Al I’m doing an egr valve replacement on a Mercedes sprinter 956 engine of doom,I’ve never done one and have u any advice or talk me through how to change it.
Yeah, I had 3 of them, in fairness I improved everyone and they were in better shape when sold. I know 10 years later at least 2 of them are still on the road, a longevity beast!
Al great video mate reminds me when I had my workshop fixing cars from the 70s 80s 90s when we had a lot less electrics going on not a fan of the moden cars
As you appear to have many questionable batteries, could you get TopDon to supply one of their Tornado "intelligent" chargers that are suggested as rejuvenating tired batteries. I think that any results would be of interest to many subscribers, especially if you had a TopDon battery tester to review before/after results of condition.
Here in the states the German cars have a bad reputation, due to shite mechanics that work @ dealers who play parts darts And have no clue,great too see a real Tec @ work👍
Another cracking video there Al. Just out of interest, we've got a Mercedes Sprinter 310 it's a 1999 T reg mwb with a 2.9 5 cylinder in it. Its got absolutely no rust whatsoever, we parked it up in our barn 5 years ago and there was nothing wrong with it we just bought a newer Mercedes van, it had about 8 months mot on it when we parked it. We brought it new and have had it serviced every year without fail. Its got 135k miles on it, I don't know what it would need for an mot and iv no interest in putting it through one. If you want it it's yours?

In my wagon it was fuel heater that was feeding air in the fuel lines. Solution...delete it. 😊

I do love the sound of the 124 and 201 engines. Especially the 2.5l has this cool turbo-like sound... Unbelievably good and reliable motors

Was tempted to chuck one of them 606’s in my 2014 sprinter but pricey just bough a 412 way the old 2.9 lump thinking fitting that only done 90k miles
