The original German route was 'Hagen to Siegen' which got essentially rebuilt and got renamed to 'Ruhr - Sieg' in TS2013.

To answer your question it depends on what region of the US you ask. Here in the great plains we say RIO GRAND. Where as down south with more spanish speakers they would say GRANDE. Its the same thing with words like pop vs soda vs coke. Creek or 'Crick', mornin or morning, etc
Don't have to imagine this drive...I do it 3-4 times a month. Always see at least one train along the way each time.
haha I don't know how fast trains go in the UK but as a Polish kid who used to live in Poland incan say the trains here are absolutely incredible. standing next to one pass by is fucking terrifying and exhilarating at the same time. Also from experience the ones over in Europe don't go too much faster if at all, it's not uncommon for them to exceed speeds of 70-75 mph. my current favorite Locomotive is the SD70ACe. I live near the UP Transcontinental Line in Chicago land and see the ACes on the regular. listening to then spool up to 950 at notch 8 is nothing short of a symphony of mechanical power.

The horn should be a K5LA, RS3L, or P3. I don't think any of the Rio Grande SD50's had RS3K horns.
In Minnesota we pronounce it rio grand and yes, it literally means big river

Yeah, what american trains lack in speed, they make up for in immense, raw power. Some american freight lines have carts connected stretching a mile or more. They can transport an entire cargo ship's load over land if need be.
In North America here the trains are long and slow as they are thousands if tons and some locos have up to 4000-5000 horsepower

1) in what way could american trains be called "Dainty"??
2) Most Americans call it Grand, but some call it Grande. Just depends on what part of the country you are in.
3) At the end, you did not SPAD because that light was for the mainline. You were taking the diverging track which had a separate signal on the left side of the track which showed clear.
If you have to buy one scenario, like Soldier Summit, that's focused on the U.S. West, which one would it be? I would like to purchase one. I only have the starter DLC.

The Sd50 has a v16 that pushed out like 4000 hp, they never where made for speed, just raw pulling power
DatSkinnyChild EMD SD50; EMD 16-645F3B, Power out put of 3500 to 3600 HP, most have been rebuilt and reduced to 3000 HP because the 645F's was horrible reliability, known for twisting it's crankshaft and breaking it.

Because DTG aren't known for optimisation, and they're working on UE4. I hope they don't muck it up like TS16 though.
