Greetings from England. I really enjoyed your wonderful adventure. I lost my father before Christmas, he would have loved this. I hope you manage some more adventures in your wonderful car.
I did the same trip in my similar 3.2 from 84. 250d+ km on the clock and the car never complained once. It brought us to Norway , south of France , Italy and the Swiss Austrian mountains and the UK . The best classic car for these kind of things , Good brakes to... And by the way I live in Belgium to ;-) . Your videos bring back memories .
Thanks Steven! Ours is also an '84 car 😉 it is absolutely perfect for these kind of things. Very comfortable but also extremely capable in the corners. Thanks for watching! Hopefully we will get to all those other trips as well 👍
Beautiful mate, the memories will stay with you forever, just like you said. I used to do the Ramble Rally through Europe with my dad for several years, the atmosphere and company with my dad is something I will never forget. My dad suddenly passed away last December. What I really like about your recap is that you are aware that the whole trip, the company, the views is something very special, especially together with your dad. Lovely video, really good put together
Hi Rick, I completely missed your comment but how nice to hear! I am sorry for your loss. When arriving back home after this trip, I must admit that I had a small breakdown knowing these kind of things won't keep happening forever so we're definetely trying to make the most of it while we can! Thanks again for your kind words and all the best to you!
These 3 episodes were wonderful. The views and mountain passes are spectacular and stunning, even from my monitor. Thanks for sharing this memorable trip with your father.
Thank you Robin for sharing your father and son adventure with that lovely 911 with us. The entire trip has been a blast. Hope you are both well and wishing you all my very best.
It makes me so happy to read comments like yours on these videos. Thank you very much for watching and for the kind words! We are both doing well and are planning our next adventure together 🏁
@@Retroschaft Robin thank you too for your kind response. You can bet that in company with very many enthusiasts I’ll be looking forward to sharing in your new experiences 👌😀
I'm glad you enjoyed it, thank you very much for watching! I need to get my head around editing a monstrous series of going to the Le Mans Classic in the 356 😅
Ah that must be fantastic! I bought an E36 320i early this year (still have to make a video about it) and I'd love to take that car to the Alps too. Have fun!
@@Retroschaft Thanks, nothing like a great road trip 👍 ps my car is a 2007 630i, not the original 70s one..... more a modern classic but a great motor for continental long journeys
Congratulations. Absolutely amazing. I'd love to be able to do something like that with my father. I've done it with Mom and Papito, but not my dad. Absolutely gorgeous Again. Congratulations God bless you both
Hi, thank you so much! Great to see you enjoyed it. You can find a list of moutain passes that we did in chronological order as the pinned comment (by me) under each episode. It will give you a pretty good idea of the route we took.
Hi, wonderful road trip and what a great way of making lasting memories with your father. Have you thought about organising a smiliar road trip for classic car / classic Porsche owners?
Hi Spencer, we have thought about that many times. We actually do organize roadtrips that are a bit smaller but up and till now they have been invite only events with more local friends. Currently we're organizing weekend trips but at some point we would love to get into big roadtrips like this, fully organized by us!
Thank you very much for this 45 minutes of epicness. It was a perfect end of my weekend. I am a Porsche and alp road trips lover pur sang since I am a child. I saw many many vids on YT but this one is definitely in my personal top 5! Good editing, beautiful recording, very sympatic comment and last but not least an insane beautiful 911 G. Are there some modifications you did on it? It seems a bit lower than stock and also the exhaust sounds not 100% original. Is it original a French import? Than it is probably the 231 PS version without Cat that van explain the sound instead the 207 or 217 version with cat . Thxs again! Salut from the frontier NL/ B, Jeroen
Hi Jeroen, it is an original Belgian car, bought by my father some 20 years ago from the first owner I think. The wheels are bigger than stock, which is why it may seem a bit more agressive. The exhaust is indeed a rear cat by Dansk, it's more agressive as well ;) Other than that there are no modifications other than the Carrera decals on the side. The stock 915 gearbox was rebuilt a while back and it's a pleasure to shift with! Anyone who says a G50 is much better just hasn't experienced the joy of working through a proper 915 in my opinion ;) Thank you for watching and for the nice words! I'm trying to get another roadtrip series online but it's a lot of work.
@@Retroschaft Thxs for your quick answer! Yes I enjoy it a lot. Anyone who says a G50 is better than a 915 talks like a parrot and has probably never driven a Porsche 911.
Hi, my apologies I didn't catch your comment. I'd have to ask my father but I know the fronts are the size usually fitted at the rear and the rears are bigger than standard. I don't know the actual sizes, but I'll ask.
Great videos, thank you for sharing with us. Any chance you could give us a list of the passes, it would be nice to google maps them to have a look at the route.
Bedankt!
Marc, Bree B

Hi! Yes I believe this car was originally delivered in Belgium and we might even be the second owners. The car was well known within our friend group and known to be a powerful and reliable 3.2. More than 100.000km later without a rebuild and 265.000km in total, it does appear to be powerful and reliable ;)
