MotM many a time during his 3 seasons here, at his best could totally dominate games for us and will always be remembered for his goals v the German teams in that Europa League run to the final, thought he was the best and most consistent player in the squad during the 1st few months of Clement's tenure and a shoe-in for a new contract but was obviously looking for too much, clear to see that he'd checked out and his head was elsewhere in the final couple months of the season.
Scored not sure where it ranks but one of the most important goals in our history in the best atmosphere ever at Ibrox that night
I will Always remember the day he scored that goal from inside the box .. We were in North shields .. watching on a big screen .. what a goal for Celtic ..

To be honest I always want to be authentic. I love Rangers. I have for over 40 years. I am glad Lundstram is gone. I don't hate the lad or anything. I just don't rate him as a player. He had his wee purple patch and there was some good, but it was mostly sub standard and its these types we need to be rid of if we want to progress back to what we used to be in the SPFL.
Couldn’t be more in agreement with what you said. I didn’t ever rate him very highly, when he first arrived he was well short of fitness and was garbage for a long time. Admittedly he tried hard and worked on his fitness which paid off and he gave us that one good season where he found some form and enjoyed himself. Since then he’s really been out of sorts and never looked happy under Beale or clement. Best move for both parties at this stage as I can fully understand why clement didn’t want to have him on a long term deal, probably because he’s not part of his thinking for building his own side. Sterling would give us a lot more in the same position and seems to be in clement’s plans going forward. Not the worst player to pull on the jersey but by the same token he’s replaceable fairly easily. I’d say exactly the same of Barisic, a decent 18 months for us and never hit the heights since, not an awful player but certainly not someone who can’t be replaced.
@teddysuhrensghost263 I agree mostly. I would really like Sterling to take over in his natural RB role next season, however he was very good as a CDM and I wouldn't be against another RB coming in and him being at CDM. I would just prefer to see Sterlinf get a run at RB.
@@rangersnut yes, I think clement is in need of a couple more players for those positions to give cover and competition. I won’t shy away from saying that if tavernier stays he shouldn’t be deployed at RB anymore either, we desperately need someone in there who can defend. Might sound stupid but I don’t see why tavernier can’t be used on the wing. He’s decent going forward as we know well enough, he’s just not that great a defender. I mean he’s better than most supposed wingers we do have, Scott wright immediately springs to mind 😂
