    The corporal there took unauthorized steps. The proper step protocol is to take one step forwards as the point of the flag is folded forwards. That is, one step when the fold creates a squared end. There is no need to step forwards on the fold that leaves a triangular end, since the length of the folded flag is not shortened beyond that pointed end. For U.S. Marines, that's sloppy. However, the explanation that there are thirteen folds is correct and proper. Carry on.

    I have checked many woodworking plan sites. I think the instructions from Stodoys are the best.
