Creative Pet Keeping hi their.mu daughter just got a baby bunny.i want to make her own cage as well.i wanted to know what size was the grid box you used.i saw 4-6-12 I don’t want a big one the bunny is a baby.for now just something kinda like yours maybe Length 3 with 2 and if I can I want to use the rest to make a 2 story.how many cubes grid kit would you recommend?
i honestly just got my rabbit two weeks ago. its a new kind of experience as ive had many animals and ive noticed the people who own a rabbit always have a different kind of love for them. its a really good kind more attentive and they go all out. Im a 37 year old guy in a small apartment so thought this would work and its been the absolute best stress relief ever and an amazing friend ive already blown all my money on him lol
Thanks. I figured since she is not ready to be a house bunny just yet she would benefit from more space. I sort of have a GoneToTheSnowDogs vibe going on with the theme hehe
I agree! It needs some work, I believe the minimum for a healthy rabbit is 2x5. I have my rabbit in one now, as that was the largest space I had. When its set up well she has space to run and binky, unlike her old home!
Ohhh, I thought the bunny was a perfectly healthy rabbit and was a bit mad no one realized it was way to small for a healthy rabbit. But then I realized the bunny is disabled
Yes, this is so true. But I hope she eventually makes it way bigger. A bunny I used to have (she died a few years ago, but lived to be 11) was half blind and mostly deaf, but was still able to be in a b larger playpen (she was originally free roam). There was about 10 by 6 feet of floor space.
This is such a cute diy setup! Is it ok that she doesn’t have a hide to get away from the cats if she doesn’t want to have contact with them? I know they are pray animals and can stress easily, however it does seem like you know what you’re doing, just curious about your thought! Thanks 😁👍
Last time I tried making her a hiding spot my cat kept trying to fit inside and she would get really annoyed at him. Generally, I think they are a good idea though.
We use these exact same grids and we used those bonus shelf grids for a door panel. We have the clips for dog chains etc to clip the extra part to the panel beside it. Granted you don't need the extra bit on those panels for that but it gives those panels a function
Hi creative pet keeping, I am lanie! I just wanted to say that this is a great video and I’ve watched it like 20 times😂😍! This is a good sized cage as long as u give her some outside time everyday (which I’m sure u do)! This is a great tutorial and I will gladly share this with my friends who have rabbits!
Hi! I love all of your videos. I was wondering if you have any tips on having a full house with pets. Dog+cat+bunny How do they get along? And how do you introduce a new pet?
I have a big rex bunny boy, who I converted two dog crates for him. He loves it! The smaller bunny that I have, I am converting another dog crate for her, since she needs more room. She's a real piggy..lol.
Thank you so much i am looking to buy a rabbit and couldn’t afford a 100 dollar cage that was low quality and to small, now i can afford the supplies to make this and my bunny will be much happier
I have a yoga mat...are they pretty much waterproof for a bunny? I also have a couple of fleece blankets, too. I will try that as a bottom for my girl bunny. :)
I use a litter box pan just like that for my rabbit I get them from the Dollar Tree they're only a buck apiece so I just pick up like 8 a month and I throw them away instead of cleaning them out and everything but I use a cage kind of like her Hospital cage that you had some people say oh that's not Humane but my rabbit is free-range and the door is never shut she just goes in there and lays down when she wants to be by herself
sorry to criticise, but throwing out that many litter trays that frequently is really producing excessive waste. couldn't you reduce that by putting newspaper in beforehand and throwing that away to make cleaning easier, and donate the ones you do get rid of to an animal shelter or something?
I use to have to bunnie one i have one when I got the first one it was unexpected so we bought a huge storage box and put her near my bed I let her walk around my room a little when I bunny proofed it I woke up 5 times with her in my bed about to fall asleep on me it was so cute how much she trusted me 💕 ( still can’t figure out how she jumped on my bed it high lol )
Could we use something other than a yoga mat and fleece? Our mini rex will dig and chew on the blanket then to foam mat! I want to expand our bunny area because my kids and I are seriously looking into adopting a second rabbit!
Its a great cage! A little small but its still a nice looking cage. I like the blanket and all the wood toys. Be careful that your bunny doesn't snowflake. Edit: My bunny is bestfriends with my cats. The cats are always climbing into the bunny pen and they are always playing!
I absolutely love this video!! I just have a few questions: 1. What size are those grids 2. Where did you get the fleece because I absolutely lovvvveee it it’s such a cute pattern! 3. What kind of rabbit is Mochy?
Can you use a plastic storage bin, like with a lid then cut the top part of the lid off and replace it with mesh? I’ve seen it before, wanted to see if it was safe.
How do you remove the blanket to clean it? Is it a big task where you have to lift the entire cage? I've got two new flemish giants and I'm trying to build them something similar.
Bunnys should always have another bunny-friend. I have 3 bunnies. My "cage" is 3x4,5 meters and during the day, they can use about 150qm of our garden.
Mochi did not do well with other bunnies and the fact that she had to go to the vet twice week every week for her health issues already made her life stressful. Bonding with a strange rabbit would be unnecessary added stress in her particular situation.
What type of rabbit do you have? I also have a rabbit and they seem so, so similar. I was told that she was a lion head but I feel like she is also mixed just because she doesn’t have the full mane. She is 8months old. Canela(my rabbit) has just a little bit more hair out grown around her neck, around the tail & back leg area just like Mochi does. She also has the same colors just vice versa. Canela has more white and the spots are a brown color with dark brown eyes.
Definitely! Like she already responded, that video is a good example of what a C&C Cage would look like for guinea pigs. Here's another video talking about how to make one: ua-cam.com/video/ZYF3CUNVS7g/v-deo.html
Just let it roam free at home or at least buy a dog x pen that is large enough for your rabbit and the size at least 4 feet tall so your rabbit can’t jump out, hope this helped :)
I couldn't afford a big cage so a friend had a med size dog kennel and I turned that into her home and for play pen is dog plastic fencing.she don't chew or try to hope hope out. She's so lye back.
Do you want to know how I litter trained my bunny? Check out my litter training tutorial: ua-cam.com/video/IyMKttwZ1e0/v-deo.html

