Glad you did this video. I used mine on my all mechanical non ecu 1985 280ce and found the readings to wander quite a bit so dont know if I did a good job. MoT on Wednesday so I will get a more.accurate reading. Got my CO down to 1.5% but when I disconnected the sampling pipe from the exhaust, the readings did not return to 2% but stayed below 2% which made me.feel that my CO reading was higher than 1.5%. Not sure if the product is worth buying. I'll find out on Wednesday.
Just got back from the MOT. The yester said that the reading was 0.01%. That is far too lean. He also said that when a engine is that lean the smell coming from the exhaust will smell rich! It did smell rich. He adjusted it to 1.35%. Spec is 1% to 1.5%. The max for a 1985 Mercedes is 4.5% for MOT purposes. I will be selling my newish Gunsons gastester on ebay and just pay for a garage to do the adjustment.

I realise this video is almost a year old now but I just wanted to point out that the short hose on the back that seems to just link to ports together looked a bit kinked. If gas has to pass through that for whatever reason, that restriction could perhaps cause a misread 🤷?
I couldn’t get the kink out of the additional pipe on that back - the length and path from one end to the other is such that it kinks. I could try cutting it a bit shorter I guess.
