    I mean, Clint basically IS Newt Scamander. My gf calls him the Mr. Rogers of reptiles.

    I really love how natural and organic you are. A lot of UA-camrs script videos and it’s way too rigid in my opinion. I love how genuine you are! It’s much easier to follow along this way because you’re actually narrating what you’re doing rather than trying to fit the video to a pre-written script. I can’t wait to see what else you come up with in the future!!! 🥰

    Floral tape has some really cool properties that allow it to be used for so many things. This was a neat project and it looks reasonably easy to do. This guy would also look cool in a potted plant, maybe next to a reptile enclosure.

    I would recommend having the camera about 6 inches higher minnimum then angled downward more so it’s more the view that I’m sitting across from you looking down at your hands.
    Model painters camera angle would probably work great too!
    Good luck with the channel!

    Wow; totally not what I expected to be watching just now (if ever), but I'm glad I did!
    Totally reminds me of the sorts of things/projects I would dream up as a kid, using whatever I had available to create whatever it was I had in my head, be it something from my own imagination or from a book/movie/etc., with cereal boxes, my grandpa's pipe cleaners, glue and acrylic paints my primary go-to materials.
    Awesome job on the project, and congrats on a very professional-looking video! I've subbed and will definitely be checking out your videos in the future.👍

    Awesome idea!, I think I’ll try and make this with my little brother one day, I didn’t know who Pickett was until I searched him just now and I think you did more than a good job with this diy, I think another cool idea for something similar would be to make baby groot from guardians of the galaxy in the same diy style

    Chalk pastels sticks to floral tape pretty well if you can’t get acrylics to stick, just be sure to seal it with some spray varnish if you’re going to be touching it.

    • @whynotme1016
      @whynotme1016  3 роки тому +1

    My family makes fun of me for the things I save to reuse for projects in the future. But I've been able to do LOTS of projects, especially with my six kids, without having to go buy supplies at a store. And I think that's great!! Love how this came out. Looking forward to seeing more of your projects to come.
    PS: Your adorable baby is giving me baby fever. Eeeeeek. Seven kids isn't too many...right?!?

    Very cute. Looks great. You could try priming with gesso. That might make it easier for the paint to stick to the floral tape maybe? I was thinking of doing a Medusa type costume for a Halloween video I'm working on. I think I can adapt this technique for that. Great video!😊👍

    • @whynotme1016

    It was a really nice DIY, you are really talented and your voice is nice to follow. :)
    For some constructive critique, maybe reconsider the camera position. For me was it a bit confusing to only see your chest area in the background to be honest. (Really don't want to sound creepy or anything)😅😅

    That "thicker wire" @1:07 is solder, and contains lead. "63/37 Rosin-Core Solder" means it has a resin core, but the metal solder on the outside is 63% tin, and 37% lead. You have to be very careful with this stuff, it is poisonous and can be absorbed through the skin. Lead poisoning can be fatal! Please use something like copper wire instead, as it is much safer. If you must use solder (which is really unnecessary unless you're soldering), wear nitrile gloves, dispose of the gloves and wash your hands thoroughly with soap and warm water immediately after use, and do not expose your children to the substance. It is dangerous!

    • @whynotme1016
      @whynotme1016  3 роки тому

      Wow! I knew I was using soldering wire (because it’s what I had) but I didn’t know how dangerous it was. Thank you for letting me know!
