  • I was looking forward to playing this. Seeing how it got so much recognition before it was released. But the mod needs a lot of polish... Just stick with Mmod or Smod for now.

      There are houndeyes by the trains that you fight before you even get in the canal. It makes no sense.

      As a person who made Brutal Wolfenstein: UBER HERO Edition
      (yes. just another more weapons/enemies mod of customized version for brutal Wolfenstein mod lol)
      I kinda honestly agree and it was hard to make fun to play. rebalancing the game balance makes much harder, It's hard to improve each weapon/enemy's quality, Improve maps, etc... it was hard to develop. I don't wanna do such bullshit again, I'm planning to abanded after the 1.1 update

    Little tidbit about the weapons. All the weapons are either imported from Valve's games or Weapon Packs from Gamebanana. All the "HD Weapons" are from Juniez for Vanilla Half life 2 then imported to MMOD then to Overcharge. The M9 and some of MG's came from CSGO and the Beta. As a result, the art-styles clash.

    A lot of the enemies feel really out of place. The main thing I liked was the Hydra, and even then, they were introduced in a horrible spot and why were they seizure machines?

      @@dkskcjfjswwwwwws413 It was a more physics based tentacle from half life 1 essentially that wasn't limited by the level as much, and, as a environmental hazard/enemy meaning it could fit in a lot more places like the canals/underground, and abandoned factories to lie in wait for it's prey, man, transhuman, and xenian.

    Some people look at the HL2 beta arsenal and say "good thing many of these were cut, there would've been too many weapons". Those people forget the weapons could've been cut at any time and most likely were never supposed to ALL exist in the game at any point. Regardless, the devs of this mod seem to have gone "okay, so we take the HL2 arsenal, then add all the beta weapons, then add all weapons from other HL games as well as the HD model versions, and then add some more random weapons for good measure". That, to me, is what I don't get. I get the beta weapons, I get the OpFor weapons, maybe (?) even the HD models, but why feel the need to add even more?
    Also, you know what other HL fan game seemed to me like it had an over-saturation of weapons? Yeah, the one we don't talk about. You know the one I mean, involving a certain fucked up face.

      At least the weapons in Black Messah are episodic, meaning that you get the gun for a few chapters, that way the weapon arsenal is not tacky and all the weapons get to "shine".

      I could be wrong, but I'm also fairly certain the reason the HL2 beta arsenal was so large is because Gordon would have lost his loadout multiple times throughout the game. You wouldn't have had 4 different SMGs throughout the game, you would have had the MP5k for a short stretch, then you would've replaced it with the MP7, then you would've replaced it with the AK... etc etc.

      @@unimportantcommenter4356 Yeah "shine" isn't really the word I'd use for anything in President Keemstar: The Game (except for some of the textures that are overly shiny) but you're right. On the other hand, you have Snowdrop Escape which has a large number of weapons with a system where you have to switch out weapons. I felt like many of the weapons in that mod never got a time to shine as a result.

    Fun fact: the creator of this mod is the same guy who made arctic adventure: Episodes. I also had an... interesting experience near the start. Something happened with the weird rainbow hydra shader, and the game wound up not rendering the world... at all. Only the entities.

      Fun Fact: Graphical issues and some gameplay issues are why Valve cut the hydra.

      @@andyfriederichsen Not sure where you got the graphical issues part from, but yes, the predominant reason as to why the hydra was cut, according to raising the bar, is because it was unfair to play against and led to playtesters dying without knowing what killed them frequently.

    FINALLY SOMEONE WITH A BRAIN! This mod is just throwing crap at a wall and seeing what sticks and don't call me a vanilla praising elitist because I'm fine with change. You can change this game to whatever you want just put some though into it. If anything this inspired me to try and make my own mod so I'll see what I'll do with that.

      im sorry but when i have beaten for the 1000 time i get sick of it. I want new weapons new NPCs i want better gamplay and cut areas. DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME?
      half life 2 is a good game dont get me wrong but it gets boring after a while.

