- The current state of the Irish Town bend hillside restoration and stabilization project as of February 2, 2024. The Cleveland Metroparks are building a large park here, allowing another spot of access to the Cuyahoga River for Clevelanders to enjoy. This is definitely not a small scall project when it comes to how much land has to be moved and stabilized.
The stabilization project covers over 23 acres and will cost approximately 60 million dollars. It is expected to take up to 24 months to complete and will allow the park that will one day sit here to be built.
Once completed this park will provide the missing link between the Cuyahoga Valley National Park to Lake Erie. Connecting our amazing trail system in Cuyahoga county.
