Real ID! I had been putting it off too, and then found out you can do it online! Upload the docs they ask for, wait for them to be approved, and then it's a quick trip to the DMV. I did it on a random Friday I had off work: uploaded the documents in the morning, got the confirmation email, then took the verification docs to a scheduled appointment at the DMV that afternoon. I was in and out of the office in under 20 minutes. (This was in California too)
