video 🎣
I love your videos, thanks for posting. I just moved to Maryville, TN. from Fl., any suggestions on good creeks or rivers to fish in the area? Mostly kayak but would like to try wade fishing.
That creek was really nice ! As we know, GOD can put us where HE wants us, at just the right time ! I don't know your whole list of rivers, but I hope you get back to the one's you had to pass. Always be safe. Pap Blevins
Still 🤞 hoping we can link up sometime! Loved the video not everything in life comes easy sometimes we gotta take the strugglebus to work lol 😂 it’s all good maybe I can show you around my area sometime keep up the great work & have a good one bud!
Truly, truly, truly would like you to say what river/creek you are fishing. You don't have to list the put-in or take-out points but some general info would be greatly appreciated. I live in East TN and would like to Kayak some rivers/creek, but would like some better information for someone who knows. BTW, telling us will not cause those areas to crowd up. Usually any crowding is around the put in and 200 yards away is a whole new world. There are not that many people who like to do this kind of fishing to make the areas you would mentioned be crowded. P.S. I did figure out it was the Buffalo river.
Remember, the GoPro doesn't have a polarized lens like your sunglasses so we can't see the fish under the water like you can. Wonderful adventures tho!!
Right where Richland Creek (fish it) hits the Elk River (fish it) = the the bomb! Go when it’s Satan’s doorstep hot, but the water level is still a good kayakable level! You will haul out those smallies all day long!
First I love your videos, I have only gotten thru the first 2 minutes and have decided you are not a good "Boy Scout"! You were not "Prepared"!!! OK, that being said, I am off to watching the rest of your video.
Yes, John, we all experience trials of different levels. sometimes inconvenient, sometimes painful. There are always people to minister to even in our deepest pain. God is good all the time, and all the time God is good. Romans 12:1-2 New King James Version Living Sacrifices to God 12 I beseech[a] you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your [b]reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
HECK of a fight on that Smallie around the 16 min. mark!!
That smalley was huge great job. They makes up for the rough first day you had.
Now thats what I call creek fishing adventures! Good fishes from small streams are the best!
The Buffalo River is awesome! Crazy Horse will take you up river 16 miles and you can do an over night trip back down. It’s amazing! And awesome fishing!!
Great example of prime creek fishing. Awesome video!
Those were some really nice smallmouth and largemouth in that creek you were wading 👍
You can mark your rod on the back sidewith a paint pen in 1/2" inch increments to measure your catch . Able to check sizes very quickly.
You just never know John how things will turn out. In this case it was a blessing to go to this creek. It was absolutely tremendous. Thanks for sharing my friend.

john the good lord sometimes leads to the place he wants to be this creek is just the place for you a great beliver
Oh my goodness John, I think this is one of my all time favorites. And that huge smallie🐟🎣🐟🎣
You can send some of that extra water our way, we dry up here. That HMG rod is my favorite for doing what you were doing. Top-notch video man!
That was a very nice small mouth and a beautiful creek thaks for the video
Such a great smallmouth John!! Way to turn a bad day around and catch some fish. Good job man.
You were right down the road! Great fishing!

Dude that's my favorite tackle shop that's awsome to see it in your video.
Day one was certainly an adventure. Glad day two turned out better, even with all of the driving. Can’t wait for the Day 3 video.
Really enjoyed it. Beautiful fish. Someone mentioned a beach trip....
Nice fishing 🎣 there Bro. John !! God Bless U 🙌 🙌 😊
solid content and more content lined up - good to explore and check out new spots always #tight lines
If at first you don't succeed, try ,try ,try and try again. Definitely the best choice you had. Nice smallie!
Wow, that was an amazing catch! I haven't caught a smallmouth over three pounds since October of last year. Great video, such a cool place to fish!
I'm in Morgan Co. Live about 5 miles from Lilly Bluff.
But yeah. What you said about nothing much over 14 inches.
Kudos 👏

Ok, after the 2 minute mark you video was awesome, looking forward to part 3.
That's a great verse after your day!
That smallie was sweet! And man those largemouth have such vibrant colors!
Congratulations on the big smallie!Very nice fish.
I’ve been to Crazy Horse several years back and on our float down the river we got hit by a tornado! Now that was an interesting float to say the least!!!!
This was such a better day for you! Lol nice smallie!!
I reckon that first river you tried was the Powell? I figured if you were near Cumberland Gap. I’d like to fish the Powell
WOW just WOW, now that is how you make the best of a bad situation. John that would be an incredible day on any scale sir. Thanks for the walk along . God Bless and GO KATS!!!!!
Funny how things don't always work out as we had planned, but what happens after more than makes up for it.
Ever tried to Texas rig those soft plastics with a 1/32 or 1/16 bullet weight and a bobber stop ? Found it to be more forgiving in river and creek bed rocks . Love the videos
sounds like it would work
Noticed you stopped at Collins River but it was muddy I live just up the road from it they're absolutely Giant smallmouth in that River is there just hard to catch would recommend trying it again
Well done John 👏 👍. Stay safe and have a Blessed Day!!!
Im glad today was better that big smallie was worth it
We've done 5 or 6 canoe trips on the 10 mile at crazy horse. It's crazy busy in peak summer. Can't wait to see what you pull out of there! Will have to fish next time we go.
it turned out to be an awesome day, that video comes out tomorrow