      Looks like a pretty fun mod where you get to pick up new weapons all the time. For a hl2 campaign that's generally a good thing for spicing up the experience.

    I didn't mind playing through this mod but yeah, I was extremely underwhelmed. I feel like it's not crazy enough to be a proper smod experience(in terms of the weapons at least, they were all kind of shit), and too crazy to be just an enhanced Half-Life 2 experience

      Nova Prospekt was probably the worst experience of my life though, the added EP2 antlion workers that helped you alongside the normal antlions sounded cool except whenever a combine killed them, they exploded and you would still take damage from the acid

    You know what has grinded my gears since the mid 2000s? People who add a decabajillion guns to their mods, with never any per-slot limit to keep those decabajillion guns from completely overloading your inventory with a decabajillion essentially identical weapons. It quickly gets impossible to make tactical decisions with them because what you need is buried under so much scrolling or tapping or spinning through what you _don't._

      I actually avoided playing Killing Floor with more than 2 weapons in each category (melee, secondary and primary) because I utterly loathed switching to weapons I didn't want to use while desperately needing that quick switch... so imagine my face watching the video and seeing a weapon list going almost to the bottom of the screen.

    I actually like how ridiculous the amount of guns and enemies are in the mod, whats problematic is how they put enemies in places where there shouldn't be, they should have put those in fighting setpieces, and they should have either made the guns more powerful, or make the player tank more damage and make them drop some health/suit armor. That would make an interest8ng experience where you to stay on the move and kill enemies to survive.

    I guess to give the mod credit, it's really just for people who want to mess around with different settings in HL2, hence the huge options menu. So it's not like the definitive way to play HL2 and it's not like an expanded universe, it's just the equivalent of installing a Minecraft shader, I guess. Just to get a different perspective on something you've seen a million times. Like, there's no reason to have a kick functionally replace the crowbar (you know, only the most iconic melee weapon in gaming ever) or bullet time (something Half-Life is NOT built around whatsoever).
    The real problem the mod has is one almost every mod has - it's building on top of something that's already there, something that's been balanced and refined to a tee, and that just doesn't work. You can't just add random enemies to random HL2 sections, because Valve put a ton of thought into where each enemy SHOULD be placed, and if there's an empty spot, that's supposed to be that way. So I suppose they should have just made new maps entirely or at the very least REPLACED existing enemies instead of just adding and adding and adding.

    You weren’t kidding about the weapon styles being different. Most of these are from different games.
    Just based off this video, the Glock looks like it’s from Black Mesa Source, the M4 and Beretta are from CSGO, the M249 is from CS Source and the M1014 is from Left 4 Dead, and who knows what else

    I personally like the mod. It's not for everyone and that's okay. I personally like the cut content and even the inclusion of concept enemies like the charger.

      Same, I also really like this mod - I've played and seen normal HL2 many times so adding 30+ more weapons, new enemies, bullet time is crazy fun for me. Overall I'd still say MMod is the best HL2 mod out there with a pleasant balance of vanilla and actually adding/improving things in the game.
      But then again, i'm also someone who actually liked Hunt Down The Freeman (unironically).

    Also, if you pick up the gun in the tower from Water Hazard, that chopper gun, you don't need to use any other weapon, 'cause the ammo regenerates

    i just want a mod the subtly adds back in cut enemies and weapons, like houndeyes and bullsquids, cut areas too. like i feel like in the earlier chapters there shouldnt be any houndeyes or bullsquids, maybe some cremators, but the further you go out of city 17 the more and more wild aliens will show up. instead of just being everywhere in the city. i also dont mind gonomes, but i feel like they should be used WAY more sparingly.

