Absolutely!! There’s ALWAYS going to be those people/comments/articles/videos that are going to make us doubt ourselves. The internet is filled with negativity. I never want to ONLY be positive about every single thing, and I never want to make it seem like starting a business is easy (it’s actually the hardest thing I’ve ever done) But I also don’t like when people make absolute statements or try to discourage people from even trying. There’s a difference between someone starting a business who has a plan vs someone who jumps in with no knowledge. Everyone is different and if you take the steps you need to take in order to be successful, you are giving yourself better odds of actually becoming successful! It’s all about the foundation, consistency, determination and overcoming obstacles! ❤️
I just want to jump in and say congratulations to you Tamera Church for not allowing ppl to steal your dream business or even your hobby, from you before starting. And I also want to add to Erica....I appreciate the words of encouragement and the advice you gave in this video and on her post. You are truly something special.

You speak to me girl! I’ve done different business ventures throughout my life. Even as a 5 year old trying to sell water color paints, which nobody bought lol. The candle making process I got interested on Pinterest and I am loving the learning process. I listen and watch you and Wades videos all the time now. I’m excited to be learning and am in the testing faze atm 🤯🤣
It was actually because of the last recession that I started my fragrance/incense business. So you're correct 💯. People are still buying these items. And just like fragrance, there are unlimited fragrance choices when it comes to candles.

Thank you, Erica. Things are a little better for me, but still in the woods (metaphorically). I've been hit with a rough fork between the business and family time with my son. I've been asked about my candles and had to take a step back to focus on my family. I feel a little lost right now with everything going on. We're keeping the house and rooming together for now to give an update. Anyway.. the questions you state in this have been the questions on my mind through learning this experience; about how to overcome the struggles and being able to keep the ship afloat in bad weather. I've been thinking lately and think that I would like to try to keep going. At least for now.
I think taking it one day at a time right now is the best thing to do! I think you should totally keep trying with your business, but just know that you are welcome to take things slower. There is no right or wrong with the growth of your business ❤️

I recommend pirate ship! They have saved me so much money and make it so easy to ship. I have a shipping playlist on my channel as well as a shipping course if you need a step by step guide to choosing boxes, pricing and packaging! ❤️
Erica why are you using soy blend why not just soy wax. There are so many articles about that how paraffin wax is bad to you. So I'm scared that people won't buy my soy blend. Nowadays they want only natural products. Also I'm sacred if i use soy blend I'm doing any bad thing to the society. Could anyone please help me to clarify this
If you don't know taxes or just aren't that organized than you should start up a business especially when you have a lazy tax person that does your normal W2. Yup pretty much just wasted 10,000 dollars trying to start up a Wax Co...tax lady says I'm wasting my time in getting LLC...only answers the phone 1 day a week not in tax season...and even than I have to call 2-3 times before she calls me back And the kicker is...she's my Sister's best friend...been doing our family's taxes for over 25 years....and I had to learn the expensive way And I could go on forever but instead I just tossed everything in the trash.

Friends think I'm a looser. Just cant do anything around here with my name...plus incant afford it, the wax co was.my last ditch effort...even had a surf wax line I was working on I know I have a move coming up and I'll just start up when I'm out of here so I can have a fresh slate. People might call this a failure...I call it experience Plus I can still keep my whole sale accounts...they all know what's up

I also learn how to blow glass so I can make my own vessels...but I rather spend my free time playing scratch off lotto tickets
Not all tax people are up to date and knowledgeable. Using a LLC gives you tax benefits that a dba doesn't allow.
