Buon giorno, absolutly nice , human watercolour is fantastic simile shadow for live paint eccellente , l wish you a Great christmas holidays give a Big like to your simpatico son 🎄🎄🎄🎅🏼🎅🏼☃️⛄️❄️ciaoooo buon natale
Thanks so much, Gary! I think describing it as easy is good, as a lot of my students can already do so much! Just by stopping being afraid and thinking about watercolor as something one is born to do, but rather a product of work and courage, I think better results will come! Stay healthy as well!
wow i really loved the contrast between the warm side of figure ( lower part) and the cool greyish indigo backround / upper part of the figure being cool contrasting with a warm greyish backround
@@watercoloronlinemsolovyev I am going to start painting watercolor technique , Specially portraits , I hoop they look good on me!!!!, Thanks for your advices
I learn so much from your process. I like how your pulling shapes and textures from the dry brush effect at the end of some strokes. Very intuitive,ty🙏🏻.
Oh, you know, I just look at my reference photos and think - let's go with this one! It is a rather spontaneous process, Lizzie :) Thanks for your support!
Sorry, not possible for regular videos, just for the video courses on the website. For newer videos, I usually show the reference in the beginning of the video, so just take a screenshot and you will have it!
Mr.Michael.Nothing to do with sketching. This is art at his best.Did you take that photo of the subject?I am in too watercolours for more than 15 years and you are my#1 .Tout simplement fantastique.
Hi Ady! Sketching does not relate so much to the quality of work as it relates to the short time in which it is being made :) Yes, it is my photo! Thank you so much for your support! It is heartwarming to get recognition from a colleague!
Hi Gigi, It has to be clear to me and everyone who sees the painting where the light is coming from. The shadows show the light, as well as creating volume and depth. So, the tone of shadow varies in function of how much light one can expect at this spot, and also whether it is a full shadow of a reflection. Thanks so much!
Thanks for the people sketch/painting tutorial. I love how you breathe so much life into these. I feel lacking in this area. Mine feel flat. Do you have any tips other than the ones given in this video? Shadows. Intriguing, and yet... You work more instinctually. I don't know that I have that certainty. I'm still finding my way.
Thanks, Darnelle! If yours feel flat, I can tell you this: it is shadows and negative space that create volume and depth. The trick is both you and anyone who looks at your painting should clearly be able to see where the light is coming from! Happy holidays!
Hi Nicole, just a lot of practice and discipline to avoid trying to be perfect :) Perfectionism is an enemy of watercolor. Thank you very much and Merry Christmas to you and your family as well!
At the beginning you “I don’t care about the details” but all your strokes were within the figure and those strokes really blended with the first layer of shadows. I think you care about the details from the beginning. Best regards :)
Well, I meant it in the sense that the small details should be taken care of later, and now it is about strategically placing large spots of colors :) Thanks, Michael.
simple? да уж симпл-симпл ! не симпл это, а очень даже дификлт!))))))))))))))))))))) Михаил, огромное спасибо вам! сэнькью вэри мач!
Большое спасибо, Ирина!
