I always believed that Universe mode needed the Nemesis System from Shadows of War. Opponents would remember interactions with you, whether it was a win, loss or injury and thus a feud is created.

Something I want for universe mode is for the character selection screen to show who is on what brand when setting up matches like have the brand name beside the superstar or when you're setting up a card for Raw then u can only choose superstars from Raw for a match or something like that. Having to remember who's on what show or writing out long lists is annoying lol
Now that guys like Kane and Undertaker have retired though we need their player models to be from their peak. I’m taking Slow Chemical Kane and Wrestlemania 25 Undertaker. I might be on the minority when I say I don’t want to go into Universe mode with the old versions of the characters
This new pin system is way better. The mashing button doesn’t let you kick out after 4 finisher in online matches. It’s literally impossible to kick out unless you have a bionic arm

It's funny, I turn off the announcers and I do ALL the announcing for my Universe Mode. All the other changes, especially with Universe Mode sounds very amazing! The Title Belts look good, most of the wrestlers I think look better, except a couple, and I am with you, I hope there are more options with Becky Lynch's model.
Nice touch to Universe Mode. I hope that the Action Item list is varied enough to keep it fresh. I don't even care if there's not much control to the animation, I just don't want to see that animation that kicks off every rivalry in years past lol
I look forward to seeing the character customization and MyRise Edit: I hope they also add in bruising and blood for both male and female characters. Potentially a little less for the female side since they don't normally do blood on the female side but I would be more realistic because I'm sure there were times even the women started to bleed during a match. Maybe have it so it's after so much punishment to the head they bleed. For both genders and similar to the bruising. I noticed in the moveset creator when you practice your moveset after awhile the opponent your practicing against starts to get bruises. They also need to add more interaction with the weapons. Like being able to do finishers on the steel steps being able to swing the opponent into the steps, powerbomb onto the steps etc.

I figured the new feature in universe mode was going to be very basic. I wish 2k would just go balls to the walls with new game features/modes. For some reason they play it very safe and then expand. So like I said before I'll wait for your first impressions and full review.
I really hope they fix the crowd audio cause it's like the crowd is so dead, cheering at the wrong moments or at a superstar entrance the crowd just cheers for three seconds and goes quiet crowd pop should be much louder
The character models are so much more fleshed out. Even "Rhea's head look better and not thin boyish look,with more hair natural size head and better skin quality for everyone. This game is going to be fire. I can't wait 👏🏼

Aight WWE just uploaded 2 John Cena matches, and one of them was against Randy Orton form Breaking Point 2009. But I noticed that the ring ropes from Breaking Point 2009 were blue, and I saw 2009 Cena in the 2K23 trailer in a ring with blue ropes. So it looks like we gettin Breaking Point 2009 as an unlockable arena(or maybe it's Bragging Rights 2009).
An improved feature would be to actually have a faction member (in universe mode) actually assist or interfere in a match more. So far it's like the team member comes out with you, but they're actions in having an impact in a match is almost non existent.
I see no drastic improvement from last year gameplay wise. Shit still look the same from last year. I just hope the physics improves. We need to be able to stack tables, stack ladders, top rope finishers on top of cage or chamber pods, just all the good stuff we used to do in past SvR games
The Advantage is for the War Games match only for the team that gets their member in first you can choose what team gets the advantage or you can randomize it
I am excited to see how the new Kick Out system feels. I personally always liked playing with the timed mechanic instead of the button mashing just because when playing GM mode or Universe (my absolute favorite way of playing 2K22) you never know what might happen if the AI pins you. You might kick out of what seems like a hopeless situation, or you might slip up, and suddenly you lost because of that. The button mashing system always felt kinda fixed in my opinion, because the game makes it straight up impossible for you to kick out at a certain point no matter how much you're assaulting you're A button.
i also hope that this game has loud crowd pops depending on the superstars say for legends' they should get a louder pop,and in the rumble there should be louder pops
Yeah and I hope they will be more accurate when cheerjng/booing. I swear I could have a full on baby face and it would sound as if he was getting a mixed reaction...and also having the crowd chanting for the heels (like when I'd have Orton a full heel the crowd would be chanting RKO constantly)
I’m liking what I’m hearing so far but my biggest concern is with universe mode. I’m glad that they are giving us more actions in terms of what happens before and after matches and promos etc. but will if be fun for me to just pickup and play and not have to manually book these things to happen. Will the universe mode engine put together cohesive rivalries and matches that make sense
One thing I really don't like is that accessories/titles on wrestlers just float above them. I really wish it looked like the title was resting on his shoulder. I would think the "advantage team 2" would mean team 2 is the team that will be the team that gets the first wrestler added in so it's 2 on 1 in their favor then 3 on 2, 4 on 3.
I come to assemble for honest reviews, most people complaining, but remember takes alot to make this game, game looks good, good visuals. Maybe similar gameplay to 2k22, but we get new roster new visuals, war games and new roster themes also. I'm buying iconic edition I can't wait.
My personal opinion is if they would have added created finishers from SVR 09 it would have been better instead of just adding advance entrances💯 Create finisher would definitely be fun online💯