      I actually think that bullsquids make sense in the early game since on hl1 you would often find then in sewers and in areas with radiation... And well the first few hours of hl2 is basically a giant radiated sewer level
      The houndeyes though are more animal like and i think it makes little sense that they would make their homes near the big cities

    I think Overcharged's biggest problem is that it felt like it was made for screenshots and trailers before it was made for being an actual game. For example. Remember that room from Half-Life 2 with all the enemies in it? Well, we added 20 more enemies to that room! That sounds really fun, except for the minor issue where you keep dying because you're outnumbered by many enemies. But fear not, because we added about 100 new guns! Isn't that cool? Except not really, because that's basically the video-game equivalent of having a big, nice chocolate cake. But then you add sprinkles. And then ice cream, then strawberry syrup. Then banana syrup, and then finally adding cheese and bacon in top. And putting sprinkles on those. But...why? It was perfect before. You've ruined it by adding way too much things to it.
    Oh, and that one Pit Drone in the pipe section during Route Kanal. I always thought that Adrian killing the Gene Worm at the end of Opposing Force closed the portal so no Race X could ever come to Earth, but even if it didn't. Why would they be on Combine-occupied Earth, especially so close to City 17 where Metrocops are going to be going anyway while chasing Gordon? Of course because of Vortigaunts, we know that aliens can appear on Earth. But every vortigaunt we see is either hiding in a rebel base or is enslaved. So what about that pit drone? Is he a slave and on his smoke break or something? Combine put him there to ambush Gordon?

    This mod truly feels like going into GMOD and placing all the enemies yourself.
    MMod is the best Half Life 2 mod for Half Life 2 IMO.

      MMod is the definitive half life 2 experience for me. I tried to use the pistol as much as possible in my playthrough as it actually felt good to use and sounded good too.

    yeah it has a lot of very weird stuff, especially some map changes that i just don't understand, like why did they add exterior lights in the interior of the trainstation ? why are they using the version of the citadel that doesn't have that cool "going into the clouds" effect, why are the smoke volumes in ravenholm so bright. So much weird useless stuff, and that's not even talking about the ridiculous ennemy placement.

    I'm tellin' ya. Make a mod where you get an insane amount of guns, but make the way loudouts work like Halo. You only get two gun slots, and they have extremely limited ammo. You only get new guns/ammo from enemies/caches. Make all the new guns obtainable through enemy deaths/set pieces. This way, you are *forced* through the way the game works to interact with all the new guns, and (ideally) you also have a fun experience getting pressured to scavenge for more ways to defend yourself.

      Or maybe:
      You have the same amount of weapons you can carry like in the base game. But the enemies or even the weapon spawns will have random variations, and you can pick them up, replacing the current variation in that slot. Basically:
      9mm Pistol - Can become any pistol variety (except for deagle)
      357: Deagle
      Shotgun: Any shotgun in the mod
      SMG: Any SMG in the mod (like the MP5, or even the Shock Roach)
      AR2: Any CSGO rifle they got
      Crossbow: Ranged weapons, like the Pulse Sniper or the Annabelle

    This mod could be amazing if they decided to go back and polish and do quality of life updates. Change enemy placement, and change weapon damage values and remove some useless weapons than it could be fun to play through the story again. Half life Alyx is a good example. You get only a handful of weapons that have their own personal uses and nothing more. It does seem interesting and warrant a playthrough to see everything, but easily frustrating. BTW love you contend Rad.

    The constant enemy fighting robs the game of any combat fun. Constantly shooting stuff doesn't make a fun shooter, instead it turns into a tedious one. Generally in games you want to raise and lower the player's tension. Raise it with challenges and such to make the game exciting, then lower it to avoid them from getting tired and thus bored or frustrated. Even PAYDAY does this well, and it's a game where you spend 30 consecutive minutes shooting cops and moving bags, but even it has breaks. This game instead keeps you at mid tension because the only break you get is by not moving... but who the hell wants to stop moving in a story-driven game such as HL2?
    The author should've worked on more setpieces and combat areas to fill that desire for big combat, rather than just filling every 10 seconds with enemies.

    I liked the part where I could take off the gun from the airboat and use for the rest of the game(not sure about E1 and 2 not there yet). I'm pretty sure they didn't test it because that thing is one of the most powerful guns in the game and IT TECHNICALLY HAS INFINITE AMMO it just takes time for it to come back. Combine that with the slowmotion and this thing can legit carry you through the whole game.

