I first watch a video of nick when he was just a kid. He grew up to be an amazing guitar player and musician. And he is demoing guitars for fender! Rock on man
Beautiful. Had to order one. I've been a Tele traditionalist, but Fender's work with Yosemite's and the Greasebucket tech makes these guitars very compelling. One can find these American models at great prices, so why not? Awesome demo. Thank you.
I mean given that the strats with a humbucker at the bridge position are called HSS, shouldn't this tele be called SH instead of HS since the humbucker is at the neck position?
Is it me or does the top of the humbucker have 2 mounting screws while the bottom of it has 1? As a person extremely interested in engineering I usually try to find out why a particular decision was made when it deviates from the norm. 3 mounting screws on a humbucker...........yeah I got nothing. Its just odd to me. Other than that the guitar sounds and looks awesome.
Another review mentioned that when you switch around from pickup to pickup, the volume is even. And the "greasebucket" tone control does the same - darkens the sound while still keeping it the same loudness. Still waiting on mine.. back-ordered for months.
I love the sound and the concept only thing missing is better color choice, yellow? Fender no blonde option for a tele, really... And a gig bag for $1200 guitar?
Yea, I bought a Baja instead, I did play one of these guitars but I wasn't happy with the neck. The sound of the pickups was great but the electronics didn't work so I didn't get to test the tapping feature... Oh well I'm happy I bought the Baja, I think for the money it has a lot to offer, and I did get the butterscotch blond color...
On Instagram I have seen Nick (the guitarist in this vid) try to emulate Derek Trucks playing style which is what he is doing here. Not a song per se but definitely a signature style of Derek Trucks. Check out Midnight In Harlem - Tedeschi Trucks Band (Crossroads Guitar Festival 2010) on UA-cam and you'll see what I mean.

I really like the idea of this series especially the tele with a humbucker in neck. But I can tell that the humbucker is not a Tim Shaw design. It sounds thin and brittle like every humbucker fender ever made except for the Shawbuckers.
I bought a product from them and they sent the wrong product. Well I needed the product for the weekend. I talked to a representative and he assured me that they will overnight on there end. So I overnighted mine and they didn’t send it. It caused me to loose money for sessions. They said something was wrong with the computers but when I contacted corporate my product actually came in the next day. They were suppose to send me a gift certificate and I never received it. SO I WILL NEVER EVER SHOP THERE AGAIN
ernest howard right now fender sell 58 different models of Stratocaster. Says it all really. There’s something for everyone. You need 2 a traditional and a modern
Great playing. But why do all reviewers keep yapping on about how guitars sound. Just play, -we can hear how it bloody sounds. In this case, rather good! But on a more serious note, you should give Donald Trumps hairdresser a miss..
So glad to see a review of this guitar that brings out its subtle clean tones. So tired of seeing crunchy or overdriven blues guitar in every review.
Yeah, it's *ALWAYS* the same tired old rock n roll solo. I swear I'm hearing the same solo on every single guitar demo.
@@auxorion slow dancing in a burning room in every review ever
You even can’t imagine. I’m here after a hundred videos that have no idea what to do with a neck hum.
I agree here. I own enough pedals to get this guitar to crunch. But Hearing a variety of clean tones is great.
Just got this today!! My first Tele🤘🏽
You got the best of both worlds :)
How do you like it? Is it worth the money. I have other tele's and I looove all of them
Enjoy that
I just got this today too! That's right, it sounds the way a Tele SHOULD sound! He's gushing over this for good reasons!
that humbucker with split coil is a game changer... now the telly has it all.
I first watch a video of nick when he was just a kid. He grew up to be an amazing guitar player and musician. And he is demoing guitars for fender! Rock on man
Great demonstration of the various tones! And also beautiful playing:)
Really love the part at 5:03 when the editor decided to leave the transition offline lol
Hahaha paused right on it. "Media offline" in like 10 different languages
This guy and this video is the reason why I got mine ….Tone and playin is top notch and you can tell he’s being honest
Beautiful. Had to order one. I've been a Tele traditionalist, but Fender's work with Yosemite's and the Greasebucket tech makes these guitars very compelling. One can find these American models at great prices, so why not? Awesome demo. Thank you.
I just played one a few hours ago. Couldn’t put it down..
Best review on UA-cam of this guitar!
I'm falling in love with this guitar
Faaantastic played with a really great Telly sound!!!
And she is a real beauty!
This man should not be allowed to play anymore videos on potential products. He’s selling me on things I don’t need!! Lol
hahahaha
@@TheDonutDoctor surprised you went with “feed it hamburgers for a week” instead of “feed it donuts” 😂🍩
One of my favorite players!
Una joya de guitarra, las telecaster son mis guitarras favoritas, su sencillez y sus tonos realmente es lo que enamoran...
Great review great playing thanks Nicholas
I’m a big stones fan and that is exactly what im looking for atm
Yes!! It’s the best solid body jazz guitar
I mean given that the strats with a humbucker at the bridge position are called HSS, shouldn't this tele be called SH instead of HS since the humbucker is at the neck position?
You must have OCD like I do. I feel you, brother.
Call it however the fuck you want.
But the humbucker is at the neck position.
I immediately thought of the same thing. Continuity, dammit!

