Hey Cathi! Sorry for the late reply. I would think there wouldn’t be an issue sewing with one of those handheld machines. But definitely try it out first. It may not go through several thicknesses of papers, but maybe a single sheet. If the needle is changeable, you may want to use a different size. I use size 10/11 on my regular machine. You want want to try those or even a size 9? Let me know how it goes! Many blessings!!! 💛
You must possess that special gene that allows you to cover up (aka -layer) beautiful work on top of beautiful work on top of beautiful work....could you hear me whimpering and protesting all the way over here in Virginia......noooooooooooooooooooo don’t cover that.... Please don’t get me wrong, you are the queen of layering, and when all is said and done, I love, love, love your work, but I could not, ever, never do what you do (because I’m missing that creative gene you have) ❤️❤️❤️

I am TERRIBLE at sewing because my machine hates cotton thread too. I hear you say you use tension at 4, what length do you use for your straight stitch? I have messed my machine sewing so much because of cotton thread. Going to get some poly!!
Sorry for the late reply Deanna! My machine has stitch length settings of 0-4 and I am set at 4. I don’t know if that helps, but it’s the longest stitch in my machine! 💛
I am recovering from...well a bunch of bad health. Have loved "Linda binging" 💕💕😊 My husband says to say thank you for aiding in my recovery 😋😋 Please keep it going, I've got a bit of a haul ahead. Hubby realized how lack of crafting was affecting me, so even though he ABSOLUTELY abhors the mess, hes moved some of my things into the den. We married in 1985 and I still love the guy❤ . And turns out NOT KILLING him those few times I considered it turned out to be a good choice as he's taken great care of me [over a year now] as I've been so ill. I thank God for the Blessing He gave me that fateful day we met all those years ago. TYFS your wonderful talents, linda. I can healthfully tell you that YOU HAVE BEEN A LIGHT in my life. I know you are a person of faith and it shines in all you do. May God continue to BLESS you in every way and may He Bless the work of your hands. I don't know if you consider your channel a form of ministry....but from a subscriber of several years...I THINK what you do is a ministry. His Light DOES shine through you and we are all Blessed to have found you.😇

I have been where you are going through cancer and chemo/radiation 5 years ago, barely enough energy to walk to the bathroom and my comfort in that time was watching crafting videos...saving those ideas that inspired me, so that when I could craft again, I’d be ready. I looked forward to that! And those voices I heard on those videos helped me not to feel lonely and of course, take my mind off of things. I wasn’t going to just lay down and die...I had my faith in Jesus to walk me through whatever I need to face. I pray He continues to bring you grace, healing and love and I am thankful that your husband is a source of comfort for you and that you decided not to kill him! Husbands can be useful! LOL.
