I swear, whoever sat down after the Aincrad arc of SAO and thought " Let's make every single main villain from here on out a perverted, disgusting, pychopathic, predator of a being" can go to hell. I refuse to rewatch SAO because of that very reason. From Oberon being a pedo, one of the Death Gun killers being a obsessor over Sinon, the two noblemen rapists, Poh getting off to Kirito's type of character, to Gabriel being a perveted knockoff of Shang Tsung, I've about had it! Crazy how the guy who made a death game is the most tame villain
lol you've got a point. But historically speaking, they're not far off when it comes to alicization. Women and children were treated exactly like this back when law was basically whatever the nobles wanted it to be. People with power who don't have ethics are a menace ngl.
I will say Eugeo is a man amongst men in his reaction though. Blows his own eye up by forcing past a seal so he can violently put a stop to it is peak karma in action.
The fact the second entry and others like it at the most watched made me realize just how sick and twisted a lot of anime fans are. The only thing worse is how obsessed anime seems to be about SA even on children.

Devilman is a show where the main character is a devil and the villain is an angel. Of course, the devil is the good guy here, and the angel is the bad guy who wants to destroy the world. So he lets the humans learn about the existence of our MC, a devil, and people go nuts. Since "devil" is usually associated with "evil", they go on a witch hunt and brutally murder anyone who is associated with the MC. Most humans give into chaos and start living like savages. After all, if the world is going to end, who would care about laws and ethics? But in reality, the devil and his friends were actually trying to save the world, but this "witch hunt" makes the MC lose faith in humanity. In the end, the angel wins, the world ends, and everyone dies.

Naw Devilman if you watch this one or the crybaby one both of them do not hold back on child killing which had me traumatized this why anime be holding back on killing kids well some of them not all but yah Devilman, Akame ga kill, and RE zero especially Higurashi when they cry will always be the reason why I'm not watching Berserk until I hit age 25 cuz man these other anime now be holding back on the killing while back then anime they said F it people need to know life isn't sweet.
Most villains that are ignorant fool who think they can get whatever or do whatever they want to people for their own advantage brought this on themselves.
I have not seen a decent villain/antagonist for a while in anime, most of them are immature kids given enormous power without any responsibilities or psychopaths enjoying brutality. when I recall johan liebert(moster) or aizen(bleach) or askeladd(vinland saga) or takasugi and utsuro(gintama), these(in video) villains appear/seem funny/laughable.