I have this very guitar. Thank you so much for giving me something to aspire for.

Nice Nick
Great to see you
Far out man
When the reviewer is giddy with delight..... Good one Fender. I want Santa to bring me this guitar.
Great playing Nick!
I agree with him about the regular tele neck pickup. They sound ok but sometimes you can barely even see it.
Love a demo of a guitar that starts with the person saying that they hate the type of guitar that they are demoing
Awesome review!!!!
It's cool that he's got the PRS inlays on his left arm
Nice to hear the clean tones of a decent guitar for a change! Too many crunch reviews out there.
I’m One Of These Students! And My Teacher Said I Was Great!
I love his playing
Lovely Tones !!
Thank you for the video, very useful. In your opinion it's better telecaster american performer or Vintera? many thanks again
Nice playing. Does the neck have rolled edges at all or is it a “sharp” shoulder ?

I’m so getting this guitar. I wanna know what felt.
This or surf green..they both look gorgeous
There's also a really nice like baby blue one.. but it's not humbucker. For HS this and surf green are definitely the nicest-looking
What song were you playing on the intro?
what genre of music would you classify what he is playing?

Very nice playing
Does this have a gloss or Satan finish?
Satan approves of this guitar
Gloss finish for sure.
😂
The subtle off-white coloring and the thickness of it...
Scored one on reverb for 850 shipped
Serious Graham Coxon signature vibes
What value pots are in this guitar? 250k or 500k or a combo of both?
Serious playing
Great playing......
........
what's the tone of the first 30 secs?
What song is he playing in the intro????
are you getting a loud output on all pick ups?

Not yellow ...Vintage White. And l agree The gig bag puts me off of this model .Hardshell case should come with a real guitar.
Me at 3:58 : Oh.... OK!
Didn't realise it had a tap. Additional point in favour.
Brilliant
You play ❤
Love that hamburger tone analogy.
250k or 500k pots?
Yes.
Does anyone know if the bit at 2:14 is an actual song? Or is it just random?

The tone at 2:18. I hate this dude.

Very nice, but I feel like that chicken had more things to say.
nice 5 seconds of chicken pickin
KEEF
"Let's get some chicken picking going on."
(plays for two seconds, realizes he can't play chicken picking, stops)
You're kidding right? He nailed it.
Nothing like a millennial talking about vintage tones
whats wrong with that? are you one of those ant-millenial losers?
Wont be more than 20yrs before most "vintage" age ppl are dead
If were calling vintage like 15 to 25 in the 60s
How about a millenial can talk about whatever tf they want
Putting a humbucker on a strat or tele is kind of missing the whole point. Let them do the things they excel at.
Don't gets the kids in a rustle with your logic and reason 😉
Keith Richards would disagree ;)

That color sucks. It looks like an old lady guitar. The honey burst is beautiful though.
