A spitting image of my older, 08', 6-speed S5. Although I think RS5s look much better in darker tone colors. I saw a dark blue one on the road and it looked amazing. Mine is a lighter blue, Sprint Blue to be specific and it matches the vibe and age of the car. Planning to keep her forever if i can.
I’ve got one of these now with a stage 1ish remap , eventuri air box and gearbox remap as well now 535bhp and 812nm , it’s a brutal weapon but also a daytime drive.

I'm surprised Audi didn't put more power into the current 450HP engine inside RS5/RS4 models. Especially since their competition raised the bar significantly. New M4 has around 500 HP while the M4 Competition gives you even more than that. We've seen the Carwow drag race between the M4 competition, RS5 and Merc C63 AMG. BMW was clobbering them left and right. RS5 has to be 520-540 HP machine in 2021. The market demands it.. Oh, I almost forgot about the Alfa Romeo Giulia QV that came out 4 years ago with a beautiful Ferrari tuned 2.9. V6 engine with 510 HP. And that was almost 5 years ago. Now there's a GTA model coming out with 600 HP. That beast will eat the Germans for breakfast. I can't wait to see some comparison tests.
'Cuz it's not quick enough.. it should be neer the rs6/rs7 performance. It's barely as quick as a merc class A 45s hatch.. so the underrate is comprehensible.
That’s why I’m about to buy one. Live in New England, want a sports car, but don’t want a summer and a winter car. Will work great in winter, also practical for any kind of daily use. I think it’s the most perfect car for what I need. Getting it used at a decent price
Dude, he‘s the journalist and can better tell what those cars are like. I‘d prefer both cars over an RS5. The AMG is an V8 so no chance for M4 and That Audi. C63 is the best out of those by far

Audi has always been clinical which is not to everyone's taste but as an an all weather car it's a solid choice. He made plenty of good points about the car. I thought an honest review, I have driven the car its good but not outstanding.
A beautiful looking car, Audi is on its game in looks inside and out... just wish they could come up with the next big leap in quattro technology and move the engine back behind the front suspension so they can make front-mid engined cars like merc AMG GTR’s etc.
One feature I always wondered when new cars get it are rear mirrors connected to your saved seat position, so you do not always have to adjust them yourself 🤔
10:55 Matt, my Parents have a VW Touran and also with a Panorama Roof and the same windshield. Trust me, you want to have it there, or else flys, dirt and a lot of wind noise comes in. Of course, every year/generation they have to improve something like weight, steering and etc. You can't be building something new that is the same or worse than the previous generation... All in all, that old heavy V8 handles really well. Also, you loose that screaming and high revving V8. Which is intoxicating every time you drive :P
Acciel Villiers likewise, and the shape of the old v8 is far better. I have a 2015 suzuka grey. Wouldnt change it for this one! Speed isnt everything as it is largely unusable ona public road. We are lucky enough to have an R8. Whilst an event to take out, you cant really use it without being in licence loosing territory

The RS5 is not a Lotus with a V6 engine it is a super coupe which makes it firmly a GT car. The V8 in the RS5 sounded and felt wonderful to drive and I will never get a V6 RS5.

I have an 2017 Audi A4. At 1:33, we se The RS5 in manual mode S1, but instead of saying "Dynamic" (Audi's sport mode) under, it says RS2. What is RS2? Edit: Oh, on the RS models, you get extra modes called RS1 and RS2 where you can customize things like the way you prefer. Normally, the modes are: comfort, auto, dynamic, and individual. RS1/RS2 replace individual.
I have owned the 08' B8 S5 for about 3 years now, 6-speed manual NA V8. It's a dream to drive, and it's in a majestic sprint blue paint, nothing like it on the road these days. Dying breed. Although I do love the added arches on the RS5's styling wise. I'm thinking I will try to keep it and garage queen it one of these days, maybe it will be worth more in the next 10 years. Not many manuals with V8s around anymore, especially luxury models like the S5/RS5.

I enjoy every single moment of it, Ive been hit by other drivers TWICE (even tho im a bright blue car, how could you not see me?!) but the car is still as strong and beautiful as ever after being fixed by very prestigious body shop, really is a testament to how well its built. Its funny you mention that, a lot of people don't understand that you have to keep the juices of your car flowing otherwise things will start to break down.

@SOUL SEEKER the 8V A3 and C7 A6 got it right, you could press a button and get rid of the screen altogether and with a head up you didn't need it for navigation either. The TT got it right the best - no screen at all.

The old v8 had no torque and was way heavier than this v6 so if they kept it the car wouldent handle well at all just like the old rs5.

0:49 just to clarify the reason it's called a "hot v" is not that the turbos are located in between the cylinder heads (though they are certainly hot), but really because the exhaust valves, ie the hot side of each cylinder head respectively, face inwards towards the center

Still not a fan of how the screen is integrated. It just looks like an afterthought.
Only the new bimmers seem to have got this right. Shame about the front of those though.
That screen! That's truly dreadful. It's like they'd finished the cabin and decided to chuck a big telly in there afterwards.
@SOUL SEEKER the 8V A3 and C7 A6 got it right, you could press a button and get rid of the screen altogether and with a head up you didn't need it for navigation either. The TT got it right the best - no screen at all.
I love this channel and Matt just because no one else knows how to review cars. Your channel makes me 😊. I just had surgery this Sunday but not I'm here in my room still in the recovery stage trying to watch Carwow videos👍. Keep it up