Creative Pet Keeping how do you take your bunny out the cage is there a door??
Creative Pet Keeping hey what kind of rabbit was she?
Quick question, why did you change her litter box? The one before had a grill on top which kept her from standing in her own pee.
Great idea. But, my rabbit would eat the fleece blanket and then the floor padding underneath, and then the carpet.....hes a little bugger.
Does he or she have chew toys
You should watch one of 101 rabbits videos she explains on how to stop the issue
Mine too.She just likes to chew what i do not want her to chew. She would pull that fleece so fast that the littler box would fly.
I would recommend 101 rabbits. My bunny chews a bunch in this one are, so I just moved her litter box there, and had no problems.
Get him toys, maybe he’s bored
I’ve been following along with Mochi, I’m glad she’s doing better.
“I got a paper cut and I’m 28” lol!
Her sniffles are back but she is on the right path for recovery luckily

Thanks. I figured since she is not ready to be a house bunny just yet she would benefit from more space. I sort of have a GoneToTheSnowDogs vibe going on with the theme hehe
3:09, Bannana is so adorable!
I love when I find someone that actually knows about rabbits!!!!!!!! 💜
Mochi looks like she loved the new home! She’s so cute I’m glad she’s doing better.❤️❤️
Yay! Glad Mochi is healing nicely and has a cute new "house" 😊🐇💝
This is a nice cage for a disabled rabbit, definitely not big enough for a healthy rabbit... also, I think you should add a hidey house
I agree! It needs some work, I believe the minimum for a healthy rabbit is 2x5. I have my rabbit in one now, as that was the largest space I had. When its set up well she has space to run and binky, unlike her old home!

My bunnys name is Mochi too! He is my pride and joy!
I have litterly wached this 15,000 times.
You need to have a hidee house for her!
She would always sleep outside of one
I’m so happy your bunny is better xx

Creative Pet Keeping but they need them I loved the vid but the do need them
Creative Pet Keeping how did you introduce your cat and your bunny? i am looking to adopt a bunny but i also have a ct
Corrin Stines You need 2 bunnys
You dont need 2 bunnys it's all up to the owner not everyone else as long as you spend enough time with them they will be happy and healthy.
i hope she recovered well! love the cage! xx
This is so adorable! You’ve done a great job with it. Love the snowflake blanket.
I almost didn't recognize that its you.. nice thumbnail!
Thanks, testing out a new logo as our official one. Still playing around with it yet.
I love the way u used the bowl
Poor sweet angel 💜 love how much you love these babies ❤

Your video helps me to learn about I’m fixing to get a bunny in a few years
Awww I hope she is doing well
For the "bonus shelves" I just used tweezers or a plier to pull off the little shelf hooks on them
Good idea!

