'Poland is counting on a miracle' is a reference to one of the most important battles in the history of Europe; Battle of Warsaw aka 'Miracle over Vistula' where the tide of war was turned and bolsheviks were ultimately defeated.
Poland in 1925 did better vs the allies then Germany did in the entirety of WW1
this is impressive till you realize why it was so easy to beat the soviet union after ww1

@@Sebaleroma That’s two years. Two years is not nearly long enough to build up an army to beat the Soviets AND the White Russians and then beat the entirety of the allies.
I mean if somebody got the balls, dedication, and inteligence to do it they might actually did you know Piłsudzki was a pretty bright and dedicated man while having the biggest balls of steel.

Facts
In case of Ukraine:
A somewhat better representation of historical reality would be to split their country in two: western Ukraine, at war with Poland over the city of Lvov, and Ukraine proper, at war with Soviet Union but neutral towards Poland with an option to become a Polish puppet when their capitulation progress reaches a certain treshold (Because that's more or less what happened historically)

They got it more or less figured out already with that "peace with Ukraine" focus imo
Plus it's an older version of Great War mod, maybe they have a newer version nowadays they're working on
However western Ukraine had existed for an extremely short period and they were already gone by the point of the start date
well, Ukraine wasn’t neutral to Poland. There was “Act Zluky” which united eastern and western Ukraine (or eastern Galicia region). There were many polish people in Galicia, so they thought of it as a part of Poland. This way Poland started a war against Ukraine. Poland had french support (guns), while Ukraine was fighting in 3 fronts (Communists, russian Nationalists and Poland), so Ukraine had no other options, but surrender, retreat from west and ask Poland for help in the war with russians.

Ok, I was under the impression Ukrainians in the west who fought Poland weren't under the same leadership as the Ukrainians who fought Communists, thanks for correcting me.

Here is a fun historical fact about Poles going into Kyiv back then - apparently first Polish patrol that reached the city got to the city center riding a public transport tram. Also, it was really historically convoluted with Ukraine back then - as there were like three different Ukrainian governments, and one was supported by Poland, the other by Bolsheviks, another was independent, and then there was Makhno with his Anarchists...

@@pc_suffering6941 from what i know yea but this was secret agreement with what i know independent side. also from what i know there wasnt central government. More like polish backed independent ukraine, soviet one and anarchist one. with polish one wanting independence after poland couldnt fullfill their side of treaty

Good video
Medals are useful for giving some extra experience to division commanders before promoting them to general, to get them over the threshold to guarantee starting with a trait. The medals themselves are pretty forgettable though, they just get lost in the sea of division modifiers that exist.

I sometimes assign medals. Mostly because I hate having lots of extra political power stocked up. Or if I have a small army and want every possible advantage. But its just so tedious. They need to make it more streamlined and easy.