Yea I am glad they made the pin system optional. I always appreciate options in game, everybody likes different things so having that ability to choose what u like is great!
My biggest hope for the new 2k game is increased numbers and types of caw body types. They just seem to get more and more limited from past games. Why are there almost no body types with powerful necks, etc? They all have pencil necks and really throws off the CAW options for Goldberg or batista body type CAW's.
matt can you perhaps comment on a topic. 2k hasnt changed the sound effects of the impact of slams on the mat since 2015. the sound of the slams tomme sound like crunching and oddly too synthetic and bassy. it doesnt lend itself well to selling a heavy impact. what do you think about getting this changed. just a minor fix in the audio department could go along way in my opinion. as a refrence i thought the mat sound efects in 2014 were pretty close to spot on
My main reason for getting 22 was cause of GM mode but when I got the game and found out I would have to play remote with my friend and that made it not fun all the time. I know it’s possible to have an online mode for gm cause they do it for my league in nba 2k. I’m going to get it this year as well cause they did make improvements but in my eyes having an online version of the mode would be epic
The physical ability complaint should also be applied to the submission system. They need to bring back the pendulum system as the submissions in 2k22 were op if you just couldn’t mash fast enough. It ruins the online mode. As well the pendulum system actually felt like you were applying a submission and also gave it a more organic omg feel of a last minute kick out.
The thing I like to much they did is give Roman new spear with his roar,bring back RVD leg drop,taunts with weapons and I just hope they will bring back interaction with weapons,con chairto,choking with kendo stick,hitting with sledgehammer right into head(like Triple H does it or Cody does it)and new feature is put chair on body and do some moves like leg drop,frog splash,moonsault and etc,new backstage areas,car finishers and I quit and I will don’t need anything else to play this game for years
I'm not mad at the big time Becks version of becky but I need the over the top extravagant glasses, i need the shiny flashy jacket. All in all I'm not too worried about the characters and their attire because one thing I know is the WWE2K creation community is absolutely amazing and you will find and make mostly anything you want
Also, I know it's not the final build so it's not that big of deal. But did anyone notice the visual glitch in Shotzi's entrance? Her arms do this weird movement for a split second whilst she's in the tank. Seeing it made me chuckle. I'm sure they will fix it though.
I can't wait until you start showing roster that is a part of the game I'm interested in and new matches. Also I hope that they did something cool with creation suites.
I'm so happy that WWE 2k23 Has Wargames and Brock Lesnar has his correct entrance theme since WWE 2k22 had his 2002-2004 theme this game is going to be awesome glad Cody Rhodes is in WWE 2k23 and I can't wait to try the new pinning system.

Now before in 2k22 you could only change pin style in roster play, it used the default setting online. I'm curious if they managed to make it where each person can use their preferred kickout method online this year.
The advantage is jus who gets their teammate out first for WarGames. For example if Team 1 has advantage then their teammate will come first. And the other way around
They should really add more unlockable content like different outfits for many characters and characters to unlock. That's something I really miss in the WWE games. It would keep the game fun up for a longer time.
The "Advantage" option is for the WarGames match, it's for you to choose which team will get the advantage by getting their teammate to come out first

YES. The reversals being so easy were one of my biggest problems with 22
Yeah, that shit was like parrying in Shadow of War. Reversals in 2k22 were even easier than playing with unlimited reversals in older games.

Double title entrances are great. I personally am more of a fan of combining belts if one person has two, but keeping two is still cool

ADVANTAGE is for Wargames. The team with advantage has their teammates join first. So they get brief periods of 2 on 1, 3 on 2, and then 4 on 3.

The thing I like to much they did is give Roman new spear with his roar,bring back RVD leg drop,taunts with weapons and I just hope they will bring back interaction with weapons,con chairto,choking with kendo stick,hitting with sledgehammer right into head(like Triple H does it or Cody does it)and new feature is put chair on body and do some moves like leg drop,frog splash,moonsault and etc,new backstage areas,car finishers and I quit and I will don’t need anything else to play this game for years
They need too flip the title around but besides that everything this cool 🔥

I'm not mad at the big time Becks version of becky but I need the over the top extravagant glasses, i need the shiny flashy jacket. All in all I'm not too worried about the characters and their attire because one thing I know is the WWE2K creation community is absolutely amazing and you will find and make mostly anything you want
Also, I know it's not the final build so it's not that big of deal. But did anyone notice the visual glitch in Shotzi's entrance? Her arms do this weird movement for a split second whilst she's in the tank. Seeing it made me chuckle. I'm sure they will fix it though.
I can't wait until you start showing roster that is a part of the game I'm interested in and new matches. Also I hope that they did something cool with creation suites.

I'm so happy that WWE 2k23 Has Wargames and Brock Lesnar has his correct entrance theme since WWE 2k22 had his 2002-2004 theme this game is going to be awesome glad Cody Rhodes is in WWE 2k23 and I can't wait to try the new pinning system.

I love superstar mode. Glad it is back. I run my universe mode through my self insert CAW, then go to classic mode to do more in depth customization.

Now before in 2k22 you could only change pin style in roster play, it used the default setting online. I'm curious if they managed to make it where each person can use their preferred kickout method online this year.

The advantage is jus who gets their teammate out first for WarGames. For example if Team 1 has advantage then their teammate will come first. And the other way around

They should really add more unlockable content like different outfits for many characters and characters to unlock. That's something I really miss in the WWE games. It would keep the game fun up for a longer time.