This is really smart. I will try it. Also, I love how you clearly thought through the toy placements so she won't get hurt that's awesome.
Such a cute theme ❄
Omg I’m so glad you posted this video I hate how small my rabbits cage is when I’m gone she doesn’t get to run as much thank you!
that is the CUTEST full size rabbit i have ever seen !! i own a wild rabbit and shes just brown
No kidding, my rabbit Mocha, just had his eye removed due to a cancerous tumor 😢.
I hope your bun recovers and does well!
Rec Childers how much did it cost
I’m glad mochi is doing better!

Fun fact..at my old house I used to have a Hello Kitty bathroom O_O
Creative Pet Keeping haha how masculine
Very creative. This cage area is looking good!
Aww bless her!!!
The space is a little small but most importantly...
TRUSH THAT WATER BOTTLE!
With the leftover CNC grid cut one in half and make a hay rack
You need to give The bunny a hidie house!

I absolutely love this video!! I just have a few questions:
1. What size are those grids
2. Where did you get the fleece because I absolutely lovvvveee it it’s such a cute pattern!
3. What kind of rabbit is Mochy?
Thank you this is so helpful!
If I can get those at Walmart I might try this.
Oh Mochy

No
Looks great, but you neeeeeed a hide house. It’s very very important
She had one in the next cage
m really sry for her...i hope she will get well soon
My bunny would destroy that cage in 5 seconds.
Do not use a bottle! Use a Bowl instead with water, and make it bigger
How do you remove the blanket to clean it? Is it a big task where you have to lift the entire cage? I've got two new flemish giants and I'm trying to build them something similar.
I used to lift the whole thing to change the blanket..it was very quick and my bunny would be free roaming while I do that ^_^
Bunnys should always have another bunny-friend.
I have 3 bunnies. My "cage" is 3x4,5 meters and during the day, they can use about 150qm of our garden.
Paddy Tutorials not true. Mine does not get along with other rabbits at all. We have tried bonding multiple times but she never comes around.
Mochi did not do well with other bunnies and the fact that she had to go to the vet twice week every week for her health issues already made her life stressful. Bonding with a strange rabbit would be unnecessary added stress in her particular situation.
You could have got storage grid cubes no hate
Nice DIY vid. I see your in the FishFam too (i'm in June). Just subbed. Thanks for sharing.
great enclousere but i think you can expand it

She was a Netherland dwarf mix and was quite tiny for her age
Where did you find all the toys? I like the heart.
Hi! My bunny is almost 11 should I get her a lower litter pan as well she seem to have a harder time getting in it?
good idia
Wow, l love the idea!💘l would just like you to tell me where you got those wire storage cubes and how much they cost?
Metal rings/closures would be better to secure the pieces… rabbits could easily chew the plastic zip ties off.
Good idea! Mine never noticed them, but a great tip for others.
You think this would work for a guinea pig? I would absolutely love to give mine more space to roam
Yup..I actually built a guinea pig fortress years ago: ua-cam.com/video/X5qVJFx3WIA/v-deo.html
Definitely! Like she already responded, that video is a good example of what a C&C Cage would look like for guinea pigs. Here's another video talking about how to make one: ua-cam.com/video/ZYF3CUNVS7g/v-deo.html
Karla Sanchez I used these for my guinea pigs
Thank you for replying @creativepetkeeping im gonna give the video a watch and hopefully this weekend build my guinea pig a new bigger cage!
Francis Rodriguez thank you!
Yes first one
Can you make a video on how you get your cats to get along with your bunny
I would recommend just putting the hay in the litter box. Their hay should never be restricted
I have a rabbit but we don't have a cage so how do I build a cage and shes an easter bunny
Just let it roam free at home or at least buy a dog x pen that is large enough for your rabbit and the size at least 4 feet tall so your rabbit can’t jump out, hope this helped :)
Do you still have her/him?
I couldn't afford a big cage so a friend had a med size dog kennel and I turned that into her home and for play pen is dog plastic fencing.she don't chew or try to hope hope out. She's so lye back.
What do you put in your litter box?
What do you use for bedding in litter box?
4JC M line the box with newspaper. use PARER OR WOOD based litter. (shredded newspaper works well) NOT CAT LITTER. top with lots of hay
I’m afraid that if I make the cage, my rabbits will lean on it and then it will fall over. Has that happened before and if it has, how do you fix it?
