It also doesn't have any object permanence, *including* for the player themselves. So you may be walking around in a village, turn around, and now you are inside a giant wooden structure that vaguely looks like a shipwreck or maybe a house. So in other words, it's pretty difficult to actually play the game when the game itself keeps losing track of where things are. While this does give you the benefit of no fall damage since it forgot how far you fell, it forgets the scenario too so you can't go places like underwater or *stay* in the end dimension because you looked at the floor which looks vaguely like a desert.
It’s so impressive that if you give one of these AI models just an absolutely insane amount of footage of Minecraft gameplay it does this which is mildly playable
i played this yesterday and it was so fun, especially because of the lack of object permanence. It’s just so dream like and that what makes it great. It’ll only get boring if the AI model gets better
i think it would be better if they refine it to the point in which inputs are more responsive, but i agree in the sense that if it gets too similar to Minecraft it will lose it's charm
You're doing it wrong. Instead of trying to collect items, you should just be trying to make a screen which looks similar to an Enderdragon dying then it will just "become" that.
don't worry there are still people who's brains haven't rotted enough to worship AI. there will still be games made by people because they like to rather than just for the money.
its not that bad. Not that i support the idea of making everything AI made though. As a fun experiment i think this is awesome, but it shouldn’t be the future of games. It should just stay like this, for free, for anyone who wants to goof off.
its so interesting seeing how it interprets minecraft; it almost gives me a sense of how this kind of stuff works. highly recommend trying it to understand it 👍
If you add a timer in the corner, it might be more likely to give you speed running type stuff considering a good portion of MC content in its database probaby has that
This AI game gave me bad side effects. After playing it a few times, my tummy hurt, and I also felt weird IRL, like for the next hour I subconciously expexted objects in my house to change and dissapear.
I wish this was better, I love the concept of an AI generated, dreamlike Minecraft where nothing makes sense but I wish it was higher quality and more responsive
Yeah no, can't treat AI minecraft like regular minecraft, no way to progress with it's total lack of off-camera state. And the resolution is so low that things can change even while you look at them. I think when they get that new ASIC processor that could render 4k, it could be a lot more stable and able to actually keep things still in view, but even then it would be almost impossible to achieve anything. But I love the dream-like features the lack of state permanence gives it. Especially how it often reinterprets your look direction 90 or 180 degrees because of how 90 degree symmetrical the game looks. Changing a wall or ceiling to a floor is just so trippy.
0:02 well you see the problem is that you need the programmers to make the game first so you can get footage you can train the AI on... isn't that a bit annoying aye?
the people who made this have a website called oasis. It doesn’t require any crazy stuff like a gaming computer, i ran it fine on my mediocre laptop. It’s also free. You do have a time limit though. BUT once your limit’s up you can just get in queue again
Yea this is terrible I know but imagine if it was flawless. You wouldn't need to even program games or 1 person could just make a game. But even if they got a thousand times better they'd still have big problems so yea unless people play just for the jokes, its not happening in my opinion
its AI generated. There is 0 code from minecraft, instead it was trained on hours of videos of minecraft gameplay and works from there. Its fully intractable.
Something's fishy about the video, broski reacts to the axe breaking the stone before the axe breaks the stone. Perhaps not playing/interacting with anything and rather recording commentary over a pre-existing ai generated video?
1: ai does not steal art and is a tool to speed up certain processes. 2: this is a ai trained on minecraft videos to try and mimic minecraft for the purpose of seeing what ai is capable. 3 training ai has very little effect on the environment and the effect it does have is easily manageable and most of the info on it causing harm is very outdated.
@@funni_noises1. AI DOES steal art. It is trained off of images from the internet and replicates those images. It has been shown to steal ocs of people multiple times 3. AI alone does have a little affect. But when millions use it, it starts adding up. And the more advanced ai gets, the more carbon emissions it will make per prompt
"it steals art" no it doesn't, people have a very poor understanding of how AI uses data sets - it does NOT replicate the data it's fed, it does not KEEP the data it's fed. and to be frank, AI is probably going to be great for genuine art. if machines can do it now, then it means artists will have to go back to creating art for the purpose of self expression, and not for profit.
This minecraft AI doesn't even have anything to do with the art one, I don't get it. Also, literally everything is "horrible for the enviornment." Cows farting are horrible for the environment, but I'd bet your the same person who thinks we should never harm cows ever.
@@cloudyfromtpotrealI never said the minecraft ai steals art, and no I don't care if a cow is killed. There are so many things that harm the environment, your correct. so we shouldn't be adding any more
It's interesting to see how the AI understands how minecraft visually looks and plays but doesn't understand how the game works
It also doesn't have any object permanence, *including* for the player themselves. So you may be walking around in a village, turn around, and now you are inside a giant wooden structure that vaguely looks like a shipwreck or maybe a house.

@@shibainu2528its so funny like that. They shouldn’t improve the AI model and just leave it like this
@@shibainu2528 object permanence is a little impossible with current technology, it only has 3 seconds of context if I believe
Its due to low memory in terms of what it adds, and no actual mechanical code that could make things reliable
