Cebu Pacific is still the best-known, best-choice, most preferred, and most-loved airline in the Philippines.
Despite some hiccups, only Cebu Pacific can realistically take you to Singapore, Dubai and many corners of South Korea and Japan at very very low rates if you catch a sale (like 5,000 pesos round trip). It helped make the country my favorite and most visited in the world.
Singapore, Cebu, Japan, South Korea, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Bali, Boracay -- literally the best places in Southeast and East Asia can be reached very cheaply if you book promo fares.
So yes, you can run into problems if you aren't careful with the policies of budget airlines, but jump over these obstacles and you'll soon get why I am totally grateful for this carrier.
Cebu Pacific has become part of Filipino lives, including those travel vloggers you followed.
We wouldn't be able to fly that often if not for Cebu Pacific. ❤

@@mercadofabrosvlog8590 Yes 💯% Perfectly said. I'm very thankful we have Cebu Pacific! Just imagine without Cebu Pac. Back then, during 1970's and 1980's, Philippines Airlines (PAL) dominated the market. As it was the Sole domestic airline, Philippine Airlines (PAL) was virtually monopolizing the country's aviation industry. A minimum wage earner couldn't even afford to fly. Air travel was a luxury. Flying was very expensive. And Ferries were cheaper, the most practical and economical option to travel inter-island.
And it was also the period when thousands and thousands of Filipinos who could not afford to travel by air with PAL died every year in sea tragedies. And one of the worst sea tragedies was on December 20, 1987, the MV Doña Paz, a passenger ferry bound for Manila, collided with an oil tanker carrying 9,000 barrels of combustible petroleum products, sinking the ferry and resulting in more than 4,300 fatalities and only 24 survivors in one of the world's deadliest maritime disasters in history, killing more people than the Titanic disaster that killed more than 1,500 people.
And those difficult times and sea tragedies were all long gone when Cebu Pacific started flying. Cebu Pacific changed the air travel in the Philippines, and because of Cebu Pacific all Filipinos (Juan) have a chance to fly. Air travel became very accessible, available, friendly, fun, and affordable, and all Filipinos can now fly to their favorite domestic and international destinations with quality and friendly service at an affordable price.

I've never experienced unreasonable delayed or canceled flights with Cebu Pacific, domestic or international, except if the weather is really bad, or due to airport congestion, or if the worst Manila airport-NAIA shuts down, all other flights get badly affected too, being delayed and cancelled, which creates chain reactions nationwide. CebuPac have such a tight schedule of flights that quick turnaround of aircrafts is essential. A delayed flight for whatever reason means cascading delays in succeeding flights.
In my over 20 years of traveling. I have only flown with Cebu Pacific since then; I had two bad experiences with PAL and Air Asia.
Whether it's netizens flagging seemingly "arbitrary, capricious or whimsical" cancellation or a Self-entitled lawmaker Congressman Rufus Rodriguez of Cagayan de Oro city is calling for suspension of Cebu Pacific's franchise because of his wife's flight delay, is out of his mind; he is losing his mind. Some Filipinos are just too naive, ignorant and self-entitled; they think the cancellation or suspension of the franchise of Cebu Pacific will solve anything, but rather, this will create bigger problems. Millions of Filipino who travel on a budget will be totally affected; including OFWs who go home to see their loved ones and families on a budget; the hospitality, travel and tourism industries will be badly affected; and thousands and thousands of Filipinos will lose their jobs, just like what happened to ABS-CBN. Rodriguez is acting like the former president and tyrant Duterte. Most Filipinos chose Cebu Pacific because it's cheaper, more practical, and it offers more flights nationwide, Cebu Pac started the piso fare, seat sale in the Philippines. Some mindless Filipinos think the financially devastated and Bankrupt Philippine Airlines (PAL) will solve the delays and cancellations of flights in the Philippines. They're dreaming and living under a rock. PAL itself is also very guilty of flight delays and cancellations, and with its ridiculously very expensive fare, overcharged fare, and very poor service, with shortages of aircraft and decaying and rotting aircraft. Good luck Philippines. Some Filipinos didn't have any idea how crazy life was back then. The era when Ferries were a more economical and practical option for travel will be seen again in the Philippines if Philippine Airlines (PAL) dominates air travel in the country, just like what happened during the 70s and 80s. Back then the masses-the majority of the Filipinos couldn't afford to travel by air when Philippines Airlines (PAL) dominated the market during the 1970s and 1980s. PAL's fares were ridiculously very expensive. 1974 - PAL continues to dominate the industry by having the monopoly on domestic travels.
As it was the sole domestic airline, Philippine Airlines (PAL) was virtually monopolizing the country's aviation industry. And Air travel was a luxury.
And it was also the period when thousands and thousands of Filipinos who could not afford to travel by air with PAL died every year in sea tragedies. So stup1d, Rodriguez is so stup1d, and cr@zy, he is losing his mind. Good luck Philippines. 🤣😂

Did you know that Cebu Pacific changed the air travel in the Philippines, and because of Cebu Pacific all Filipinos (Juan) have a chance to fly. Back then, Ferries were the most practical and economical option to travel inter-island.
My parents, uncles and aunties told me that they couldn't afford to fly back then, they couldn't afford to travel by air when Philippines Airlines (PAL) dominated the market during the 1970s and 1980s. As it was the sole domestic airline, Philippine Airlines (PAL) was virtually monopolizing the country's aviation industry. 1974 - PAL continues to dominate the industry by having the monopoly on domestic travels. Air travel was a luxury. Flying was very expensive, PAL's ticket from Cebu to Manila was more or less 6K and during 70's, 80's and 90's it was too much, the PAL base airfare in 1980's or 1990's cost 6K or 20K in today's peso. It was very horrible; it was very awful; they could not afford the air fare; it was ridiculously expensive. Flying during those days was a luxury, and the flight attendants were unfriendly and unapproachable; they thought too highly of themselves, being overweening and overbearing, especially to the Overseas Filipino Workers.
Fortunately, when Cebu Pacific started flying, everything changed. Air travel became very accessible, available, friendly, fun, and affordable, and all Filipinos can now fly to their favorite domestic and international destinations with high quality and friendly service at an affordable price. We're very proud and very thankful to Cebu Pacific. We love Cebu Pacific. Cebu's flag carrier. Cebu Pacific is the largest and the leading Airline in the Philippines. Cebu Pacific is the most popular in the country. CEB operates the widest domestic network in the Philippines. Cebu Pacific is now a household name.
In January 1972, Philippine Airlines became a monopoly in domestic air travel after the late Dictator and Kleptocrat Ferdinand Marcos (by virtue of his powers under Martial Law) ordered the foreclosure of two other airlines - Filipinas Orient Airlines (FOA) and Air Manila Inc. (AMI). Marcos implemented a one-airline policy.