    This makes me think of a lot of the problems that Halo mods like SPV3, and the various rebalancing mods add. Rather than fixing the problems they just add more by cramming as much stuff in as possible. There’s plenty of really cool ideas that would be fine on their own, but they all just compound to make an unbalanced feature creep.
    The thing you said about how the fast zombies were built up in the original, and adding them in right at the start is very similar to my thoughts on a lot of mods for Halo. The original version 343 Guilty Spark where they introduce the Flood was done phenomenally. It did the perfect job of showing the Covenant running away, and doesn’t show what has them so scared. You can see things off in the distance jumping and you don’t know what they are yet. Then you go deeper into the facility, and see barricades with dead Covenant and green go hear and there. After that you reach the room that finally introduces the Flood. First Infection Forms break down the doors in random, then Elite Combat Forms break down the door where you came in but they’re unarmed. You reach this elevator where you think you’re going to escape, but you just go even deeper and see alien blood just painted all over the walls. Then you reach the bottom and see what became of the marines, but now the Flood have guns. This does a perfect job of setting up the big reveal, and eases you into how fighting them works. Unfortunately plenty of mods just throw all this out the window by putting Flood biomass everywhere, mixes them up early with weapons that don’t mesh with the CE sandbox, and completely ruins everything good about how that level was set up. Plus, adding in biomass this early ruins Cortana’s line in Keyes where she says “look in the corners, the Flood are gathering bodies” implying that they use those not turned into Combat Forms/Carriers into biomass for a Gravemind (which ruins seeing Keyes being absorbed).
    While it is really cool to see Race X and fight them again. It just doesn’t work with the setting because they should be wiped off the map by now. Anyone’s that remained should be enslaved with machinery. Also, seeing Alien Grunts doesn’t really work either. If they had Synth carapace for armor it could be used to imply that the Combine learned the secret, and are manufacturing their own. Sadly that isn’t the case, and they’re just there too be there.
    I really like how the Houndeyes, and Bullsquids are here because they should have been on retail. That being said you are correct about their placement not making any sense. They should really be reserved for specific areas. Bullsquids could be near water (sewers, lakes, the canals, and other places), while Houndeyes would work better near caves (above ground), and in the woods showing that both are now part of Earth’s ecosystems.
    Hydras we’re done better in dark interval where they reimagined them as level hazards rather than being enemies. Plus, the shaders they used are a lot better than what these guys used.
    They also have the Chargers cut from HL1 using the demon look. The models were taken from that Opposing Force 2 mod that sadly shut down (I have plenty of ideas for how I’d continue that project. Or at least what an idealized version of me who actually knows how to code, and is really good at level design would do). I like how they’re in herds, but they have plenty of problems. For one thing they spit acid at you which is redundant because Bullsquids, and Antlion Workers already do that. Plus, they aren’t introduced very well. They could have had a set piece where you see them off in the distance gathered in a circle watching two others ramming each other. There could have also been a part where another enemy is headed towards them, and they all start roaring (using the spitting animation without the projectile), and stamping the ground ready to charge like a bull does. Then they charge once the thing gets too close perfectly setting up their behavior. Sadly, pacing isn’t one of this mods strong suites.
    What’s sad about this mod is there is so much talent and passion poured into this, but the overall vision for what they wanted to do doesn’t work. If anyone of the devs is reading this I mean no offense. You work is impressive. If by chance Masterz the lead dev of SPV3 you stupid Keyes vore fanfiction was absolutely atrocious (he wrote this dumb log where Captain Keyes wants to vore his own daughter Miranda).

    After playing this mod up to Highway 17...yeah I think I'm just gonna wait until Coterminus finally releases. The developer of that mod seems like they are actually putting thought into how to balance all the weapons and addition of new enemies.

    One of the wildest things about this mod was watching A Jolly Wangcore accidentally stumble upon the Lost Coast chapter and upon its completion being teleported into the middle of Highway 17 without his car, forcing him to travel the rest of the way on foot.

