Nice review! I ordered the black ion plated version and am waiting for it to arrive. How difficult is it to see the negative lcd? And do you think this can pass with business casual attire, or is the rainbow dial too vibrant in person?
Thanks mate! These could absolutely be worn as business casual. It's flashy enough but not too gaudy. The colours are actually fairly muted in person, you have to get the angle right for the colours to really pop! As for the negative display, it's quite readable in person but does require a bit of a closer look. Hope that helps!
@@watchdepotAU Awesome, thanks for the quick reply! This will be my first casioak and I was debating between the rainbow brick and the GBM2100-1A with solar and Bluetooth. Hope I made the right choice!
@@Shifter97 Hey! I ultimately decided on the rainbow brick because it's more similar to a limited run, even though it's not advertised that way, because it's part of the rainbow brick collection. Once they sell out, it'll be hard to say if and when they'll restock. They're also not readily available at any stores near me, especially the black ion plated version which is an exclusive that can only seem to be found on the gshock website in the US and EU. The GBM, while nice, aren't part of a designated collection, they're just 2100s with solar and Bluetooth. They're also available at a ton of local retailers. Not only that, but I find having the day of the week for the subdial on the rainbow brick a ton more useful than the function indicator on the GBMs. I figure if I truly dislike the rainbow brick, I can always change my mind within the return window (though I'm sure I'll love it). And if I decide to keep it (highly likely) the GBMs will always be around in the future. All this to say that I had my heart set on the GBM until I discovered the rainbow brick, and once I saw the rainbow brick dials, I immediately wanted it and it made me question getting the GBM. That must mean something, lol.
@@user-yz5mn2go2d I totally agree with everything you said, especially about the black ion version being released in limited numbers. However, I prefer the positive display and like how the blue color flows through the entire watch face of the GBM, where the GM bricks almost looks like a fancy sticker.
Beautiful g shock

@@user-yz5mn2go2d I'm in the same dilemma, trying to decide between the same exact watches. What made you decide on the one you ordered?
