Some notable draft eligible skaters in recent years for Team Canada include: Owen Allard, Macklin Celebrini, Connor Bedard, Shane Wright, Jamie Drysdale, Quinton Byfield, Dawson Mercer, Alexis Lafreniere, Brett Leason, Julien Gauthier, and Lawson Crouse. You guys hit the nail right on the head in regards to talking about it being a rarity that multiple undrafted skaters making the roster for team Canada. The last times that it happened were in 2020 with Drysdale, Byfield, Lafreniere, Mercer, and Perfetti being the last cut. Before that, I could only think of 2014 with Ekblad, Reinhart, and McDavid.
A few things: - Nadeau isn't "ripping up the AHL". He's on pace for 36 points. Just playing pro hockey might land him a spot on the team though. - Andrew Cristall might be the best offensive junior player in Canada right now. His pts / game is by far the best in the CHL and he almost made the Capitals. Why when they failed to score goals last year would they make the same mistake this year and leave off one of their most talented offensive players? - Likewise with Martone, McKenna, and Misa. Why would two of these guys be left off? These guys are all dominating the CHL, even more so than any of the other prospective players, including the returnees. - Yager seems overrated to me. Putting up so so numbers this year. Why do returning players automatically get a spot on the team when other players are clearly outperforming them? Here's how the forward group should look: McKenna - Ritchie - Wood Cristall - Catton - Nadeau Rehkopf - Misa - Martone Cowan - Yager - Luchenko Michael Hage also ripping up the NCAA as an 18 year old. I would throw him or Cataford in as an extra.
Missing = • Luke Misa = (25 Points in 13 Games from October 25th to November 24th) • Beckett Sennecke = 1.67 P/GP (From October 14th to November 24th) My Lines = Line 1 = McKenna-Catton-M. Misa Line 2 = Rehkopf-L. Misa-Martone Line 3 = Yager-Ritchie-Sennecke Line 4 = Cowan-Luchenko-Barkey.

Looking forward to see how Sennecke does. (As a ducks fan)
Nice vid, guys. Any chance you'll do USA as well?
Yes, Team USA is up next!
@@TheHockeyWriters Thanks and keep up the good work!
Is Landon Dupont too young for the team?
Celebrini in the mix for the calder, no chance he goes to world juniors