    Agreed on the kick damage issue. "You're supposed to lower it down!" - to what value? 25? 30? 40? 10? And don't tell me "you pick what you find fun" because that's not an argument.

      The kick is basically goving the player a nuclear warhead and expecting them to neft it down to a regular crowbar
      And i actually think the kick is a good idea because i hate having to switch constantely from my gun to the crowbar to break boxes and and stuff and the kick does solve that...

    This mod suffers from being released far too early, they should’ve released it next month, not in February and patch it later, the are coast soldiers on ONE LEVEL, who are just errors, adding items that have no purpose like the fire extinguisher, but not the Mp5k? Why do we need two MP7’s? One just has less clip size, the MP5 is already useless as it is, along with finding most of the weapons being a chore. Plus the enemies and animations are just… the best example is the Alien Grunt, it’s the worst looking thing in the mod with a very close 2nd being the Gonome, Houndeyes look weird, I think bullsquids use an HL2 Beta model which means of course it’s gonna look good. But when you beat the base HL2, it leads right into the episodes, which might be where most of the bugs and crashes come from, the mod is trying to keep so much together in one package that it tries not to fucking die right on the spot, but instead crashes, even then there are missing assets that are essential to beating the game fairly, in Ep1 you can’t even beat its first map cause the truck dog throws you in, just not there, it’s hitbox is there but nothing else, the game tells you that you can get inside it but NOPE, you can’t, so you have to noclip inside the citadel. How did something like this get past? How did nobody play-test to see that this was an issue? (Edit for EVEN MORE POINTS)
    You’re able to used ironsights but they get rid of the crosshair when you use it, so you have to forcefully turn on this dynamic rt ironsights thing or something, I don’t even know if this is meant to be default setting I’m done with the game. Some of these FX options just don’t save, and most are just there for “Let’s add this, this will make it even more overcharged!” The beretta is from CS:GO, with the M4 also being from that game. Assets from other games being used and as you said, it is jarring and clashes with the style of HL2, some animations aren’t even that great for some of these. A new weapon in this mod is the Pipe-Wrench, and Jesus Christ it’s hitbox is fucked, it activates way to late for when you swing that it’s strange to even hit anything, if you play the coast for a while you get 2 sniper rifles, the beta rifle below an ACP at the crane level, and the enemy sniper rifle, so the crossbow is just made useless.

      Yeah, I think the extreme level of redundancy in the weapon quantity really hurts the mod's balance, especially when many of the weapons that actually substantially alter the gameplay are hidden off the beaten path and you might miss them with no chance to get them later (which also makes the weapon limit function rather pointless since you might be tempted to hold onto something knowing that you'll possibly never find another.)
      It's not like Half-Life 2 with weapon switch mechanics couldn't work - plenty of competent shooters do it. But instead of just having 50 guns most of which are redundant and make some others obsolete, it'd be better to try cross balancing: give players the option to use the crossbow OR the combine sniper and distribute ammunition in such a way that both are reasonable choices.
      I get what they were going for, as there's definitely some appeal to the idea of having to scavenge for weapons in an apocalyptic setting and making tough decisions about what comes with you through the game or gets left behind (if anyone remembers I Am Alive, that game did it pretty well by giving you a gun that had like 4 bullets in the entire game to be used at your discretion) but it really just doesn't work in Overcharged.

    The HL1 enemies in particular really bother me. The Bullsquids and Houndeyes could have been a nice touch considering they were once intended to be in the game, but at least use the Black Mesa models or even the HL2 beta models instead of reusing the HL1 models. It makes it look like Half-Life: Source. But my main issue is the other HL1 enemies. Seriously, why are the alien grunts and controllers here? The Combine killed all of them, that we know of at least. They didn't really have a reason to use them, just the vorts for manual labor and the power of the Vortessence, along with their sentience in the first place. AND THEY USE THE HL MODELS TOO! I'm not sure how well the Black Mesa models would look in HL2 considering that (to my knowledge) BM works on an even further tweaked version of the source engine, but they at least could have lowered the quality of the Black Mesa models if it was an issue. Either way, they just look out of place. I don't know if there are any Gargs but they'd only further exacerbate these issues

      I suppose it’s ok if you only want a braindead arcade shooter type experience, but the in universe storytelling is what really makes the half life games stand out honestly.

