TV LIcensing May & June Threat Letters

- More investigation of my adress by the goon squad according to their latest threat letters. Now the letters seem to be arriving on a regular monthly basis once more. Still LLF (Legally Licence Free) so no licence required.

I always return to sender unopened.
I've just received threatogramme letter no 25. They used to be once a month but now coming more frequently. This can't be a cost effective system and must be costing the BBC millions.
They farm out the sending of letters to a company called "Whistle" or something like that. Imagine if it costs at least £1 and they send millions every month that all adds up.
I'm aware of that but I do like to have a bit of fun!
I just posted my 30 odd back from the last 7 months back to them without a stamp. I always do it, when i got a few.
How's it going to reach them without a stamp?
@@HarryDuBois616 The Royal Mail tries to get the money from the addressee before delivery.
It's classed as an RTS, and the price is included when they purchase down stream access
Do Royal Mail send them back then or just bin them ? My method is no contact at all then they have no idea if anyone lives at the property. Their threat letters just disappear without a trace.

I am now have 36 letters in my collection. I am hoping that in the future that collector's will pay me for my unopened letters. I have had 2 letters this month a new record. BTW they say they will pay me a visit on the 17 July. Last time I had one of these visit letters I stayed in for them and they never turned up , not even a apology. I was mad to say the least. Do you think i should claim compensation for not keeping an appointment as per other service companies.
You could try but would be wasting your time. Best strategy is no contact then they have no idea who you are.
iv heard if they bother more than twice that's harassment, so iv heard.. then any more than that its stalking,intimidation, harassment and bullying... and just to add im not anti BBC nor anti anything.. but i think people deserve to have a choice.. and no company should be allowed LEGALLY to shove their product down folks throats and charge them for it.. that's like Burger King forcing you to pay a yearly fee for burgers you don't want and don't eat... and the intimidation is awful !!!
They should not be allowed to carry on the way they do, no other company would get away with this sort of bahaviour. I think that is also the reason the bbc farms out the "enforcement" process to capita.

Personally i am legally licence free, can't stand live tv anyway.
many channels do the BBC have cause iv not watched any BBC stuff since i was a boy when my grandad watched there politics carry on.. i dont even watch sports and i dont even own a T.V. or Radio..

i fill out the not needed declaration on their site and never ever hear from them
I've heard that doing that attracts their attention so I'm weary. It sounds like it worked for you.
I refuse to contact them, it is just the principle of the matter. I am not required to contact any other company when i do not require their goods or services.
@@Britephartt I have heard similar stories about capita then sending a goon around to check that you are not watching live tv.
if you send it back to them (do not pay for it ) they have to pay 🤣🤣🤣🤣
No they don't, the return is built into the price they pay for down stream access

The only problem if they scrap it is that it will be included in council tax so i am happy for them to continue with the licence fee as it is.

What happens if they do come to your door and they know your name ?
Ask for ID. When they produce something, tell them that you can't accept it as you have no way to verify it and shut the door on them.
Does not matter you don't have to talk to them, don't confirm any details just shut the door and carry on with your life.

I am getting one each month too.
If they turn up then just tell them to go do one. it is so not important.

Keep it that way, they have no idea who you are and therefore cannot do anything about having no tv licence (as long as you are legally licence free).

The only problem is that they will end up including the fee with your council tax or internet service providers will add this to your monthly bill.
