You can mark your rod on the back sidewith a paint pen in 1/2" inch increments to measure your catch . Able to check sizes very quickly.

Wow, John, sorry about the logistics being so hard. IT's hard to include mother nature into your schedule. She's all over the place. The cost of motels, even inexpensive ones is significant as it food and gas. That tent is a good idea, that a singlel burner and a cooler will save you some money but I can tell you like eating at restaurants. I do too. Glad to see there are a couple more in this series. On to the next one.

Wow, that was an amazing catch! I haven't caught a smallmouth over three pounds since October of last year. Over here in North Middle Tennessee, the creeks I normally go to just haven't had as many big ones in them. There are lots of smallies in the 8-14" range, but I ain't even seen one over two pounds in a while.
Great video, such a cool place to fish!

Cool video! I go to school over at LMU so I fish around in the Powell and clinch when I can. I do a lot of reservoir fishing on Cherokee in my bass boat but I’m big into the river, kayak, and creek fishing. We need to get together sometime and fish/film. It’d be nice to meet some more Christian fisherman.

Truly, truly, truly would like you to say what river/creek you are fishing. You don't have to list the put-in or take-out points but some general info would be greatly appreciated. I live in East TN and would like to Kayak some rivers/creek, but would like some better information for someone who knows. BTW, telling us will not cause those areas to crowd up. Usually any crowding is around the put in and 200 yards away is a whole new world. There are not that many people who like to do this kind of fishing to make the areas you would mentioned be crowded.
P.S. I did figure out it was the Buffalo river.

Yes, John, we all experience trials of different levels. sometimes inconvenient, sometimes painful. There are always people to minister to even in our deepest pain. God is good all the time, and all the time God is good.
Romans 12:1-2 New King James Version
    Living Sacrifices to God
12 I beseech[a] you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your [b]reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