    Hopefully the devs see this video, you pointed out a lot of things I noticed with the mod as well.
    Once they get the bugs fixed, I'm sure they'll begin smoothing and adding better content to the mod, as they're aiming for a full Steam release and have said they'll be working on the game to improve it for that.
    I personally always enjoy these things because they, at the very least, freshen up HL2 enough for a unique playthrough.
    The most OP weapon in the mod has to be the hand held airboat gun. Ridiculous, but makes the game more negotiable when you're playing with full mapadds and on hard settings.

    as a fan of smod i was really dissapointed with it, even in smod the enemy placement was somewhat balanced but here its just ridiculus. also the weapon models (specifically the hl2 ones), a citadel and the hand textures are not original (or probably stolen), and the fact that they're not switchable is another thing that irritates me, they are just out of place.

      Weapon models are made by juniez, while the arm models have some form of the originality, they remind me of hybrid HEV hands made from Themanclaw's, AVM and J.Barnes' retexture.

    As someone who only played ravenholm on overcharged I'd say I got mixed feelings. While I liked the addition to the map, adding the beta docks and all. The overcharged added enemies ended up not dying to the traps, which kinda takes away from ravenholm.

    This mod is exactly what I expected it to be. Another Smod. Not that it’s a bad thing, but it just doesn’t do anything to improve what we got in retail (all things considered, it is kinda hard to improve upon perfection).
    For starters, the Xen and Race X fauna are a welcome addition. Granted, there are some areas like in the canals in Water Hazard where their placement is bizarre (not to mention sometimes their navmesh completely fails and they remain as stationary targets - ie the hound eyes) but it’s breaks up the monotony of encountering the same CP units for the past two chapters. More strategic placement for these guys would not only make it more easy on the intensity, but also would realistically make sense (on the bridge section of highway 17, spawns got so bad that enemies started piling on top of each other like someone spawned them in quickly in Garrys Mod).
    The introduction to the combine overwatch is wayyy too early. Assassins and soldiers fighting alongside CP from that level where you get the magnum feels very off, and not to mention both work in completely separate environments to each other and that the overwatch use different squad level tactics from the CP. The introduction of the Aftermath skull breakers is cool, but they are about as threatening as the base soldier and shotgunner themselves and do nothing to spice up the combat. It’s odd, considering the first time you encounter a skull breaker is a deceased one with a Milkor MGL beside it, but they never use that weapon at all.
    Speaking about weapons... why? Most games I am completely for new weapons being added, whether it be Far Cry, Halo, COD, etc. But only in Half Life 2 do I see new weapons as a problem, because it adds redundancy and in some cases don’t even make much narrative sense. What I mean about “narrative sense” boils down to the “combined kriss vector”. Out of all guns in this mod, why is it that a Vector is the only gun that’s “combined”. I like the idea that the Combine use everything from humanity that is useful and throws away the rest, but the Overwatch, especially the skull breakers, all use guns that are human engineered and designed (minus the OSPIR). And I’ve never seen a soldier carry the vector once. So why does it even need to exist as a “combined” version if the Combine themselves don’t even use it?
    Other than completely game breaking issues like the bridge section in Highway 17 not loading correctly for me and everything mentioned above, I give this mod an
    Aight/10

    9:08 that reminds me of when I see the poisonous headcrab delivery zombie thingy for the first time, I was like "wtf was that? Why did it throw that thing to me!!? How am I supposed to kill that thing!!?". I don't exactly remember how I react when I see the fast zombie for the first time tho, which is a bit sad. Also weird thing is that first reactions in Half-Life games are always so wholesome and memorable, like I still remember when I first saw the scientist getting killed by the military dude and I was like "wtf!!!!?? These dudes are supposed to save us not kill us!!!". Are you still reading this comment?. Anyway I remember when I fight the HECU soldiers for the first time I remember hating them (probably because mobile controls sucked) but on keyboard and mouse they are my favorite enemies to fight. Oh and I also remember when I enter Half-Life 2 for the first time I have like 30 questions on wtf wtf happened to Earth. One last thing: why are you still reading this comment

