That's one thing that I've noticed about these Rob Zombie Halloween movies people either love them or they hate them, it doesn't seem to be an in-between.
@@HorrorMine I think that people often times complain about how they want a adaptations to be different than the original and then when this is done, they complain. I present to you Star Wars.
I hated them myself until this blumhouse shit came out. I never even watched h20 until last night and i thought it was awesome. Itwas fun horror like the 80s. Nobody knows how to do it nowdays so they need to just dont.
This was different and I liked it. I loved how huge Michael was in it which made him quite terrifying and dangerous. I think Tyler Mane is by far my favorite Michael Myers.
@@dericjames2018 nah the 2018 / 2021 / 2022 recent edition of Michaels was by far the scariest , much most eerie and demonic than the 2007 one I don’t care how big he is
I really liked your analysis of the mask and how mean it looks compared to the blank expression of the one from 1978. The original Michael and the remake Michael are two entirely different characters and the expressions on their masks really do represent their characters well
I don't think they should have made Michael's family so overtly abusive. In the origional film the family appear quite well off; big house, nice neighbourhood. Making Michael the son if a Middle Class family that is subversively abusive; turning him into a psychotic serial killer, would have been a better rebuke of seemingly 'perfect' family units, and how types of family abuse that aren't overtly obvious are just as harmful as crude alcoholic dead beat stepdads.
Agree with you 100 percent. Rob Zombie called John Carpenter himself for his blessing. And John told him to make it his own and he did. Maybe it's nostalgia for me cause this movie came out when i was seven and i watched it to hell but i dont think this film is bad. Yes he took out the supernatural aspect of michael but this is Rob Zombies interpretation of the Shape. We will always have the legendary 1978 film. Zombie took a realistic approach to Michael and made him an absolute beast. I personally don't think it deserves the hate
Exactly! He made Michael Myers his own and made him absolutely terrifying. Being that there’s only 2 films in the Rob Zombie timeline, it’s a version of Halloween I’ll always appreciate.
I agree, having grown up watching all the old ones, this one by is the best interpretation of the Myers Story. And Mike being that huge was the best part in the whole movie.
It was sad that he killed Dannie Trejo But then I had to remember that Michael was no longer a person but a vessel for evil So it made sense that he even killed the one person that treated him like a person
I'm sorry but this movie is the best version of Halloween I'm not sure about part two I'm still sort of mixed but this dude nailed Halloween better than anybody else this guy understood the source material better than anybody else.
In my opinion this was an excellent film, I loved the introduction of more of a backstory and the time he spent with Dr Loomis, Michael himself was absolutely menacing I thought Rob did a great job with the mask and everything that went along with it, I too agree that Lori's character was a little off but other than that I thought this was a solid film, this film had the potential to take the franchise in a great direction but the sequel absolutely ruined it, I think the sequel should have stuck with the original sequel I think that would have been an awesome film but the way the sequel turned out I was 100% disappointed
there were only 2 things good about this movie. The first one is they've tried to explain the backstory of Michael (in a horrible way). Second, it ended. Other than that, they've ruined all character arcs, especially Loomis'. All the scary factors are just jumpscares and bad camera movement, with no psychological aspects like the old movies.
@@emirak8228 Truly agreed. I could hardly watched it without sleeping. The only thing Michael done in this movie that is meaningful is that he killed my 2 hour.
Tyler mane is the only michael that ever scared me. I loved rob zombie’s remake. I liked it more than the new ones for sure. The cast was phenomenal, even though sheri isn’t that great. I love her though.
Love it mate. Rob Zombie's take on Halloween is the best I've seen, personally. Could you do Hereditary next please mate? My personal favourite horror film of the last 20 years 🤘
I genuinely loved this movie so much. Michael was actually so scary in this one. Can't forgive him for danny trejo though, that was too much like he was on of the few people who cared about him! I don't remember if i actually ever watched the second one but this one was good and i always reccomend it.
I like both. Zombie gave us a much needed backstory, but I also think it was pretty powerful that we had no idea what was going on and it just starts the way it starts
I mean Ronny was probably piss drunk, so I can believe he was sleeping pretty heavily. I’ve literally seen my cousin fall off of a top bunk of a bed and remain asleep in that state lmao.
This film was enjoyable and grittier however I hate the second film as it heavily departed from the original storyline of the OG films which definitely felt like an entirely different film.
I mean... I didn't HATE Rob's Halloween, but i mean, there's no way he'd be able to capture the magic of the original. I love the hell out of him, though.
Whoever enjoyed the theatrical release should see the screener cut if possible. It's the better version imo especially the ending. "Michael! It's not your fault, Michael!!"
