Very good Mike. Yes I don't mind doing monitors, they are easy and always have a good chunk of steel too. I just finished yesterday scrapping 3 mid sized office printers (about 30Kg each), took forever to unscrew and separate all the plastic and metal, but got quite a bit of clean steel. The boards were OK, and ended up with lots of nice motors. Take care. 👍
They are good value for steel, like flat-screens they can become quite monotonous and like printer plastics there is a lot to get rid of. That's great. How much steel do you think you netted? The motors would have been good value, too! There are a lot of small screws in printers, especially the free-standing ones, not to mention pesky e-clips that hold the nylon wheels onto the steel rods! Do you depopulate the boards and remove the transformers and inductors for copper recovery?
@@MicroScraprMike I didn't take notice of how much steel I got, I just kept chucking it with my other steel, maybe 60Kg ??. I've still got the motors, and yes I will depopulate the boards later.

Interesting, Mike, although not much difference interms of hardware or build design, never the less great video. 👍
Thanks for watching!
Nice breakdown video!
Thank you! Like tvs lol, monitors can be just as monotonous sometimes 🤣
I kinda like doing them, but only 1 at a time. Good luck with your 60+ you have 😂
@scrapitall200 Haha. Thanks. I managed to roped my wife into helping me. She is a champion and a lifesaver.