    The instant I saw how many weapons there were I knew it would be an issue. Both half-life games have very particular design; every weapon serves a specific purpose. Overcharge is like putting a potato in front of someone and giving them 47,961 knives, forks, spoons, hammers, etcetera. Descision anxiety does not belong anywhere near half-life.

    Exactly my thoughts on this
    SMod tried to do some unique things with the gameplay and weapons
    While here overcharged literally just lifts assets and ideas from games and other mods and lazily shove them into HL2 without any balancing or thought on how to implement those systems effeciently
    Like the kick is absolutely op it makes the melee options completely obsolete. Weapons and enemies from Opfor are just completely out of place and look horrendous compared to everything else due to their low poly models. The models and textures and code of the "new" stuff is literally copy pasted with minimum changes. The settings are hella confusing and their defaults are terrible
    Even MMod with its more conservative approach felt so different from HL2 yet in a unique good way. I really don't get the hype surrounding Overcharged and I'm pretty sure it's gonna be forgotten way sooner than MMod or SMod

    This mod is extremely messy, unpolished and generally not very fun imo. I'm not a purist, but if you're going to radically change Half-Life 2 gameplay wise then you need to change the level design around it, you can't just drop in completely different weapons, change damage values and drop some new NPCs in areas never designed for them

    Most of the added weapons are from cs:go or just half-life source weapons with HD textures and I also despise the stupid grenade hotkey that every modern fps has

    The concept of this mod is incredible. However, it's not good at all when pulled off. It's way too buggy, and I wanna play farther but my game keeps crashing in between level loads and I just can't take it seriously when this mod was so hyped and its just this buggy. It's one of the least polished mods I've ever played.

    honestly this mod seems like something i could do in gmod by loading into a hl2 map, but the difference is i would actually have control over what enemies im randomly throwing in, and i would actually be having fun

    It adds AK, OICW and beta weapons to HL2 and lets you play all episodes in 1 game

    I will be the man out and say I absolutely love the mod, it's not ground breaking by any means but it's super fun and a little challenging. I am glad it came along as it gave me a chance to play the game again with a twist.

    I got rage quit when I was playing water hazard level there're so much going on in this level like for example, The scene when I got chase by a helicopter And I need to go to the tower just to open the gate and shoot the heli before I go there there's warehouse and there's a lot of combine and 5, 6 assassins IDK And when I enter the warehouse It's just chaotic in such a limiting space so I died a lot then i just run pass them. Another example is the section where the combines are gonna roll the oil tank and I have to do an U-Turn on the slope surface. I died a lot and every time I screwed up the boat I was just getting swarm by the bullets everywhere funny enough that I got out alive with one health then I got hit by an apc missile. It's not fun at all. I played mmod before and it was very good. Enemies are so out of place in ridiculous amount (And it made me actually know why they cut some enemies from beta). The AI is a lot worse than mmod sometimes it's just feels like COD Veteran mode AI. I was playing this mod on default gameplay settings except some all additional things that I checked. And I played on normal difficulty compared to the mmod It's just Insane difficulty spike. The only thing that I very enjoying is the combat mechanics since I enjoy playing F.E.A.R. a lot I always love the gun-fu style and this mod actually allow me to do this type of thing. But overall It's just a broken mess that need a lot of works to do and make something more understandable.

    I had the same feeling about there being way too many weapons and feeling like this was a bunch of gmod addons all together. The mod definitely needs some more polishing...
    I really recommend you trying and reviewing Underhell, it's my favourite mod, it's really good ^^

      nah, they're both the bad end of the spectrum. the creators had some good ideas, but they were implemented poorly.
