The brotherhood in Israel is another level. I wonder if it’s bc of what they go through day in and day out with the terror and constant threat of war, sharing a land of such rich history that constantly reminds you that you are Jews and the people around you are your brothers. I definitely feel an extra dose of closeness to every Jew, religious or not when I’m in Israel. It’s something special.

Natan Goshen - the white shirt singer is both a singer and a songwriter. He wrote this song for Liran Danino the singer with the jeans jacket. Both are talented singers with divine voice. At concerts in Israel, the host singer likes to share the stage and invite fellow singers. The audience likes it very much.

Thanks for introducing me to these singers! I've never heard of them till now! Regarding your comment about the hugging, Jewish people are usually very close knit and warm towards each other. There is actually a commandment in the Torah to love your "neighbor" like yourself.

Natan Goshen wrote the song for Liran, and the Israeli brotherhood is something that cannot be described in words. In the end, we are a small place.

Israelis tend to be very emotional and demonstrative. They don't hide their feelings and they say whatever they are thinking. People can find them to be too direct but they are just super genuine.

The words "shelo tivki" mean basically "that you should not cry." I didn't get the context well enough on a first listen, but I believe he is talking to someone female, someone he cares about, telling her not to cry. These voices were superb together. Thank you for introducing me to these singers.

You talked in the video about the fact that we are really connected as a people, after the war that started with us, I hope you understand why... we always go through murder and hardship

Traditional hasidic singers don't make concerts as often as others. Most of their gigs are weddings, private parties for other occasions and charity events. There are some formal concerts every so often, but they don't typically "go on tour"

The "quiver" in the notes is a very Eastern thing. It adds a lot of beauty to the music

First - Israelis hug. A lot. Always.
Second - in many performances, Israeli singers host another singer/s for few songs alone and together.
Third - in regard to the tempo change - I noticed that you prefer to watch lives rather than official videos. You do realize, I guess, that live performances sound different, not exactly like the original song. They play with the song and change it a bit. Sometimes it's much nicer, sometimes, I'm afraid, it sounds... well... not so good (I'm being gentle now).
That specific song was the first of Liran Danino, written and composed by Nathan Goshen.
I usually don't reccomend music videos for you, I like to see your picks, but if you like lives, I'll give you three that I like a lot:
    1. Ishay Ribo hosting Amir Dadon & Amir Benayon, in Amir Benayon's song: Nitsacht Itti Hakol = you've won all with me: ua-cam.com/video/WKE9XRCtnSU/v-deo.html
    2. Amir Dadon and Shuli Rand duet "Bein Kodesh Lechol" = Between the Sacred and the Profane. One secular, one Ultra-Orthodox. It's a short one but really nice: ua-cam.com/video/CFkz_NWwBSY/v-deo.html (I personally prefer the original version: ua-cam.com/video/sCJh9YcrL3k/v-deo.html).
    3. Four giants on the same stage - Hanan Ben Ari, Ishay Ribo, Nathan Goshen & Idan Amedi (pronounced "Ee-dan"), in Hanan's song "Imma Im Hayiti Yachol" = Mother if I could: ua-cam.com/video/yVVKux6CmRY/v-deo.html
Conagratulations for reaching over 4K subs! Keep on!
    Tzippy

You hit it on the head again. The chasidic community won't typically go to a concert like this one. Usually, a chasidic concert would be part of an event like you saw at the Dirshu event or some other gathering.

When you said "this song has something to do with crying" the literal words were "so you wouldn't cry". Good catch 😂

How come my heart is still empty
Still empty, as if I hadn't touched it in years
And it burns so I scream
I scream, fall down and cover up my face
    And it's easy to see
    How much I've tried
    I couldn't rise
    My dear, my dear...
No one will see you anywhere
Anywhere, no matter where we go
    And the sadness soon arrived,
It takes a place as if it came just for you
    And when our bodies shivered
We laid down and you whispered to me
    "Don't leave me all alone
    My love, my love..."
Who will catch you then so you won't leave
So you won't leave, and won't leave you all alone
Who will catch you then so you won't cry
So you won't cry, I don't trust anyone
    With you...

Big reason for the production quality (I think) is you’re watching Israeli pop stars. Significantly more money and resources behind them. They’re not just catering to the religious market.

The Ashkenazic pronunciation is SHAbbis - spelled Shabbos. The Sefardic pronunciation is ShaBBAT. So the accent is on a different part of the word.

To answer your question,it's not about Israeli or not Israeli, it's about more to the secular side or maybe call it more open to the world kind of Jews vs more Orthodox, observant, Jews, closed up communities, etc.,that don't usually gather for music as a purpose for itself, and it's not structured as you would generally expect from common stages and singers in the world ,it's about somewhat or something about a religious aspect and they do the singing or the music revolving around that specific event, to sum it up, the purpose, and the structure, are different, and of course it attracts different crowds and obviously the singers aren't the same type of people, but they're all Jews as in all communities.

It would be quite unusual for a chasidic singer to make an actual concert. So typically you would hear them live at a charitable event.

Really enjoying your reactions to the videos. I saw some of your videos have over twenty thousand views! If you are still looking for suggestions, I think you would enjoy this one with Eitan and Shlomo katz. It's two brothers singing together, and (at least I think) really beautiful. ua-cam.com/video/2Nx_tkCB0a8/v-deo.html

I know a Rabbi in Toronto area with a beautiful synagogue and community that would be more than graciously happy to meet with you to help you explore Judaism in person. If you’d want to set that up, I’d have to figure out how to contact you.