Hanging in the RBI’s what good anglers do. Great job!
Hanging in there is what good anglers do. Great job!
Beautiful river and area.
Man what a time your having. Wish I was right there with ya. and the smallmouth was a beast. Keep fishing and posting and we will keep watching.
What a nice smallie!

The ultimate fishing trip is planned but Mother Nature doesn't cooperate. Nice to see you could go to an alternate plan and do so well.
There is some nice creeks in Tennessee you are lucky to be able to go to those places 🙏
You got that right!
Great video nice fish 🐟
What a day
Awesome small mouth! Seems the other waters was muddy for a good reason after all lol.
Dude based on you describing the water I bet you were on the Buffalo with crazy horse about the same time I was. Everything else was super flooded but they were unaffected.
Awesome video with some really nice fish.
Nice day! Looking forward to tomorrow!
You peddle, God steers! Glad you had a great day after all!
Dude u never stop , hell yeah 💪
Definitely worth missing the other rivers for this creek. I'm thinking tournament creek for you to kayak down
A little jealous. Nice, healthy creek. Fish are fat and sassy, have a nice shiny slime on them.
Protect your waterways. Healthy creeks and rivers are rare here in N-central Ohio.

@ 10:00
What is it making those clicking sounds? I heard that back in the early summer here and never figured it out. Frogs? Insects?
Never ever give up, way to go....
Hey! We were at the Duck River in Columbia near the dam yesterday, right where you are in this video. I was taking pictures with my new camera and happened to walk down the boat ramp and saw someone on a kayak fishing around 6-7 pm. Was that you? We live in Columbia.
Cool fishing bro!
Amazing creek Jon!!!! Wooooooo weeeeeeeeeee
You smashed them those are probably the best videos the unplanned one's 👍
That would be a place to kayak and camp at that river.
Just for reference spread your hand out and measure from tip of thumb to tip of little finger, for me that’s 9 inches, so you have a quick reference on the video 🎣
Awesome Day two!
I saw you on a TV show. I hope you get one of your own.
Great video. You need to come to Hot Spring NC
What type of lure were you using?
I love your videos, thanks for posting.
I just moved to Maryville, TN. from Fl., any suggestions on good creeks or rivers to fish in the area? Mostly kayak but would like to try wade fishing.
Start with the little river
God's best sometimes comes in on the backside of what was planned. I'm glad that this day was better than the other.
What swimbait you using???
Hey Can you please make a video of you fishing at the beach?🙏
maybe this winter
The water was incredible.
Awesome video man nice catches
Go to Nantahala Gorge
Nice job
Could you tell us the rivers names when you are fishing.
As a Middle Tennessean, where is this hidden gem of a creek?
That creek was really nice ! As we know, GOD can put us where HE wants us, at just the right time ! I don't know your whole list of rivers, but I hope you get back to the one's you had to pass. Always be safe. Pap Blevins
That was a tank!
You should probably try top water may get you some bigger bites
I tried
Have you ever fished Dale Hollow Lake ?
a few times, my pb smallie is from there 4.65
Muddy but flowing water is good for bank fishing but that hard is dangerous to kayak
Hey John, what length / power is your Fenwick rod?
this one is a med light 6-9
@@CreekFishingAdventures thank you! Loving the videos!
Still 🤞 hoping we can link up sometime! Loved the video not everything in life comes easy sometimes we gotta take the strugglebus to work lol 😂 it’s all good maybe I can show you around my area sometime keep up the great work & have a good one bud!
Is the third River the duck?
God walked you to where you needed to be.. he will take care of the money.. just keep fishing and living for him

Clinch river
Day two here we go.....hope it goes better to Day one. Catch um up!!
John stuff happens
Don’t put the Duck River on your hop. It’s generally a bust. The Elk is better.
Right where Richland Creek (fish it) hits the Elk River (fish it) = the the bomb! Go when it’s Satan’s doorstep hot, but the water level is still a good kayakable level! You will haul out those smallies all day long!
And at that time of year, they LOVE white!!!
Instead of getting a hotel, get you a tent and camp out where you go fishing. I've done it all my life.
Forget about the kayaking and just fish
First I love your videos, I have only gotten thru the first 2 minutes and have decided you are not a good "Boy Scout"! You were not "Prepared"!!! OK, that being said, I am off to watching the rest of your video.
