Wast Water or Wastwater is a lake located in Wasdale, a valley in the western part of the Lake District National Park, England. The lake is almost 3 miles long and more than one-third mile wide. It is a glacial lake, formed in a glacially 'over-deepened' valley. It is the deepest lake in England at 258 feet.

You forget how nice the Lake District is in England it’s been 30 years since I’ve been there when I was stationed in Catterick. The mountains are a bit bigger here in Canada but truly lacking nice roads thru them. Took the Triumph out yesterday, got pulled over for speeding by a very nice peace officer 👮‍♀️ clocked me doing 114 kmh in an 80 kmh zone 🤷‍♂️😳😳 he let me off with a warning to ride smartly and glad I wasn’t on a Harley or it would have been a ticket 😂😂😂

I have never been to Wastwater but remember so well the route to doing both the Hardknott and Wrynose, once was enough !! the camper vans take up so much parking room it spoils the ambience of the place, the view over to the screes is breathtaking, they could do with a Langdons Grill along here !! will get this ride in this year, probably not on a Bank Holiday. How many miles round trip was it ?

Yes agree the passes are mad. This route was nice mix of roads. Was 50 mile loop from Broughton so add from you to Broughton 👍
