The Phoenix Foundation are an indie rock band formed in Wellington, New Zealand. History: Founded by Conrad Wedde, Samuel Flynn Scott, and Luke Buda in 1997 while students at Wellington High School, they were joined by Tim Hansen (bass), Richie Singleton (drums) and Will Ricketts (percussion) in 2001. ^♥^ visual & aural delights ^♥^ Hitchcock The Phoenix Foundation Five years on and I still think this is the greatest New Zealand song & music video to be made! If Seaworld had a video, it could possibly be a tie...
Dittos on the awesome soundtrack. Was very appealing to look at. Not sure whether it got the point across, at least not in my case. Those "electric petrol" cars had some serious torque.
These guys are the coolest band in New Zealand. They kinda look homeless when you see them in person (they have beards, woolen clothing, brown or grey suits from 1960s-1980s, and kinda look sort of depressed) however, they produce some of the most beautiful sounds and styles to be heard.
Who would guess these are 'electric' cars? It's a beautiful piece of work, no question. But the message of clean electric cars versus dirty petrol guzzling 4 x 4's....? Is it *just* me or is that lost here? Great visuals and complimentary soundtrack all the same.
The Humvee is just a predecessor of the Jeep .The Jeep is 4x4 American invention and embodiment of sprit and industrial power of the United States after and during World War II. The United Stated did defeated Germany and their Volkswagen. General Eisenhower stated one of the main the reasons the United States won the war was because of the Jeep. The Jeep was a military vehicle that was commercialize in 1945 and led the way to sport utility vehicle.
The United States Car Culture that proceeded WWII was of greater influence in television, movies than the German. Americans were and are their cars good and bad.Volkswagen was a civilian car first in 1938 then producing military vehicles during war not the other way around. By the way its Volkswagen not Volkswagon, I dont insult people because I think that time could be better used learning or better yet teaching.
Hi Bob, It used to be that titles meant something. Any next clip of anybody could be called called "Cinderella (...). Or givven the 33'd word on an ad random found page of a dictionary. This way of giving titles will of course not affect the "quality" or "content" of the "clip". Dead directors are not moving around in their graves because of this clip, as I just confirmed. A more gracious treatment of their fans would be sincerely appreciated. Till an explanation, I sign with Cinderella
This video wasn't attacking the American people, it was attacking the (and excuse my generalization) country hicks who feel it's more important to a car that gets 13mpg* but says "hey I have money!" instead of a more economical and less wasteful/harmful vehicle such as a Toyota or Honda. *city mileage for 2008 Hummer, according to fueleconomy gov
i object to your "objection" because i don't think it really "matters" that they called the clip "hitchcock" as it doesn't affect the "quality" or "content" of the "clip" and i certainly don't think that "already-dead-movie-directors" are turning in their graves because "dead people" couldn't care less.
Yes, I have to agree with you, that you never accused me for "blowing goats". And, yess, in the reactions till now, I have not found an explaining why this title "hitchkock" was chosen. I am not getting mad, sorry to disappoint you. Till further explanation the clip has a misappropriated title in my vieuw. Till then, I sign by the name Cinderella (...) etc.
This film is just a stupid joke, `cause the car they are using there is a Zhiguli model - one of the most popular in USSR and still widely-used in former USSR republics. And all that things about flyin and other stuff - is just 3d-max or Maya or whatever.
Anybody else objected this "clip" because of its misapropriated title yet? I sincerely object. Presume that "already-dead-movie-directors" are turning in their graves these days because of this title. The ones still living dispair because of the wasted time you served to so many people. Why not give your next clip the name "Cinderella", "Jesus", "Buddha", "Mohammed"? I will be out of "futureshorts" before that.
fuckign beautiful, this is still by far one of my fav channels on youtube
This film could't have been made Cooler! Brilliant! Great work!
